Brilliant place to spend a relaxing holiday

Upon arrival, we were delighted with the accommodation, all the mod cons you could wish for.

The rooms were laid out well, and we could tell that a lot of thought was given to the tiniest details.

There are two main balconys, one off the lounge and one off the main bedroom which is upstairs. I found out from our neighbour that these balconys had recently been extended to allow for even more outside space.

Looking at those that haven't been extended, we were pleased that we booked this one. WOW, what a difference.

The apartment is about 1 minute from the beach, and just outside the complex is a great beach bar serving the best mojito's we've ever had and a nice selection of food also.

The main square in the town of Los Alcazares is about 30 mins walk, but as its all very flat, we found this great as it helps to walk off the evening meals. Also, for those still thirsty, there are loads of beach bars on the way....

Within the complex is a communal pool, not the biggest we've seen, but plenty big enough for a dip to cool off in the sweltering heat.

We did get a taxi a couple of times, and the security man sorted this out, and it was less then 10 euros, so we thought that was not too bad.

Overall, I would say this apartment and the local area is a real delight, and we will defiantly be returning for a follow up trip.

Better than expected

Pictures never really do a place justice as I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it looked in person. Had a lovely stay, weather was beautiful, the apartment was immaculately clean and the pools in the complex were ideal.

Debra answered all questions we had before booking and was there if we needed her throughout our stay, which was very comforting and I can only thank her for her efficiency.

I have a thing about beds and how comfy beds are and I found the beds very comfortable to lay in. There is also great balcony space, so perfect for candle lit dinners and meals on an evening. The balcony upstairs is IDEAL for those who love to tan!

There are supermarkets local as well as beach huts with snacks / food and drink. There is also a really cool bar by the apartment and we spent a lot of nights there making full use of the very reasonably priced beverages. There is full kitchen supplies in this apartment which is good as I've been to others lacking, so we were able to get food in and cook a few of the nights.

The apartment is situated in a lovely area with lots going on. Food and drink prices are very reasonable with three course meals and drinks costing around €35 in some places. There is also a market that runs on a Friday with fresh fruit, veg and supplies as well as clothes, nik naks and other bits. We stumbled across this on our walk but it is around a 5 minute walk from the apartment when you leave it and turn right.

Bikes are also provided and we took advantage of them!!!

Definitely good for couples / families, couldn't recommend it enough.

Clean affordable lovely

Does what it says on the tin. Very clean, easily accessible and nicely decorated. Restaurants close by are divine and we ended up eating out quite a lot. The beach goes on for miles and there is an incredible bar right by the apartment which has a really great atmosphere. Booked to go back next year as myself and the family thoroughly enjoyed it!

Good size 3 bedroom property on the Mar Menor

First time for us staying at Nueva Rivera, 4 adults & 2 children and we had an enjoyable stay. The apartment is only a few minutes walk from the Mar Menor and The Spinosa beach bar and is also very close to the San Javier airport so easy to transfer by taxi of flying from the local airport. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you would require during your stay, WiFi was included and air conditioning was via a card system with credit included in the price which we were able to make last for the ten day stay in July.

Lovely property in a wonderful location

This is our second visit to this property and it was even better this time due to some alterations made on the balconys giving much more space than before. The layout of the accommodation is very nice and the furnishings had also obviously been looked after. As the property is only 100 yards or so from the beach, this makes you feel extremely relaxed, The main town is about a 30 min walk, but taxis are cheap enough and the local supermarket is only 10 mins walk and an excellent beach bar less than 2 mins from the front door. We will defiantly be back for another visit, and have already started the search for suitable flights . We have definitely fallen in love with the town of Los Alcazares and can't wait to return.

Apartment with defects and malfunctions

The apartment is in the ad described as a luxury apartment of very high standard, which also the rental price reflects - then we expect good quality and good service...

