The property was at the very top of the hill, a very very steep, narrow and sharp turn driveway. It was a lovely property with beautiful views, it had everything you needed and I could imagine staying there in the winter with the fire. In saying that we visited the beginning of summer and it was hot. The house as equipped as it was for the winter, it wasn't so for the summer. It was hot outside, but it was literally a sauna inside. Very muggy and dry. With no air con opening the doors helped to cool things down. Opening the windows provided little relief especially at night. It was the first time staying at a Book a bach so was unsure of a few things. The question I ponder on is "does someone live there every other day except when its booked out" Food in the fridge and cupboard?, shoes in the rooms? and other things, I was unsure what that all meant as we were staying there, could we use them? could we eat it, drink it? When I stay at hotels, motels or the like I like to put my things in the drawers provided, but in this case I didn't because there were very personal items in the drawers. I feel those should have been removed along with the business information sitting in the room I slept in. Like I said it was the first time staying in a book-a-bach. So don't get me wrong this is not negative feedback. I learned a lot and yes I would stay there again. Mark and Shirley are great hosts, answered all my queries quickly and were very accommodating.
