Norm and Larry were wonderful guests. Any VRBO host would love to have people like them stay in their place. Respectful, clean, orderly and they left our place just like they found it. When we connected they were charming and pleasant. It was fun seeing them enjoy the Woodstock region. We wish them well, and a safe trip home. Dawn and Larry are very welcome to return.

Love this space

I spend a lot of time staying in different places in Woodstock and this is one of my favorites. Clean, beautiful view, and close to town.

Relax and renew

Beautifully appointed, immaculate apartment. Great forest and garden views, walking distance to Woodstock Playhouse, restaurants and village, close to hiking, monastery and places of interest. A delightful place to stay.

My stay at this place was quiet and restful. The place was wonderfully appointed and had great natural light. Sam as the host was attentive. Will return if I am in Woodstock again.

Lovely apartment in Woodstock

We had a very pleasant stay for two months. I started everyday with coffee and sitting on the balcony enjoying the view. Bed is so comfortable we slept deeply every night. Location is great for getting into town or out of town for sight seeing. Excellent kitchen and bathroom.

Great place to unwind

After a very hectic several months this was a great place to just be off by myself and relax for a long weekend. Sam and Cathy were wonderful hosts and I had everything I needed. I discovered a problem with the Internet connection that they did not know about but Sam got it fixed as soon as it could be and I was good to go. I would highly recommend this place if you are wanting to stay in the area.

Carol was a wonderful guest. Took good care of our place and was very pleasant. The internet went out because a service tech made an error in the building next door. I was able to switch the wifi and then restore the service back completely. All the while Carol was great, considerate and understanding. I offered her the opportunity to stay another day or two at no charge. Carol said that that wasn’t necessary. Any VRBO host would be happy to have a guest like Carol.

Perfect rental experience

My boyfriend and I stayed for 5 nights at this beautiful property. Everything was very clean well maintained. Sam and Cathy were great hosts! They were very helpful getting us acquainted with the property and gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations. The property had everything we could have needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with essentials(salt pepper oil trashbags etc). It was also centrally located for great access to all the catskills area has to offer. We had no complaints. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to the Woodstock area.

Comfortable, clean and new

Very recently and nicely finished apartment. Very comfortable bed and nice sofa. Good bathroom and kitchen. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony. Minor negative is that the kitchen countertop could be improved. It's worth knowing that while a quite nice washer and dryer are available and worked quite well for us, they are shared with the owner and using them requires some coordination. Make sure you get directions from the owner before arriving, otherwise identifying the right driveway is a bit tricky since three or four fan out from the same place. Certainly one of the best of twenty or so units we've rented in the past two years. We'd be happy to stay again.

Thomas and Irena were perfect guests. Regarding their concerns: The kitchen counter top has been scheduled for upgrade, but it is hard to coordinate without cancelling reservations, so we've blocked out two weeks for the renovation and installation of granite kitchen counter tops. The washer dryer are for the tenants use only, but the access requires some coordination. We erred, usually for every guest we send more specific directions to navigate the driveway entrance, but this time we did not send those directions in time. Please accept our apologies for this omission. thank you for the kind words about the apartment, and we look forward to having you return, if you come this way again.

We had a very nice stay at this beautiful property. Very well situated to explore the town of Woodstock and other parts of the Catskills. The hosts were very helpful, making check-in and -out easy, and letting us know they were available for any questions. The place was spacious and equipped with everything for a very pleasant stay.

Just what I needed

I’ve stayed a number of places in Woodstock. I really enjoyed my time in this apartment. It’s in the woods but close to town, very quiet. It was clean and I did not smell any mold, which was lovely. The hosts were very responsive and friendly, yet not intrusive. I hope to stay in Sam & Cathy’s Woodstock apartment again next year.

Retired couple celebrating 57 years together. Have resided in Woodstock for 53 years, at this location for 44 years. We love Woodstock and have been involved in community events and programs for decades. This year is the 22nd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Day - A Day of Gratitude coming up in August on the 15th, All welcome. Free music concert. We like to say about this heartening event, “Show up for the volunteers; they always show up for us.”

If we weren't renting this space out to guests, we'd be spending a great deal of time in it ourselves. We love it.
We built the house in 1982, raised our two children here and recently added the guest cottage apartment in 2018.
