Luxurious Villa that exceeded expectations

This property very much surprised us and was the reason we had such an amazing holiday. From the moment we arrived, we were all very impressed and excited about staying in the property. The villa had all the amenities stated and was fancier than we expected - whilst there was 1 or 2 minor damages when we arrived it didn’t affect our stay. The grounds were well maintained, the garden and pool saw the sun all day and was perfect for our group. There were so many areas across the villa where we could socialise and chill out - the pool table and barbecue areas being our favourites. The villa is situated in a beautiful area and for the price is an excellent choice for a holiday. We would definitely recommend to others.

Home is located in an upscale area. Large space for everyone with a beautiful yard and nice pool. Air conditioning kept everyone comfortable. Car or car service is needed where ever you decide to go.

Fabulous property

A great property with plenty of room for 8 adults. The location was not as close to the old town as originally described when we booked but (this has now been corrected) Ubers are very cheap. Quiet location, 10 minute walk to a very good supermarket. Any queries were answered very quickly by the host.

John's Villa

Beautiful Villa, outstanding, approx 2k from the old town but taxis are no problem plentiful and cost about 5 euros, The bedrooms and the living room are all large and have great air-con, a lovely pool loads of outside seating, and 8 sun loungers. If you decide to book this villa I don't think you will be disappointed its fantastic. Thank you John we had a really great time

Value for your money

The property is spacious and gives you great value for your money. It is a bit dated but includes all of the amenities you need. The host communicates all check-in details via email vs the app so be sure to check your junk mail leading up to your visit for important check-in information

Beach Holidays 24

On the day of the arrival, we noted that the property wasn‘t cleaned at all. We had to wash all bed sheets & towels by ourselves for the 1st night. The cleaning team only came on the next day, in the morning. John, our host & the cleaning team appologized for the inconveniencies. Apart from that, the communcation with John was easy & the check-in / check-out process was also easy. The property itslef was great, it had a lot of space & the pool was great. The situation with cleaning team was a missunderstanding, and apart from that I would recommend it.

Perfect for a family holiday

We have just returned from spending a week at Johns villa. This property accommodated the 5 adults and 2, 10 year olds very easily with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The kids loved the swimming pool and the outdoor pool table. There were plenty of outdoor dining areas, which varied from sun to shady throughout the day. The bbq came in very handy also on the night we chose to stay at home. All bedrooms were good sizes with plenty of storage space, all with their own bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and an ample size, as was the livingroom Close by there were a couple of restaurants, our fave was Infante just a 10 mins walk towards the Old Town The Old Town itself is a 30 mins walk, more or less downhill, but there are plenty of taxis that run around the town and cost roughly 6 euros. The main beach has typical activities, pedlos, banana boats etc. The bars and restaurants around the Old Town were varied , family friendly and with good atmospheres. All in all a great place for a family holiday

Nice Villa - see note below however

The Villa is very nice, and we had a lovely holiday, however it was marred by the attitude of the owner. He accused us of damaging pool table accessories on purpose when they were already damaged on our arrival. He became nasty when we thought we were doing the right thing letting him know by email and sending him photographs. He is trying to get another £450 out of us so be aware of this if you use the pool table. Also worth noting, the location of the Villa is a bit misleading as it is not as close to the Old Town as listed. We used Ubers which are not expensive.

Spacious villa - individual bathrooms

Our stay at the villa was overall good. The villa was spacious. We had trouble finding the place as we never received precise instructions or the code for the lockboxes. Thankfully, the owner, John, was very helpful via phone. Despite being spacious, the villa felt somewhat worn out. Cleaning was subpar, especially in the kitchen, which was dirty along with all the cutlery, crockery, pots, and pans. We had to clean these before using them. Two bathrooms had a persistent sewage smell. Some sanitation fixtures seemed old, and one bathtub leaked a bit. While outdated, the equipment was functional. The pool was very dirty and filled with leaves on arrival, making it unappealing. The pool pump struggled due to blocked skimmer baskets and air in the pipes. We cleaned the skimmer baskets ourselves, and after 12-16 hours, it improved. We left hand soap and toilet paper for the next tenants as these were missing when we arrived. We also cleaned the pool and skimmer baskets before leaving so the next tenants could use the pool immediately. John was very helpful. It was great to have a private pool, and the villa was conveniently close to the city. Parking was fine, and outdoor gardening and pool cleaning were done on Monday (we arrived Sunday), which was a pleasant surprise. It would have been better if done before our arrival. We would pay more if the cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, and general equipment were updated. Given the current condition, we felt the villa too pricey.

