Great place to stay!

We had a great time in Maui and the room 1107 was so great and clean! Loved the views to the ocean to the mountains with the fish pond below. Nice to have sand chairs and boogie boards to the beach. Enjoyed the stay and can’t wait to come back!

Couldn't ask for more!

This was our second visit to this specific condo and our 3rd visit to The Whaler and Kaanapali Beach. We just love returning here. It is so relaxing and so incredible, and this condo just makes the world right with all the amenities that we ever need.

Quick whale watching get away

We’ve stayed at Whalers village condos many times. This condo was neat and clean. Great sunset views. This side of the tower gets nice sunshine all day. I’d recommend this unit. The owner was easy to work with!

Great location

Very impressed by this unit. Clean, great location (near Whaler Village shops & restaurants). -nice beach & warm pool -11th floor spectacular view; -nice large unit -very little to no wind or rain on our balcony; see sunrise and sunsets; -all appliances work (except needs new dishwasher) -great large shower that works well -good dishes & pots & pans -could use better beach chairs & beach umbrella Highly recommend it & will stay here again.

Spectacular view, awesome condo

I can't say enough good things about this condo and its location. It had a style and elegance that fit with the property. I never got used to have magnificent the view was. We had all the comforts of home in condo. Everything from Utensils to the free wireless internet. I've already informed my husband we're coming back next year.

Great view, great property

Pluses: - Amazing view! Spent hours just sitting on the lanai watching whales breaching. - High seats on the lanai are a major plus. - Good quality cookware and knives (we like to cook) Minuses: - The mattress is showing its age. - A coffee mill is a necessity for us Seattle folks. :-)

First off, this is a very romantic locale and lovely resort. There was tons to do in the surrounding area - I think they call it Whaler or something. The close beach was jaw dropping - beautiful, gentle waves, soft sand, sunshine every day. Drug my husband through the nearby outlet shopping mall and he forced to play a round of golf on the nearby course. We're kind of tit for tat like that. Anyway, we loved our stay here, would come back again, and def recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet Maui vacation.

Great location for a fun week

Whaler 1107 was a good spot to be, great views of the ocean and the mountains from the 11th floor. Being on Kaanapali beach and next door to Whalers village was perfect. This was our 4th time to Maui and this was the most convenient location we’ve been too, we seek out a 1-bedroom over a standard hotel room. The room itself was nice and clean but is dated compared to a Westin or Hyatt. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were very well kept. We would definitely stay again. The one watch out would be for families with less-confident swimmers - the “shallow end” of the pool is 4ft; no problem for us but it would’ve been a bad surprise if our kids needed to touch to enjoy the pool.

Great Unit Whaler 1107

Has everything you need. Clean and tidy with thoughtful amenities. A little outdated but we don’t mind that one bit actually. The rates have to go way up to cover the costs of brand new remodels, I’d rather use that money to enjoy more of Maui while I’m here. Queen bed was very comfortable for us. Tons of storage to get everything put away. There were only 2 of us so we each got a bathroom which felt pretty relaxing at getting ready time where we both needed to shower. Washer and dryer were great to have in the unit and allowed us to wash instead of pack more than we needed.

I would have liked to have a make up mirror in one of the bathrooms. Looks like there use to be one. Also, You need to have plastic containers with lids on them for storing food items. I feel the kitchen cabinets either need painting or a good cleaning.

Really loved this condo on 11th floor. Views are amazing and relaxing. Loved your taller outdoor furniture so you can see over the balcony. Had everything we needed, was very clean and nicely furnished. Would stay here again any time. Thank you for allowing our family to enjoy!!

Nothing short of fantastic!

The suite was beautiful! Gorgeous ocean view from the lanai. Stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Location is great - short drive into Lahaina, 2 minute walk to Whaler’s Village and a minute to the beach! Loved it!!

