Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach einem erholsamen Kurzurlaub in den Bergen mit herrlicher Aussicht auf einer asphaltierten Straße sind, auf der Sie Unterhaltung, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten finden, sind Sie hier genau richtig! Wir befinden uns am Appalachian Ski Mountain, zwischen Boone und Blowing Rock, 1,3 Meilen von den Pisten im Appalachian Ski Resort und 1,8 Meilen vom Blue Ridge Parkway entfernt. Dieses Berghäuschen ist in 2 Mieteinheiten mit jeweils separaten Außeneingängen unterteilt. Diese Auflistung ist für "Ruhe", die größere der 2 Einheiten. Wenn Sie mit Freunden oder einer größeren Familie Urlaub machen und mehr Platz benötigen, ist unser kleineres Gerät "Serenity" mit der Nummer 676463 ebenfalls erhältlich.

"Ruhe" bietet schöne Fernsicht auf die Berge von den Hauptwohnbereichen und der überdachten Terrasse. Es ist mit zentraler Heizung / Luft ausgestattet, ist voll möbliert und verfügt über eine gut ausgestattete Küche, ein separates Esszimmer mit Platz für 6 Personen, ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer mit einem Steinkamin mit Gasblöcken und eine große (50-55 ”) Wohnung Bildschirm TV. Das Haus ist ungefähr 1800 sq. Ft. Und ist ein 2-stöckiges 2 Schlafzimmer 2. 5 Bad (wird 6 in Betten und 8 mit der Verwendung von 2 ausziehbaren Sofas schlafen). Die Küche, das Wohnzimmer, das Esszimmer, das Gäste-WC und ein Schlafzimmer befinden sich im Erdgeschoss. Dieses Schlafzimmer ist mit einem Kingsize-Bett, einem Flachbild-TV mit NetFlix und einem angrenzenden Bad mit einer Badewannen- / Duschkombination ausgestattet. Das Wohnzimmer mit Blick auf die Berge und die Terrasse verfügt über ein Queensize-Ausziehsofa. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich das Hauptschlafzimmer, ein großes Familien- / Spielzimmer und ein Hauswirtschaftsraum. Das Hauptschlafzimmer bietet Bergblick, ist mit einem Kingsize-Bett und einem Flachbildfernseher mit NetFlix ausgestattet und verfügt über ein angeschlossenes Hauptbad mit einer Gartenbadewanne im Whirlpool-Stil und einer separaten Dusche. Vor dem Master befindet sich ein großes Familienzimmer / Spielzimmer mit Bergblick und Terrasse. Es ist mit 2 besonders langen Einzelbetten und einem Queensize-Ausziehsofa ausgestattet. Es gibt einen asphaltierten Zugang und Parkplätze für maximal 2 Autos. Sorry, nicht rauchen, keine Haustiere.

Great Place to Stay

This unit was perfect for us. It was the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Keurig coffee maker didn’t work which was a pain but other than that the unit was perfect for us.

I don't know what went wrong, but I'm guessing you might not have known that this model has a power button on the back. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise.

Great spot in Blowing Rock

We stayed here with our two small children (4 and 9mos) for an extended family Thanksgiving vacation. Our extended family stayed up on Ski Mountain, and we stayed in Deer Ridge to have our own spot for the kids. It was perfect, the host was clear and communicative, check-in was quick and easy. We brought our own pack and play for the baby, but otherwise this place had everything we needed. Our 4YO loved the downstairs gameroom/den - he slept in there and it was like having 3 bedrooms b/c of the beds in that room. It was plenty of room for the 4 of us to have our own spaces and keep the kids on their nap and bedtime routines. The condo was nicely stocked and clean. Gorgeous views off the balcony and was perfect for what we needed. It was close enough to town to be able to get essentials, see some sights and keep the kids entertained, but also close enough to the mountain to feel like a retreat. We loved it!

Nice Unit close to everything!

We really enjoyed staying at the Deer Ridge cottage to see the leaves changing! It is close to downtown Blowing Rock, the entrance to the Parkway, Appalachian Ski Mountain, and other attractions. The layout is perfect, and all necessary amenities provided. Will stay again!

Super location for skiing at Appalachian Ski Mountain

I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to spend some time skiing at Appalachian. The information on the website said it was nearby, and they weren't kidding. We just drove out the driveway, turned right, and were there in minutes. The rental itself was very spacious. Two bedrooms, plus the twin beds in the open family room in the basement, gave us all plenty of space to spread out and have some privacy. We visited with a family of four, but I also think this would be ideal for a couple traveling with young children and grandparents, as the young couple and their children could have the downstairs and the grandparents have the upstairs. It's also a prime location for visiting Tweetsie!

