The Chase Family has long been connected with Mount Desert Island. "Mimi" Chase, the deceased matriarch of the Chase Family, and her husband Robert Woodward, 50 years ago first arrived in Maine from Florham Park, NJ to homestead and stake their roots on Green Lake in Ellsworth Maine. Eventually they purchased a summer cottage on Green Lake's shore edge where they opened their home to their three children and 7 grandchildren to learn to swim, kayak, fish, build a camp fire, hike and explore Acadia National Park. And just as importantly, to learn to relax with family and friends and to form everlasting memories. Bart, Mimi's youngest son, and his wife Ann and four adult children , from Summit, NJ, are owners of ChaseHouse vacation home properties. Bart and Ann and their four children and two black Labrador Retrievers Bhodi and Woogie are adventurous nature loving outdoors people who enjoy extended and short stays throughout the seasons at their homes in Maine to explore the granite Atlantic coast and Acadia Park trails. On any given day the Chase Family, their friends, and invited guests are likely biking, hiking, boating, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, or simply wandering on a new uncharted adventure out and about in Acadia Park, at Green Lake, Schoodic, or elsewhere . If they are not in Acadia Park exploring, they are likely playing bocci ball at the Lompac in Bar Harbor, watching a movie at Reel Pizza, or chill-laxing on the Shore Path dangling their feet over a granite cliff overlooking Frenchman's bay, or lounging on the hammock with Cadillac Mountain in eye sight. The Chase Family is pleased to welcome guests to lodge in one of ChaseHouse's vacation rental properties to explore Mount Desert Island, and Acadia National Park and to experience the many attractions, natural delights, and scenic, relaxing beauty that the Island offers.