UPDATE of bathrooms is long OVERDUE

We've been staying at the Whaler for years....and love it and the location. Best beach in Maui. We booked this unit for the last two weeks of November....it has a fabulous view and a pleasant Hawaiian themed interior..... BUT.......The bathrooms are in dire need of an UPDATE ...MOST OF ALL the Master Bath. The bathtub is terribly stained and its surface finish completely worn away. The lights above the bathtub - half the ceiling lighting in the bathroom does not work - flickering on & off when the shower is on. Not a safe feeling as one stood under the shower. The 2nd bathroom flickering ceiling lights haphazardly. There are two showers in the Master bathroom, a fixed and a handheld , the handheld not functioning at all. How is it possible then to properly clean this area?? Its obviously not! The grout around the tub has mildew which was covered up in areas with a fresh white silicone. The years of calcium deposits and what ever else has accumulated is built up along the sliding shower panels. Because the dishwasher is in need of replacement ...all the dishes and cutlery used by the previous tenants had to be rewashed by hand before we were comfortable using them. This was went on throughout our stay...2 weeks! Had we been in a Hotel we would have immediately asked for another room...and would have received one due to these circumstances. As a guest through Home AWAY a lot is required ...multiple fees, insurance, resort taxes ...it all adds up. There needs to be more required from this owner. The view is nice..but comfort is key and this unit is in need of some very long overdue attention.

Dear Christine, as you may recall we left you several messages none of which you chose to return. We reached out prior to your stay, during your stay and immediately after receiving your email indicating an issue with the hand held shower and finding residue on some of the dishes in the cupboard. There was no mention of flickering lights. You clearly stated in your email that you did not wish to be disturbed negating our efforts to correct the issues. On a act of good faith we processed, as you know a substantial refund to your credit card. The owner of this unit continues to make improvements annually and does indeed have plans to remodel their bathrooms. In the meantime, we quickly resolved the flickering light in the master bathroom by replacing the bulb and the shower handle is once again working properly after a quick and minor adjustment. The dishwasher is less than 5 years old and until now we’ve had no reports of residue left on the dishware. It’s quite possible it was a previous well-intentioned guest’s efforts with hand washing. In the future, more often than not we can quickly remedy oversights providing we’re given the opportunity.

Good views, nice beach, quiet neighbors And within walking distance to a lot of nice restaurants!

We love Maui... Especially the sea turtles —don’t touch them, give them their space— and we went horseback riding at Ironwood Stables ... which was great!

Fantastic unit in a special location.

Great unit with everything one could wish for on hand, perfect location, easy access to the beach, shops and restaurants. Unit was perfect and very well set out, Whaler staff are very friendly and helpful. No problems, no issues, just a great holiday. Would highly recommend.

Stunning condo was a perfect fit for this couple

Got back from our vacation staying at your condo, and we were so happy with our experience. The condo was as well-maintained as me or my husband have come across, and we usually vacation a couple times a year. Everything was clean and in excellent shape. Been to Maui before, but this trip was the best by far. Thanks for the excellent accommodations and the great memories.

Thanks for the memories

First time to Maui, and we will definately be coming back. Holy sea shells did we have a good time! I don't know if it's like this on the rest of the island, but there was just so much to do in such close proximity to the resort. We went golfing, jet skiing, took a sunset and snorkeling cruise, went to a half dozen different restaurants, and even got some good shopping in the local outdoor mall. All of it was within walking distance, though, admittedly, we did drive to the golf course. The resort and unit were equally impressive. The staff at the resort were friendly, and were eager to help us whether we asked where the workout facility was or the best local restaurant to try. The condo itself was very well taken care of. Alot of love has gone into decorating the place with a Hawaiian motif, and we definitely dug that. It's very spacious inside for a one bedroom place. The two TV's were like new, and we appreciated having the extra channels to surf when we weren't out and about. The kitchen met all our needs. We didn't feel we were missing out on any of the comforts of home. I never got over the view from the lanai. It's what we drew us to this place initially. Just breathtaking. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and perfect

My husband and I were just recently married. We of course planned the honeymoon far in advance, and picked this condo hoping the pictures were truly accurate to what we would experience. I'm overjoyed to say that the view and condo looks even better in person. It was a very romantic setting. Glad we choose to two weeks instead of one. Thank you so much. We'll cherish our memories of Maui for the rest of our lives.