Mountain Retreat I Don't Want to Tell you About

I don't want to tell you about it because I want to keep it to myself! The pictures do not do the beauty of this property justice! It was better than we could have expected. The beds were comfortable, it was quiet, spacious, clean, and had the best views. Everything was very easy. It was also easy to keep clean and had everything in the kitchen one could need. When we head back up to the Boone/Grandfather mountain areas, I will definitely be checking to see if this one is available!

Magnificent View and so close to skiing you could practically walk.

We were so pleased that the snow plow came and kept the roads clear for driving, even during the Orlena Winter storm. I left some bird seed and saw lots of animal tracks below the deck. Loved the two separate living areas and so did my 17 and 22 yr. old. Sound proofing is a bit of an issue. We did get one of the fireplaces working briefly so that might neet to be looked at but we were plenty warm in the cold temperatures. The Kuerig and regular coffee makers need to be replaced. We made due with the coffee maker, but the basket is missing as well as the lid to the pot. We enjoyed Tubing not far away. The grocery store is really close and we bought too much, and ended up taking some home. We really enjoyed the games and extras. We would stay there again.

It has a thermostat that shuts it off if it gets too warm, so to run it for ambiance, it needs to be set on low. We will update the usage instructions so that people are aware of this. Great location and views

Our family of four stayed 2 nights in early August. Never been to Blowing Rock before and enjoyed our trip. Location was super-convenient to the Blue Ridge Pkwy only about 3-5 minutes drive and easy to get to the towns of Blowing Rock and Boone. Views from the living room and deck were great. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook meals (we ate all of our meals in due to Covid) but recommend leaving a few spices/seasonings available for guest use. Internet worked well. There is another rental unit attached above this unit, however, the couple there during our stay were quiet so no issues with noise. There are two bedrooms with king beds and ensuite bathrooms. The nicer master bedroom with the mountain view and larger bathroom is downstairs and there are two twin beds in the downstairs living area. Our two adult sons stayed downstairs and my husband and I stayed in the upstairs smaller bedroom on the same level as the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Communication with Brenda was brief but good. We enjoyed the views and would stay here again!

Pleasant stay in the mountains

We had an easy check in and entering the property we could see an awesome view of the mountains made even better by access to the deck. The cleanliness was excellent and the appliances were in good working order. There were numerous movies, games and a mini foosball table available for entertainment. There were only a few small items that could have been better but they're pretty normal for a rental. One of which was making chairs available on the lower deck.

Awesome weekend getaway

We had a great time in the mountains. This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. Spectacular views and great location. Brenda was super sweet and recommended us some great restaurants. Perfect location

We have rented here for the second time now, we enjoy the location so much, so convenient, we come to Blowing Rock to go watch our daughter in the band at App State football games in Boone, we like being away from the crowded area in Boone to feel like we are getting away. I just wish we had more time to enjoy our stay here. Another thing we just love is hearing the sounds of Tweetsie nearby and seeing the smoke down the valley from the train. Perfect spot!

My family loved staying in this home. Large family areas, great location, amazing view. Clean house and plenty of space and beds. This house is great for a large family on vacation or just a large group visiting. We will definitely be going back.

Amazing Mountain Getaway

We stayed with our kids and parents from both sides and it was wonderful! Plenty of room for everyone, and the kids were able to run around and play with the foosball table downstairs. There are decks on both levels with amazing views of the valley down below. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything from plates and cups to a Keurig. The garden tub in the master bathroom is a great way to relax after a fun day exploring. Owners' restaurant recommendations were excellent. By the end of the trip our 3 year old daughter was pretending to take our orders! Blowing Rock ten minutes to the south offers small town charm with quaint shops, while Boone ten minutes to the north offers all the traditional national chains and conveniences. The condo is also less than a mile from a nice beginner's level ski slope. The Tweetsie Railroad runs through the forest down below and you can see the smoke rise above the trees in the distance. Grandfather Mountain is only a short drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway and offers amazing views accessible to everyone. You can drive to the top of the mountain and they even have an elevator to take you the rest of the way up to the mile high swinging bridge. For older guests with disabilities there is a bedroom on the main floor and a comfy recliner for those who need to sleep upright. Great customer service, too. Our only issue was resolved in less than 24 hours. We will definitely be coming back and will recommend this to all our friends.

After spending a few summers vacationing in Blowing Rock, my parents-in-law liked the area so much, they purchased a condo here in 2001 as their summer home. It became a tradition for our family to come visit them each summer and we have many happy memories here. So last year, when this property came on the market, we decided to buy it and continue the tradition. This is the first time it has been offered on VRBO. If you decide to rent from us, we hope your family loves it here as much as ours has!
