I moved in 2005 to Koh Samui from Cirencester in the UK. I travelled to Thailand and other countries in this part of the world from 1990. From the places I visited Koh Samui became clearly my favourite destination.
Inspired by the opportunity for business I made the decision to move to Koh Samui and develop a new rental enterprise.
I created my own Flooring business when living in Cirencester. During this time I was also heavily involved in property development and property rental. This became a strong passion of mine, having created a large number of varying style properties in the UK. It was at this time I sought a new challenge and the idea and opportunity of moving to Koh Samui arose.
Since moving to the island I have created 15 properties, of which there are 9 luxury villas for rental, ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms, with their own swimming pools, four with spectacular ocean views, and all with an individual and tropical style. This collection of stunning villas are known as Peacefulvillas.
There have been a great many challenges in developing villas in a vastly different culture and environment in which I was brought up in. The challenges at times have been stressful, demanding and exhausting! The rewards however have far outweighed the challenges and have been able to stretch my creativity and inspiration.
Living on the island and surrounded by the beautiful, tropical nature I don ’t feel the need to be anywhere else. Peacefulvillas keeps me strongly motivated and busy every day, where I enjoy to meet people from all over the world who come to stay, and often return to one of our villas.
I have only returned to Europe twice in 21 years of living on the island. One was for three days in Milan and another for 24hrs in Madrid, both to watch the mighty Spurs play in the Champions League !!!!

It is a peaceful and unspoiled, natural area, in the southern part of the island, where Hideaway Villa is located. Only a 150 mtr walk from the Villa is a small secluded beach, where you can see spot the fishermen go out with their fishing boats to sea. The sea is shallow here at times, and therefore, also ideal for young children.
Hideaway Villa is located in the charming area of Laem Set, where I felt instantly drawn to purchasing land and creating one of my first villas on the island.
There are many varied local Thai restaurants, serving both delicious Thai and Western dishes, and within about a 5 min drive. Within walking distance you have the popular Cool Bar located less than a 5 min walk on local Laem Set beach, and also within a few mins walk is Pole Pole Restaurant.
Lamai, a 10 minute drive by car, has a wonderful expansive beach with a beautiful clear ocean. Here in Lamai one can also experience and enjoy the many varied restaurants, cafes, local shops and nearby attractions. Also, only a 25 minute drive, is the seaside town of Chaweng.

We provide complimentary pick up from your arrival point on the island to take you to Hideaway Villa and a return journey at end of your stay.
Hideaway Villa is an elegant open-plan tropical style Villa, with lovely surrounding wrap around Lotus pond with carp, catfish and turtles. The fish and turtles have become very friendly and accustomed to people, swimming close to the edge of the water for their regular feed - we provide the fish food.
The villa has both Indoor Living area with air conditioning and an open plan Thai/Balinese style Living and Dining area where you can relax in both areas and enjoy the exotic ambiance.
Tropical style Bathroom, imaginatively created, with bath tub, shower and surrounding lush green tropical plants, where you can soak in the bath tub or use the walk in shower at the end of the day.
Located next to the open plan Living area and Bedroom 1 is the lovely salt water swimming pool, surrounded by tropical greenery, and ready for a daily dip in the water.
We can assist you with the hire of a car or moped for your stay. Within a 5 min drive there are good, reputable massage shops, coffee shops, and lovely restaurants. There are also local taxi services available to use, together with a couple of places to eat within a 5 min walk from the villa.
Guests love elegant Hideaway Villa and is very popular, with its exquisite tropical ambiance and location within the charming area of Laem Set.
We have 10 villas for rental in the south of the island. In 2020 we proudly completed luxury, ocean view 2 bedroom Villa Moonstone at Sitara Retreat which can also be rented out as a 1 Bedroom villa, and is the latest design in the collection of Peacefulvillas.