I understand that you couldn’t find the villa because of your faulty navigator, you explained this when you was on the phone to me and standing outside the villa , I have spoken to VRBO about not being given details about the lock boxes , however they have sent me the evidence of the photos that was sent to you prior to your trip , we cannot be held liable that you do not check your emails , thanks for the update on pots and pans , this will be addressed. The smell of sewage isn’t something that we are familiar with , this will be looked into by our maintenance company asap The Garden as is the pool checked and maintained weekly, you should not interfere with any of the baskets to the skimmer, they are there to catch debris and yes there will be leaves ect in them that is the purpose. We will now have to check that you have not let anything go into the pump because you may have removed them while the pump was running , the pool had a Brand new salt water system installed just last year it’s impossible for you to know about any blocked pipes because they are all underground. While I appreciate you may feel the house is dated , it is a Portuguese style decor and design , we like the foreign feel of our villa and wouldn’t change it for the world. Thanks for your comments.

Stammtischtour

Wir haben die Villa mit sieben Personen gebucht. Kontakt zum Vermieter war unkompliziert. Die Villa hat große Zimmer und es ist alles vor Ort was man benötigt. Der Pool mit ausreichend vorhanden Liegen wurde gut genutzt. Die Lage war für unsere Bedürfnisse in Ordnung. Wer nicht gerne laufen möchte oder kann ist bestellt sind Uber, kann man empfehlen. Großer Supermarkt 10 min. fußläufig. Insgesamt war Albufeira die Reise wert, besonders wenn man auch ein bisschen feiern möchte. Die Unterkunft kann man auf jedenfall empfehlen.

Super schöne Villa! Wir waren sieben Jungs die sich auf einen schönen Urlaub (Party/Entspannen) gefreut haben. Villa war einwandfrei, einzig die Lage war nicht wie anfangs beschrieben. Zum Strip zu Fuß um die 20-30 Minuten. Aber dank Uber natürlich heimwärts kein Problem! ;)

Excellent stay

We go to Portugal every year and had a great stay at the property. Very large lots of space. The location is not as listed but further away but in a lovely neighbourhood. Very enjoyable.

Great Family Holiday

This villa exceeded our expectations. So much space that the 6 of us never felt crowded. The gardens are lovely and the pool and BBQ just perfect. A lovely peaceful location. All the rooms have their own balcony with a sea view, an added bonus. Aldi and Lidl a 25 min walk but great for stocking up. It lacks nothing. Thank you so much.

Lovely villa holiday with friends

We stayed for 4 nights a group of 7 friends. The villa was perfect it had everything we needed to self cater and plenty of room inside & out. ALDI is a 20 minute walk away & we got a taxi back so no need to hire a car. The exact location is slightly further out than it shows but it’s in a lovely residential area with other villas. Communication with John was very easy & he replied promptly. We will definitely return in the future

Rose and I were born in north london, just a few miles apart, we now live in Hertfordshire. We were married quite young, now two kids and a life time later we have a lovely happy family. We are great gran parents, and have 8 grand children, well, all are not children anymore, and between them they keep everone very busy.

We began to think about a retirment home, after looking around Portugal we decided to purchased our property in Albufeira, because we concidered Albufeira has something for all ages, and the villa is situated in such a nice quiet area with cobble stone road and within walking distance to the supermarket, fruit & fishmarket, banks, hotels, well, just about everthing, its great. We also have great, English, Irish, American, and Portugeses neighbours, who could ask for more. Some day when the tiiming is right we hope to retire to our lovely villa, in the meantime we are happy to share our beautiful villa with joyfull holiday makers, who look after the villa as if it was their own, and are always pleased to supply feed back on how they enjoyed the villa and the many surrounding facilities.

The villa is situated in a sought after location within easy reach of miles of beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches, resturants, bars & shops by the dozen, you realy are spoilt for choice, also, The Strip, and The Old Town with the famours Fishermans Beach, are all within walking distance from the villa, as are the supermarkets, banks, shopping mall, fishmarket, fruit market, taxis in abundance, the lot. If you play golf you are spoilt for choice of many famours golf courses, or you may just wish to relax around the villas private pool, ideal for children, and all the family, including, like ourselves, grandma and grandpa. The villa is lovely, bright and relaxing, and the 4 double bedrooms all have there own air-condition units, sun terrace with sea views, en-suite bathrooms with Jacuzzi.
