Nice facility. Awesome pools. Good location. Owner was very easy to work with and very responsive. Only issue is with parking. The visitor lots were always full and hard to find a space for our second vehicle.

Check in nightmare

Never received the welcome email a week before arrival. That caused a lot of confusion. Arrived in Bethany at 4:00. Didn’t get into condo till 7:30

Hi Barb. I am surprised with your review. Check in was only difficult because you were unable to log into your VRBO account. From the moment I was made aware of your problem I stayed on the phone with you and was in the process of driving to meet you to help. Thankfully you had other family members show up and they were able to reset your password for you. Once you had access to your VRBO account you and your party were able to check in. I have confirmation that VRBO sent you the access instructions on July 6th. I also messaged you on June 29th to make sure you had received and read the check in instructions but you did not reply. I am sorry your experience with checking in affected your overall vacation. I’m glad the condo itself was ready for you and when I checked in with you during the week you didnt have any issues.

Very comfortable

We had 8 adults (all family) staying. A tight squeeze but we preferred to stay together rather than split into 2 units and we made it work. The place had plenty of dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. We were able to eat all meals together without any problems. Some reviewers commented about the variation in temperature throughout the unit but we used the provided fans to help with circulation and everyone was comfortable. The only negative thing was the fault of the neighbor’s screen door which was loose and did not stay closed. The door banged on our dining room window all day and night whenever the neighbors came and went and whenever the wind blew. If I had a screwdriver, I might have taken the neighbor’s door down myself. Otherwise the place was great. Good location. Can catch the tram right outside. The reserved parking spot was also right next to the entrance of the building so easy to unload and load the car. We could also use our car to store our beach chairs at the end of the day. We hope to stay here again.

Spacious condo.

We just stayed here at the beginning of August. Pros: Parking spot right next to the lobby. Condo is spacious and airy with the high ceiling. Property manager was easy to communicate with. Pretty and updated. Cons: Not enough comfy seating if you have more than 4 adult sized people. Light bulbs were out and dishwasher was full of dirty dishes when we arrived. Not a huge deal but unexpected for an expensive rental! The AC does not work well. It cools down the shared space but all the bedrooms and the loft were too hot. The place was musty or moldy, my daughter and I woke up with allergy symptoms every morning. Keurig coffee machine doesn’t work well. Sometimes it cooperates. Many times not! I hate to leave a less than stellar review but at the current rates of rentals, I expect a bit more.

Great location. You spend at that money to get to the beach and other places you need to show proof that your staying there. Not once did any one check our I ID. The place was not clean at all. I had to clean it before taking things in. But it was okay

Great weekend

The place was very comfortable and pleasant. It was just what we needed to relax for a bit. My only concern was that, although, it was very nice to be able to check in after the realtor office closed on Friday, we went to officially check in Saturday, leaving Sunday on off season when most activities were not open, and I had to pay $48 for parking and activity passes. That was not clear to me in the agreement so I would simply suggest clearer communication in that regard.

Loved location and amenities

Sea Colony is a busy place but still peaceful. Can't beat the pool and the ocean. This rental is perfect for 4 adults and kids. We had eight adults and a toddler and it was tight. But that's on me. Kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely return with a smaller group.

Amazing getaway for an off season weekend but the information needs to be updated

We absolutely loved our getaway but the condo association and owners had mixed messages regarding parking. When we checked in, we were charged for a 4th parking pass and tags for the use of the amenities at the apartment. We asked where the remaining people will be parking and were told they could park in the town of Bethany. When we went to the condo itself, the parking spot for the condo itself was blocked by a trailer with a blown out tire. When we went back to ask what could be done we were told “oh just park anywhere” and that the reserved spots didn’t mean anything now. We asked why we could not have our party all park on the property and were told we could only have the 4 passes. When we called security, they told us the same thing. However, the owner told us it was free parking. If you are going on the off season and have more than 4 cars, just confirm with the owner/property before you arrive. The internet is spotty. We had several people who needed to work while they were there and there was quite a number of times when they were kicked off. Everyone ended up using their phones as hotspots to finish meetings. However, it does sound like the building is getting an update to the internet so hopefully that will not be an issue anymore! The view is absolutely incredible. The master bedroom is PERFECT. The loft does get VERY warm. The owners are absolutely wonderful. We only wish the property management was better/on the same page. If you are looking for a clean space and a great view to sip your coffee while watching the sunrise, highly recommend this condo!

The Penthouse

Loved staying at the Penthouse! Beautiful view, perfect amount of space for our group of 6 adults. Elevator was never a problem. Everyone at the resort was respectful, wore masks and followed social distancing recommendations. Awesome vacation!

Week at the Beach

My family and I had a great week at the beach at this lovely property. The upstairs bedroom was such a great feature and the view was perfect. The unit was very well appointed and close to everything. Great vacation!

Great overall experience.

The condo had plenty of room for the 7 of us. Beds were very comfortable. TVs in all bedroom great. Loft area can only be utilized by folks able to clumb those types of steps and everything below it and from it can be heard by all since it is an open loft. Not a problem for us. Nice kitchen applicances. Ocean view outstanding. Two observations, the big ceiling fan in living room really needed to be cleaned, and we didn't see any recycle bins on the property. Overall we had a time at the beach and the condo was a excellent choice.

Nice but disappointed

The place was nice but not very clean-especially the kitchen area. There was a $40 per person recreational fee we weren’t expecting. It was not listed on the charges but hidden on the very last line of contract which we did not see. For a family of 8 that was an additional $320.
