We just had a one-night stay. The house was a good fit for us with two couples and a 7 year old. It is within easy walking distance to Manzanita's downtown.One issue is it was difficult to start a fire in the wood stove without some type of kindling and paper.

The house is ideally situated in a quiet area of Manzanita, opposite a woodland, 2 blocks from the beach and a very short walk to the main shops. It was perfect for our 3 night stay with 5 adults. There are loads of DVDs, board games and beach toys which we didn't get a chance to use but plenty to keep a family occupied in good or bad weather. The front terrace is a real bous as it catches the sun and is relatively private as there's no house opposite.Things to note: there is no door to the upstairs bedroom, so no lie-ins for those sleeping there once others are up and using the kitchen! Although there are ample dining chairs, the comfortable seating in the living room is limited to a 3 person sofa and an armchair.

The cottage is just 1.5 blocks to easy access to the beach. It is in a quiet location. The furnishings made it very comfortable. The kitchen is bright and airy with a skylight. The kitchen equipment is up-to-date and in good working order. There is no air conditioning, which is probably the norm for most of the older vacation homes in the area. The cottage is a short walk to Manzanita, which is a small, quiet and relaxing town with several good restaurants. On the negative side, The shower and bathtub are one unit. It is necessary to step over the rim of the tub. If you have mobility issues, this could be a problem because there are no grab or safety bars in the shower. There was no hairdryer.

Wonderful place by the sea

Just a great place for a family or just a couple to stay. Close to town with an easy walk and just down the street to the beach. Tons of movies, books, games in case you forgot yours or want something new.

Great Location in Manzanita

We had a great stay at this property in Manzanita! The location is wonderful, just a few minutes walk from the beach. It's also great if you have young kids along due to the easy walk to the park that is just down the street. The house was a little dated and a lot of things were dusty, but it was comfortable and the perfect size for our group.

Location was great, home could use some love.

The location of this home was great. However, the house itself was both in need of some minor repairs and some serious housekeeping. The laundry door came off of its hinges as soon as we opened it, the bathroom door doesn't stay closed and we found cobwebs and bugs in corners of the floor.

Perfect for Families

The perfect weekend getaway. The playground is right across the street, beach access is just a few minutes away and the area is super quiet. They even have some great toys for little travelers (18months). Just don’t forget to bring your own hairdryer. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Great location!

We loved this cozy spot and the location couldn’t have been better! Our only complaint was that the dining room light flickered the whole time and we didn’t anticipate no door for the upstairs bedroom.

House was clean. Kitchen and dining area were great. Offered numerous cds and living room was comfortable as were the beds. Fantastically close to the beach and walking distance to town. Will definitely stay here again!

Our overall impression was positive, however, there was only one full bathroom, the place is a big dark and the micro didn't work. It was great distance to the beach, lovely walking area around the home and fun area to be in. We enjoyed our stay in this cozy little place.

We would stay there again! Short walk to the beach and the house was very nicely decorated and nicely appointed kitchen. I had difficulty using the code to lock up using the directions inside the house so I used the assigned code instead.

Great location, well-appointed kitchen

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean, and the kitchen was very well equipped - more than most rental places. One of the queen beds has a ton of light and is great for listening the rain, but the other has a more comfortable mattress - but that's the only trade-off we ran into while staying here. The street is quiet with lots of pedestrian traffic and very little car traffic.
