Thank you for taking the time to write such a lengthy review. I am only sorry you found the house and location so disappointing. It will take too long to refute all your comments so I have just picked out a few. Mattresses and bedding are a personal choice and I am sorry they did not suit you. We use Dorma because we consider it to be good quality. Incidentally ninety per cent of bookings over the last ten years have been for parties of ten and there have been no complaints about the capacity of the accommodation or the comfort of the beds.The house had had a thorough clean as usual. Supplies… It is a self catering house however I DO supply wine, sugar, coffee, tea, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, salt etc etc (sorry you did not find it.) Location- A study of google maps might have been advisable as it shows all the villages close by with their excellent pubs serving food. It shows that the particular villages you wanted to visit were 40 minutes away so the house may not have been a wise choice for you. I am glad the bells from the 14th Century Church in the village did not wake you. It is a shame you did not find the church as it is only a few hundred yards from the Old Bakery. You do not mention the children’s playground in the village, which I know your delightful children enjoyed. I had no intention of embarrassing you Francesca by making the following comments , however your review leaves me no choice. In all the ten years of renting. I have never had the house left in such an awful state, particularly the kitchen and dining room. I found very soiled children’s underwear in the washing machine and a soiled sheet left on the clean mattress . I advise future landlords to think carefully before accepting booking from these guests.
