The kitchen had everything we needed to cook weekly meals. Air conditioning was good. Perfect location to all Waikiki things and the beach. Don't miss the little store next door...its a gem! And it comes with one parking spot and believe me its hard to find a place with parking and free laundry in Waikiki at this price point. This is a great 30 day rental!!

What a Deal!!

You can't find a place this nice in Waikiki for a price like this! Close to the beach, a kitchen to cook our food, and the place was very clean. We were actually kinda surprised that it was exactly what we were expecting considering the price being to much cheaper than a regular hotel room. This is way better than a hotel! You'll love it! Royal Moana

This was a perfect condo for two. Everything was clean and the kitchen fully equipped for the most part (could have used a few more glasses). We ate a number of our meals in, so the kitchen was a huge plus for us. The condo is very conveniently located to the beach, Kapiolani Park, Ala Wai Canal, etc. We walked everywhere. Kai was extremely helpful and the rental equipment top-notch. The washers/dryers were convenient, reasonably priced and well maintained. We would definitedly stay here again and in the same condo - great trade winds. Julie

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in 301 for 31 nights. Nice small condo building with 8 suites. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment. No beach mats, chairs or umbrella are in the suite. The biggest issue for us was that there was no comfortable seating. Two disparate wooden chairs both of which were very uncomfortable. I ended up using a folding beach chair which was more comfortable. A loveseat would be a welcome addition to the room.

Condo was clean, ac, parking available if needed for minimal charge. Lacking - comfortable seating for reading. Lanai was overstated as only room for a chair sideways. Service was excellent as coffee maker did not work and they showed up quickly. Bed leg did break, reported but told them no hurry as we put a brick under for support (it was a holiday week). Overall - great for the price!

Very convenient and comfortable location

Some unfortunate circumstances forced us to cancel our plans and move the trip to April. The folks at Alii refunded part of our trip so we appreciated that. The apartment is located in a quieter part of Waikiki near an empty building lot. Walking up the stairs is actually very pleasant. The apartment is very modern and the main bed is comfortable with a large TV on the wall and a ceiling fan. When we arrived the AC didn't seem to be working and they sent a repair man a day later to check the unit. Overall a very pleasant place close to the beach to stay.

Good Location, Very Clean Condo

Pay the extra for parking, it is a must. The unit was spotless, linens were of good quality and overall it was a good bargain. There was alot of street noise at night and in the early morning (it is a big city, after all). The air conditioner fan was very noisy as well which didn't help. There was no usable casual seating in the unit which would make it less than ideal if you plan to spend much time in the unit. We basically ate some meals and slept there.

We did have a couple issues as in the Main TV did not work when we got there and the Air Conditioner broke on the 3 day but the management sent their maintenance Guy promptly and fixed the problems. All in all it is a convenient location about 3 blocks from the beach and we enjoyed the stay. I did feel the $115.00 cleaning fee was a little steep especially when they ask you to do the dishes and take out garbage at checkout since it is a studio apt and there is very little cleaning to do for $115

The counter in the bathroom is in need of repair. No saran wrap or zip lock bags. No oil or spices...the salt didn't come out of the shaker. No hooks in the bathroom. I already wrote a review but can't remember all of the issues. I basically like the building, but the things that I mentioned can improve the stay. Thank you.

Great way to see Waikiki

We opted to leave the blinds to the main windows closed as the view of messy balconies is not impressive, but the view to the mountains is great. (we did not rent this room for the view) Make sure to bring shampoo, soap, conditioner and all foods that you will need if you plan on cooking. There was some salt and pepper. The location is great for buses, beach and walking. Bring some dvds if you plan to be in early in the evening. If you have issues with stairs or carrying luggage this is not for you. If you read that the unit has boogie boards, chairs, beach umbrellas and snorkel gear this is true, but once you get to the unit you learn there is a fee to use these items.

Found this location via internet searches, contacted many other locations, this site had the best customer service, user friendly booking service, honest advertising, clean and well-maintained, and even allowed a relative of mine to visit and check the place out! It is a diamond in the rough not too far from Diamond Head. On the Eastern side of Waikiki- you are away from most of the hustle and bustle and crowds. Short walk to the not so crowded side of Waikiki Beaches, Kapiolani Park, Zoo, Ala Wai Canal, yet close enough you can catch the trolley, bus, or walk to the Heart of Waikiki, Ala Moana shopping, etc.. Condo interior was great, stylish, roomy- full kitchen helped us feed 3 year old at odd hours and times, and saved money and waistlines from constant restaurant food! Futon in the closet worked well for extra toddler sleeping and sitting around to watch tv. Hidden doors allowed the adults some privacy by separating the bedroom from the kitchen area. Well stocked with beach and bath towels and rentable other beach stuff on request. Manager came to fix broken remote control quickly- not that you want to stay in doors to watch tv, DVD/CD or VHS a lot in Hawaii. Parking space and internet access was a definite plus! Only drawback- we live where it is quiet at night and are used to that. After 9 p.m. or so the noise from the streets of Waikiki- buses, taxis, people, starts to calm down. We didn't use the A\C, which would have masked the noise if we wanted. We tired our selves out most days sight seeing, visiting, shopping, swimming, etc. Must use stairs for the upper levels. We'll go back, and I do recommend this location to others.

