Das historische Bauernhaus bietet einen ruhigen Landausflug perfekt für Familie und Freunde. Sie können eine echte Farmumgebung mit Hühnern, Schafen, Ziegen, Lamas und vielem mehr erleben! Eine riesige überdachte Veranda bietet einen Blick auf Scheunen, 3 Hektar Weiden, den privaten Fischteich und den wunderschönen Mohikanerwald. Innen gibt es ein Kingsize-Bett im Schlafzimmer im 1. Hauptgeschoss, 2 Queensize-Betten, ein Doppelbett und 2 Einzelbetten in 3 Schlafzimmern im Obergeschoss. Eine optionale Hütte dient als 5. Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett und Schlafsofa. Es gibt zwei Badezimmer, eine große Küche, die mit allem ausgestattet ist, was man zu Hause finden kann, ein Esszimmer mit einem Bauerntisch für 8 Personen und einen riesigen Lederbereich im Wohnzimmer mit Blick auf einen Gaskamin mit einem 50-Zoll-Fernseher im Mantel . Ein rustikaler runder Tisch bietet Platz für 6-8 Personen und ist der perfekte Ort für ein Kartenspiel beim Fernsehen. Eine große abgeschirmte Veranda führt zu einem Achterdeck, das mit Lamas über die Weiden blickt. Trails startet im Hinterhof des Bauernhauses und wird Sie durch Meilen von dem schönen Mohikaner Wald nehmen und sogar in den State Park wo es eine überdachte Brücke, schöne Aussichts und natürlichen Wasserfälle. Nähe finden Sie Kanu Bemalungen, Reiten, zip-Futter, Malabar Farm, Schnee Skigebiet, Pontoonboot Rentals at Pleasant Lake und Amish Country-Shopping und Essen.

We LOVED our stay at the farmhouse. My 2 year old had so much fun waking up to the roosters. We loved getting to feed the animals. The location was wonderful and so peaceful, yet close to all of the Mohican activities. Would definitely recommend. No complaints whatsoever.

Friendly and fun

This property was a nice relaxing place to stay. We didn't fill the entire home, but i could see how a larger group could easily fit and have a great time there. There were ample seating spots, places to hide out if you had too much, large yard for games and everything i needed to cook for the family. The host was responsive and helpful. Ash, the cat, followed us on our hike through the woods. We are planning on returning for sure.

It was a good experience for all of us, in beautiful surroundings. The animals were so friendly and the host always got back to us in a timely manner with any questions we had. The only complaint that we have is that cleanliness of the screened in porch could’ve been better. Maybe deep cleaning on the furniture cushions or get new ones.

Love the farmhouse!

Our family of 12, 6 kids and 6 adults, had another wonderful stay at the farmhouse! The kids love the animals and we enjoyed fishing at the pond. The house is well equipped, clean and has so many nice touches. We had a warm campfire and did some star gazing. Big backyard sufficient to set up a soccer net or other yard games. Wonderful memories made!

Fun getaway!

Beautiful property to relax and unwind. The kids loved all of the animals on site and spent as much time as they could outside. Close to Mohican and just a short drive to Amish country! Owner was very responsive and prompt. No complaints at all!

Cozy Winter Family Getaway

Comfortable and cozy home, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable seating and beds, and the first VRBO I have rented for which I didn’t say, “I wish they had a______.” The owners have thought about most everything a guest may need that a host can reasonably provide. And the animals are a special treat. My granddaughters and really, all my adult children as well, enjoyed feeding them and watching their antIt’s as they jockeyed for the best positions to get at the food provided by the owners. An important note: there are barn cats that hang out on the porch but they do not go in the house and my allergic kiddos didn’t have any trouble in the house. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and large sectional sofa where we all could fit and sitting around the large farm table together for meals. The owners even welcomed our dog! I highly recommend this lovely home.

Family Gathering at the Restored Farmhouse!

Our family gathered and stayed in the Restored Farmhouse mid November. The property was beautiful! We enjoyed feeding, petting and watching all the animals living on the farm. Several people in our group enjoyed fishing in the small pond. We brought our own firewood and spent the chilly afternoon around the fire pit - lots of s'mores and laughs! The kitchen was well appointed and had all of the things we needed to prepare and enjoy meals together. There were plenty of kitchen and bath towels available, and the beds were pretty comfortable. We were able to use our personal streaming accounts to watch college football games and boxing on the large television in the family room too. Our family was able to relax and enjoy our time together at this property! A few important things to note: We arrived after dark, coming from the east side of the county. We did not have a house number, and did have some trouble finding the property. Inside the house, beware of the steep steps going upstairs. There are trip hazards at the top of the steps too. Maybe most importantly to note, we were unaware that the upstairs bedrooms were all semi-private as you have to move through the connected bedrooms to use the bathroom and to go downstairs. Before arriving, we were also not aware there was an extra up-charge to use the cottage bedroom on property. Overall, we enjoyed this property and made great memories there as a family. Thanks for a great stay!

Relaxing Get-A-Way with Farm Animals and Firepit

My family loved our long weekend visit. We enjoyed peaceful starry nights around the firepit, several activities at or near Mohican State Park (apple picking, hiking, horseback riding) and the hours of entertainment from the farm animals and outdoor cats. The teens and their friends hung outside feeding and playing with the animals. It was also beneficial to have a full-sized kitchen with all the amenities to prepare & serve meals and comfortable living areas to relax at our leisure. It was a much needed respite for our family and I would absolute return.

A Wonderful Getaway at a Charming Farmhouse

Our recent stay at this farmhouse was a delightful experience. The house was spotlessly clean and offered more than enough space for our group. One of the highlights was feeding the various animals on the property, which was a fun and engaging activity for everyone. We LOVED the cats! We also enjoyed a cozy fire on a chilly evening, adding a perfect touch to our stay. The sunroom was our favorite spot—it became the heart of our mornings where we sipped coffee, caught up with each other, and enjoyed the gentle sounds of the waking farm animals. The cottage itself was quaint and full of character, making it a true home away from home. We took advantage of the beautiful surroundings with a 7-mile kayak trip, which was both exhilarating and peaceful. Dinner at a local restaurant was a treat, and we also found plenty of charming shops in town to explore. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable retreat!
