Convenient location to all of Maui

The condo was in a great location in South Maui. There was a beach just across the road. The group appreciated the ground level floor. Property manager was great to communicate with and responded quickly. During our trip we needed a new beach chair and hairdryer and they were delivered within hours with no issues. Thank you for a great trip.

Nicely modernized, furnished, and equipped 2 bedroom ground-floor unit. Having AC in the main area and both bedrooms is a real bonus. Never had a bad stay at Kamaole Sands!

Wonderful place to stay for families

I would definitely stay in this unit again. The two bedroom unit was ideal for our family of 4 and had everything we needed to be very comfortable and entertained for our stay. The ground floor entry was so nice and close to the pool and made for an easy access to green space for the kids to run around. The grounds at this complex are really well taken care of and nice to look out at and enjoy a coffee in the morning r a drink later in the day! The only small thing to note is that this unit has two showers and no tub for kids. Otherwise, there was a wagon, toys, chairs boogie boards, towels and more!

Another wonderful stay at Kam Sands!

Third time at Kam Sands! Nice clean unit, love building 5 and ground floor is a must! Great beach gear in unit. Clean floors, nice clean bath and beach towels. Clean bed linens! Kitchen needed a little TLC, purchased a new cheap coffee maker after day one, mildew and crusty…normal for the volume these units see…but grossed us out a little. Everything was great! Love Maui!!!!

Great condo in a perfect location

Loved all the beach stuff—sand toys, boogie boards, chairs, umbrella, and a wagon to cart it all down to the beach. The unit is well equipped in the kitchen and provided everything we needed for our week long stay. Close to the pool and a big grassy area right out the lanai for the kids to run around. There was some construction happening in our building but the property manager notified us ahead of time and offered us a different unit or a discount. I really appreciated how up front they were about it.

Excellent place! CLEAN

My family had an amazing stay at this beautiful condo. First impression was how clean it was! Then how nicely updated and decorated it was. We felt "at home" immediately. Towels were luxurious and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and then some! There is a closet full of beach gear. Anything you would need for a family beach day. Loved the sweet welcome gift left on the table when we arrived. This is the first condo we have ever said would get our repeat business. Matt was very accommodating and helpful. My family had a lovely, memorable stay. It was truly the perfect place. And did I mention how clean!!?!

Loved this condo

Our family has been coming to this condo for the past 9 years. We've always enjoyed our stay here and fully appreciate all the amenities. The unit has a great supply of beach chairs, boogie boards, toys.. and the kitchen is well stocked. The large 50 inch plasma TV kept everyone entertained at night. The unit is very comfortable and relaxing. We love the ground floor for walking out to the pool and bringing in groceries. The lanai is very private and has a gorgeous view of the gardens. The designated parking spot is conveniently located in front of the unit. We looked forward to returning for many years. Mahalo.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit is a really good location. Right next to the pool and I love the ground floor patio. I’ve stayed in other units at this resort. I liked this location of this unit best, but liked the cleanliness of some other units more. The only downsides of this unit are fixable problems. There were lots of fruit flies and we killed 3 cockroaches. The couch could use a steam clean too. But again, overall good. Loved the well stocked beach supplies and I found left over aloe and laundry detergent.

Stunning 1st floor condo in gorgeous Kihei

This condo is exactly as pictured! Such a beautiful condo! We absolutely loved our time at this property and did not want to leave! It has everything you need for a perfect beach vacation, minus snorkels, which we picked up at Walmart. Beach chairs, towels, pool noodles (and the good thick ones from Costco!) This condo is a beautiful walk out right behind the pool area. The grounds of the complex were stunning! And it’s a 2 min walk across the street from the beach. Perfect area of south Kihei- walking distance to shops, restaurants, and close to kalama village shopping area. We highly recommend Ulua beach- we saw whales from shore, tons of sea turtles all 3 times we went, and it has a great snorkeling reef off shore. Overall, we hated to leave. I’d only want to stay at this condo complex when we come back again- it’s gorgeous and the pool area is so large and accommodating for lots of people. Nothing but great things to say about it!

Pros: Price during Christmas season was the cheapest I found for a 2 bedroom unit Ground Floor unit has great access to pool Cons: Unit is dated and could use some TLC Boogie Boards available need to be replaced. (torn and not really usable) Smaller garbage can needed in kitchen so door can close easily Master bed very squeaky with every move and felt like a Full size bed instead of a Queen Gap between carpet and painted walls in master bedroom. Need to paint or install baseboards. Patio area is VERY small Minimal linens and some with holes

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Main issue was the bed in the master bedroom. Should be replaced with a firm mattress. Mattress is horrible. Should have requested another unit. I could not sleep with my husband the entire stay and he could barely sleep in the bed. I had to stay in other bedroom with my sister and my brother-in-law had to sleep on the couch the entire 14 days. Unit lacked basic cleaning supplies. Linens were not that good either.Rest of unit we were satisfied with. Love the location in Kihei.

Sorry to hear that you found the bed in the master bedroom uncomfortable. This mattress is less than two years old and a top quality brand. It is a King Sealy Posturepedic Firm with a Cushion Top. Personal preferences with mattresses vary in what people like. Should your future travel plans bring you back to Maui, we would be happy to have you as our guests again. Overall a Good Stay

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from a wonderful Maui vacation. Rental of this condo was very easy and the staff at Kamole Sands are very kind and helpful. This complex is within steps to the pool. Since we did not utilize the pool I think I would choose a unit closer to the beach next time. The furnishing were in good condition but definitely not like new. We used the pull-out couch for our twins which was great but we had trouble finding sheets to fit it. We made do with extra bedspreads found in the closet. You will receive information telling you to be clean because of bugs. We were very clean but still killed 10 roaches in the master bathroom the very first day. They seem to be concentrated in there and it should be treated. Overall the condo was pretty clean but sand will be stuck to your feet the whole time and there are no rugs. Management- I highly recommend replacing the tub stopper in the master bath as it is so moldy it is slimy. We used the other tub.The kitchen was well stocked and the only thing I would suggest is adding a sheet pan. I had bought pizzas and had to cook them on the oven racks. We utilized the grill area often and it is kept very clean. We used all of the beach equipment and it was so great to have. Specifically there are 5 chairs, an umbrella, buckets, shovels, sand molds, several soft-sided coolers and 1 boogie board. There are also a few life jackets for little people. I recommend renting snorkel gear because the turtles on the north side of the beach near the rocks are AWESOME. Keep in mind this is a ground floor unit and there are many benefits- the drawback is the noise from the condo above. The a/c is a window unit in the living room so you will need to keep bedroom doors open to keep them cool. I would recommend this property with the few reservations noted. It really just depends on your budget and what's important to you personally. We did not have a bad stay but I might try a different ren