Luxury is subjective but...

We have used Homeaway.com and VRBO.com for the last several years and this unit was our 11th rental through these sites. This is the first time we have felt that a unit did not meet our expectations. While the unit appeared to be kept clean, the sheets and bedspread had stains and the chair cushion next to the 19" television was also stained. Not what we would expect from a unit that is indicated as luxury. The kitchen is serviceable, but of the three frying pans, one had the Teflon severely scratched off, one had a very loose handle and all appear to be in need of washing before being used. The steak knives in the block had either rust or had not been cleaned. While the bathroom looked very nice from the pictures, the shower floor needed caulking and this just gives the impression that it may not be very clean, plus there was a poorly repaired ceiling problem right above the shower. It would have been nice to be able to open the patio door, but it had no screen door. Even with the windows closed the outside noise is constant. We were able to hear all of the street traffic, sirens, people talking on the street as well as the noise from the unit across the walkway. I believe that if this unit were a hotel, it would receive at best a two star rating out of five. We ended up leaving. To end on a positive note Alii Beach Rentals worked with us, as best they were able, to make some financial concessions even though the contract indicated no refunds.

Don't Stay Here

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Picture on website looks nice and fresh but the unit is a disappointment. It's smaller than it appears and it is worn out. Uncomfortable bed. Bad area. Initially took 20 minutes to open the exterior lockbox to get the key to enter the exterior gate. Got up to 3rd floor (walkup - no elevator) and combination to room didn't work. Management company was tremendously helpful and told me that it was because I arrived early and that the lock would not work until 3:30 check-in time. They gave me a different temporary combination to get in. Turned out that new locks were put on a week earlier and new combinations were required but I was not notified. Didn't find this out until I went to beach, came back and was locked out. Called emergency #. They installed new locks and changed the 4 digit combination to 8 digits. Had to write it down and keep it with me since it was not easily remembered. Next morning I went out for coffee at 6:00 am and came back only to find that the exterior lockbox containing the gate key was broken and could not be opened to get back in. Had to climb over 6 foot fence. Not a trivial task for a 58 year old. Although only 2 1/2 blocks from beach, the area was run down. Homeless sleeping on street and in some building doorways. I made a reservation at a nice hotel, called a taxi and left at 9:00 am. Took the loss for the unit and chalked it up to a bad experience. Didn't report anything to the management company since they didn't deserve to be informed after placing such a misleading unit for rent. Not sure what other properties they represent but will steer clear Ali'i Beach Rentals!

Clean but dated

We were not impressed with the beds. The trundle didn't raise, but we really didn't need it. The power broom didn't work for me. I never tried the vacuum. We were mostly disappointed because there was no beach furniture as advertised, and no comfortable place to sit inside. The kitchen had everything we needed for light meals. The staff was polite and responsive. It served our needs for the price because we were staying a long time. The location was good, close to the beach, the zoo and the aquarium and bus stops.

Good location for the price.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was as advertised, not high-end but comfortable and clean on arrival and that's what we expected and wanted. All my issues were promptly dealt with. Nice to have a free parking space in Waikiki. The laundry facility is used all day by management but from 5 to 10pm is free for the tenants use. Lots of road noise even at night. All in all a clean,comfortable decently priced condo on a busy road only 4 blocks from the beach.

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was super dirty we had to wash the floors ourselves because they were black it’s like they haven’t been washed at all only swept. The countertops had sand on them. I stayed at this condos many times and this is the worst it’s been. Drive didn’t work had to contact them twice to do something about it. And at night we had 2 roaches on separate occasions interesting how when we didn’t leave the doors opened and we stayed on the 3rd floor. After this time I don’t think I will be staying there anymore

Beautiful Location

We had a fantastic time at this property for our wedding! Less than a 5 minute walk to Waikiki beach and local restaurants. The apartment was very clean, and bright which we loved. There's no elevator, so you will have to carry the luggage upstairs. Great management, answered questions promptly.
