Wonderful cottage, very cosy. We had a very relaxing stay. The cottage is fully equipped with a well stocked kitchen. The wood fired stove and reverse cycle heater meant we were always warm and toasty. Idyllic location with adorable animals and a picturesque brook.

Platypus Paradise

Hosts were so welcoming and it was amazing to stay at this beautiful farmstead amongst the animals and so close to the creek which has a resident platypus. So relaxing and good access for day trips to this amazing part of Tasmania.

Beyond Expectations

My son and I absolutely loved this place. It's the first time I've stayed at a place that felt like a home. No hesitation in saying i will be back. You both are amazing people.

We enjoyed our short stay at Kymmik Cottage very much! The host couple was super welcoming and warm and explained everything perfectly. The cottage was clean and cosy. It was lovely to be given fresh eggs, milk and freshly baked bread carrots for the animals! We loved getting greeted by the donkeys in the morning. All the animals around the house and of course the beautiful kept garden and creek made our stay so special. We could have easily stayed longer! Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely cottage, we can't recommend this place highly enough and hope to be back sometime soon. All the best, Petra, Susanne and Nina (Sydney)

Delightful and comfortable

Kym and Kim and all the animals were so welcoming. The cottage was really inviting and cosy with plenty of room and everything we needed to be comfortable . The setting was just delightful with the creek and hills, the garden and forest. We absolutely loved the platypus and all the animals. Our 14 year old daughter thought she was in paradise. Perfect for a quiet family holiday. We also appreciated the close vicinity to Hartz mountains and Geeveston sushi.

Geeveston Paradise

The cottage was really well appointed with everything we needed. A welcome loaf of home cooked bread and the fire ready to go were lovely to arrive to. The animals around the property were gorgeous and you have a great chance of seeing a platypus in the wild. The owners were great and nothing was too much trouble. We all loved our visit and would return in a heartbeat.

Hidden Gem, family farm stay

Incredible place to stay

We cannot recommend this place highly enough; beautiful location, beautiful house and beautiful, beautiful hosts! My husband and our two kids (15 months and 3.5 years) stayed here for four nights and we had a BALL! It was more than we expected as it was idyllic, peaceful, quaint, modern, homely, fun, picturesque, quiet, comfortable and it was just PERFECT. The animals were amazing and our kids were besotted with them! The house was immaculate and all the furnishings were of the utmost quality. It was beautiful to sleep in such a lovely bed. The amenities are excellent and we could even watch a movie on Netflix! Kim and Kym were such wonderful hosts - they were so welcoming and kind and helpful and we were so grateful. We will have to come back next year - just exquisite. Thank you for making our holiday perfect. (Although our 3 year old is currently wailing about missing Donkey and Gozo!) ❤️❤️

Highlight of southern Tasmania

A new cottage close to Geeveston, wonderfully well set up, exactly as described online. Kym and Kim are charming and considerate hosts. With an array of enjoyable farm animals. Very highly recommended.
