Hope to stay again

Been coming to the Kuleana Resort for over 10yrs and this was our first opportunity to stay in this unit. Location was amazing and condo was super clean. Even got to rent their adjoining unit next door for my sisters’ family, so it couldn’t have worked out better. Would 1000% stay here again. Thanks for everything!

A little piece of heaven!!

The location is perfect, the beach is right out your doorstep. Even though I was there a short time, saw several rainbows, the grounds are immaculately maintained, so many stars at night, turtles in the waters, close to good restaurants. Edwin the property manager was extremely nice. I had a minor issue and the owner, Kathy, called me right away and resolved it immediately. Without a doubt I would stay there again!

Tiny but mighty

Comfortable for our family of 4. Steps from the ocean and the swimming pool. Property is kept up nicely. Community BBQ's are cleaned daily. Beach in pictures must be seasonal because it was rocky while we were there but other nice beaches were a short drive away. ABC store is just down the road and it was an easy drive to Front St in Lahaina with lots of shops and restaurants. Owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. Lawn chairs, cooler, beach umbrella, boogie board were available to use. Kitchen is small but had everything we needed. Loved being on the bottom floor to be able to walk right outside.

Memorial visit

1st I’ll start with the good. Great location lots of stuff to do in the area and convenient to restaurants, shopping and beaches. The condo itself being a corner unit had great views and was right next to bbqs and stairs to go down to see turtles. This was also a negative due to the amount of foot traffic constantly passing our lanai. Kathy was kind enough to let us check in early, which we really appreciated., Now for the negatives. The people are rude! During our 1 week stay we had FOUR notes left on our car. The 1st for not displaying our parking pass (which took 3 visits to the security office to obtain) which was clearly on our dash, 2 for parking on the line in stead of between them (both times because the car next to us was on or over the line when we came home at night). The 3rd was a personal note claiming we clearly didn’t know how to park and were inconsiderate. Our 1st visit to the pool an older man doing his morning water exercises yelled at a lady to turn off her radio, she apologized and said she was on hold with the airline. We thought the womens husband and the man were gong to come to blows and they were in their 70s! On another occasion we had some relatives meet us by the pool. We got the stink eye the whole time for having conversation and laughing. The 10th of many rules at the pool should have been “no fun allowed”. The condo itself was very tired, lighting was atrocious (please change bulbs in living room to something other than fluorescent white), no coffee filters and not a sharp knife in place despite having a ton of utensils. If you are a small couple. In your 70’s, driving a small car and want to be able to hear a pin drop your entire visit this is the place for you. We’ve been visiting family here for 40 years and I can honestly say we’ve never been treated more poorly 😕

Birthday trip

The view was phenomenal. There is a beach 10 feet, if that, from the lanai and it is like a haven for sea turtles. The first morning I awoke and sat on the lanai I got to watch a whale and dolphins. What a beautiful sight and an amazing birthday trip for my perfect husband.

Waves, Surf and Peace

We loved the feeling of complete peace and quiet as you take in the vast ocean crashing before you. It is a beautiful oasis in West Maui with the best salt water Olympic sized pool on the west side. BBQs were right there and we enjoyed our morning walks to the Bad Ass Coffee Company.

Truly a Paradise Found! Our favorite place on Maui is Kuleana unit #408 was outstanding. All the amenities you need for an inclusive stay. King bed, AC, ocean front, wave view from inside, and turtles directly below to view. We even saw whales this trip! This Resort is lovely and quiet. Full sized heated swimming pool and BBQ's right outside. We will come again!

Waterfront Paradise

We spent 10 wonderful and relaxing days at Kuleana Resort. The property is very well maintained with beautiful gardens, a large pool, and BBQs cleaned daily. The ocean view from the condo is absolutely breathtaking and you can hear the sound of the waves while relaxing in the living room. The condo had everything we needed, including plenty of towels, bedding and kitchen supplies. We really appreciated being able to borrow a cooler, chairs, and sun umbrella for full days at the beach. We saw turtles swimming in front of the property and especially enjoyed the evening sunsets and tiki torches lit all around the perimeter. Kathy is an excellent host. She provided very clear directions and check-in instructions, along with lots of tips on where to eat and shop. She also checked in on us to make sure we arrived ok, helped us try to locate a pair of “lost” sunglasses (which were later found) and allowed us to check out late to accommodate our flight schedule. Thank you Kathy and Jim for sharing your wonderful vacation home with us!

Steps From The Ocean

The view pictures do not do it justice. By far the best unit in the complex. Next to the steps to the ocean, bbq grill and ocean. Unit has everything you would need and then some. It did get hot in the living room by night and it was challenging to cool down but the fans helped.

Perfect Maui Visit

This property was perfection! It could not have been in a more beautiful location. We adored the private beach and the condo's location opening right onto the lawn adjacent to the beach. We saw turtles every single day we were there! And the snorkeling was excellent. So many sea creatures! We also loved the west facing location for gorgeous sunsets at night. The condo had everything we needed for our family of four (two adults and two teens). We cooked and ate almost all of our evening meals on the lanai. I was grateful for the coolers, beach chairs, and beach towels that were provided. The cooler was handy for packing lunches and drinks for our adventures away from the condo. The check in process was easy and we were grateful for an early check in time. We will definitely return to Kuleana next time we are on Maui.

Amazing location

The only bummer about the property is regarding the ladder that leads you to snorkel with turtles. There was no ladder, and the coast line is too rocky to snorkel right there. I recommend the listing is updated to remove the ladder picture and selling point. That said, just swim into the ocean off the beach, and you'll get your snorkel with turtles fix.

Great Condo!

We stayed here with our two little boys and loved it. The location is wonderful and the space has everything you need to enjoy yourself. We were able to beach hop using the sand toys, chairs, and provided towels. We used the pool a few times and saw many people enjoy the barbeques right outside. We even saw a few turtles on the beach below! The resort was quiet and beautifully landscaped. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone!

A dream!

We can't say enough about this place. It is so beautiful and I couldn't stop looking at the ocean right from the patio. We saw turtles on the private beach and snorkeled. The landscaping was gorgeous. We could't get in at first but someone let us in the gate, but after that no problems. I would suggest a couple more beach towels. (only 2 and we had 4 of us) But it also gave me an excuse to buy a pretty flowered one. We had a flight change and our lovely hosts let us stay later then check out so we would have a place until our flight. That was very sweet. I would recommend this place over and over again.
