Cosy home away from home

We stayed 7 nights & felt at home immediately upon arrival. House was clean & well presented. The upstairs was beautiful with amazing views, gorgeous light filled windows that captured all of nature with the trees, birds, sea & sky... Kitchen facilities were good, lovely wrap around balcony & the fire kept us toasty & heated up the whole upstairs wonderfully. Our only criticism was that the 4th bedroom which we would have used was very cold, dark, damp & unwelcoming so we didn’t bother to use it. It would have been better left as a garage & not converted to an awful room. But apart from that we enjoyed a lovely relaxing week here & highly recommend for that cosy, basic home away from home feel ...

The fact that this house does not have air conditioning is concealed. It was unbearable

Do not rent this house over summer. It does not have air conditioning and has no protection against the heat. Stay was unbearable with barely any sleep for any of us. Grossly disappointing . “Big screen TV” is misleading, it’s standard size. It was a hot weekend outside but the heat in this house is indescribable.

Farm Crosse

The house was lovely but I didn't feel we could leave our dog outside as some of the fences were quite low and the gate had a gap underneath large enough for our dog to get under (as proven by 2 neighbourhood dogs who came to visit).

A Yearly Favourite

Our small writing group loves staying at Farm Crosse once or twice a year as a retreat. We love the quiet location, which is perfect for relaxing and for creativity. It's only a short stroll down to the beach and a short walk into town. Perfect in summer thanks to the cool breeze, and lovely and cozy in winter with the fire going.

Great place for all members of the family

Had a wonderful stay at farm crosse. The shower outside was amazing great to clean the days beach 🏖 off you. Only down fall was no air conditioning. But it does open up well to get a breeze through.

Absolutely wonderful

Farm Crosse was indeed "perfect for families and the family dog." Everything about our stay was perfect, we absolutely loved staying here. Farm Crosse was so comfortable and homely and felt so welcoming. To have been able to include our dearly loved older dog as well in such a lovely home was truly wonderful. The elevated view, the beautiful fire, heaters in every room such that we were so beautifully warm throughout our stay. All described was completely accurate. We definitely recommend a stay here. My family and I really hope we can return to stay here again another time. Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful space with us.

Great location in Lorne

Gorgeous views visited by cockatoos and magpies every morning. Easy walk to shops and beach via side path off the main road (Deans Marsh). House clean and well appointed, beds were comfortable, heaters in every room, appreciated that pets were welcomed. Garden safe for dogs. Will definitely return.