It is possible that we were unfortunate, but there were many factors that pulled down the stay for our part:

The worst thing was that the owner accused us of having caused damage to the oven which was defective upon our arrival. We were drawn for a larger sum for allegedly having broken it. The fact was that we never used it and it was broken upon our arrival. The owner claims the opposite ...

Furthermore, we had twice problems with the aircondition. It was down for three hot nights. The caretaker was present and spent an hour to repair it. Owner claims we were responsible for the error. Result: We had to pay for the caretaker who fixed it.

We were two adults and three children. This resulted in the need to wash clothes during two weeks stay. When this was to be used it was not working. We called the caretaker, but he could not fix it during our stay. Result: Two weeks of hand washing of clothes.

At the conclusion of our contract wifi was included in the rental price. Anyway we were eight days without wifi. This was dimmed by the owner that it was the poor conditions in the whole area, but the person in the neighboring apartment had wifi all the time ...

Moreover, there were large amounts of ants in every room and on both floors in the apartment - it sought especially to food. We even found some 50 ants inside a small backpack we had standing in the living room and its presence was directly disgusting.

The owner has formulated a tightly written long contract which should be read carefully in advance. Our belief is that you risk being held financially liable for the smallest things. We were, for example, pulled in the deposit that it had come a little spot on the sofa. A spot that we not see upon departure.

The owner made a big case out of the spot, but did not say anything about the pillows that was in the sunloungers on the 2nd floor balcony. These were so nasty and full of sweat stains that we had to cover them with carpet before we would sit in them.

Positive things: The building itself and the area is pretty nice with palm trees and had a swimming pool at a distance from the apartment. This was very nice and was used often. Otherwise it was a very good restaurant just off the seafront.

But it's very muddy water in the sea nearby the apartment.

Ein beliebter Touristenort für Sonnenliebhaber mit ca. 325 Sonnentagen im Jahr. Die Weltgesundheitsorganisation meint, dass das Wetter in Murcia eines der gesündesten Klimata und einen der besten Plätze zum Wohnen bietet. Die monatliche Durchschnittstemperatur im Juni, Juli, August und September beträgt über 21°C. Die Temperaturen fallen im Winter nicht unter 10°C. La Mar de Músicas wird immer bekannter als eines der besten Musikfestivals auf der Welt. Das Festival findet im Juli statt und die Hauptbühne ist das Auditorium im Parque Torres, das sich auf einem Hügel befindet von dem aus man den Hafen sehen kann. Die umwerfenden Überreste eines römischen Theaters und einer Stadt. Das internationale Jazzfestival in San Javier findet im Auditorium des Parque Almansa im Juli statt. Es ist eines der wichtigsten Jazzfestivals im Land. Einmalige Jazzmythen wie Chick Corea, B.B. King, The Blues Brothers, Herbie Hancok, George Benson sind hier aufgetreten. Das Stadtzentrum als Fußgängerzone bietet eine gute Mischung aus Einkaufs- und Essmöglichkeiten. Außerdem gibt es viele Supermärkte, Banken und eine Apotheke in einfacher Entfernung für Ihre täglichen Bedürfnisse. Viele Gerüchte über einen großen Vergnügungspark, der in Spanien gebaut werden soll, sind im Internet im Umlauf. Es gibt auch Gerüchte über die große Firma, die eine Niederlassung in Spanien bauen wird. Disney ist einer der Namen, der mit dem Thema in Verbindung gebracht wird. Nur um alles aufzuklären: Disney wird keine neue Niederlassung in Spanien bauen, sondern Paramount Pictures. Der Paramount Themenpark wird auf einem Grundstück von ca. 1,59 Mio. m² gebaut werden, in der Nähe von Alhama de Murcia an der Kreuzung der RM2 und RM23. In Bezug auf genaue Details des Paramount Themenpark werden die Pläne erst in den nächsten Monaten bekannt gegeben, aber eins ist sicher, es wird sicherlich ein guter Grund sein, um Murcia zu besuchen und das Tourismusgeschäft zu fördern.
