Coming to Charlotte geschäftlich oder privat? Statt eines Hotelzimmers neben Groucho Snoresnuffer, den Aufenthalt in einem privaten Wasser '80 Kabine eine halbe Stunde von der Innenstadt von Charlotte, und innerhalb von 10 Meilen von Restaurants und Lebensmittelgeschäfte (und Super Wal-Mart). Als wir am Wasser sagen, dann meinen wir das Wasser Blick auf den Lake Wylie aus jedem Fenster in diesem gemütlichen Kabine. Haupt-Schlafzimmer im Haupt mit Kingsize-Bett, 2. Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss mit Königin. Drittes Schlafzimmer hat ein Doppelbett / Kinder zwei Etagenbett Kombination. Einbauküche, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle, Herd, Backofen, Kühlschrank, Geschirrspüler. Willkommen zu friedlich, ruhig am See leben. Nur 30 Minuten südlich der Innenstadt Charlotte, sondern aus dem Netz auf den Punkt von 0,7 Meilen hinunter eine Kiesstraße! Wählen Sie die Fische springen, sonnen Schildkröten, hochfliegenden Adler und Seebrise während in diesem stark mit Fenstern bleiben, Wrap-around-Deck, neu lackiert und aufgefrischt 80 Kabine. Dieses Haus ist ein außergewöhnlich günstiges Seegrundstück 1 oder 2 Geschäftsreisenden zu ermöglichen, mit uns statt im Hotel zu bleiben. Es ist ein $ 15 Dollar pro Person pro Nacht Gebühr für jede Person mehr als 2 Personen wohnen (i. E. 4 Personen mieten für $ 180 pro Nacht, 6 Personen für $ 210 pro Nacht mieten). Comfortable and Affordable Lake House

I was in trouble.

I needed a home that could accommodate my VERY large family who was planning weekend boating shenanigans (which meant we needed a lakefront property) AND would be affordable at the same time.

Could such a property exist?

Indeed! The fabulous Seanor lake house!

First off, communicating with Jeannie was an absolute pleasure-- incredibly friendly, warmhearted, responsive and generous enough to accommodate my unusual circumstances (for an additional fee) when other owners wouldn't give me the time of day to voice my plea.

Based on other reviews of this property, it appears there might be a bit of controversy regarding the condition of the house. Let me assure you that this house is NOT a dump. Yes, the listing clearly indicates that it's not a state-of-the-art home with stainless steel appliances and what-have-you. What it does have is a spacious kitchen which allows you to cook like Julia Child (maybe not enough gadgets to do so, but there's enough), a huge dining table for 10 to feast at, incredibly comfortable beds, a huge living room, and spectacular views of the lake from both inside and outside (a fabulous wrap-around deck). Most importantly, the entire house was clean. Yeeees, there's some water stains in the toilet and the shower stall is stained blue from soap, but it's not a big deal. Imperfections like these are minor considering everything you get from the rental for such a reasonable nightly rate. Trust me, the place is clean enough.

Let's move on.

There exists a small beach/sandy area from which to wade into the lake. There is a short trail you must walk down which can be tricky while wearing flip-flops. Not recommended for older adults that might need assistance to walk. Otherwise, it's perfectly acceptable.

The only negative comment I have to offer regarding this property was our inability to use the advertised dock, which is now off-limits due to its condition. I had made arrangements to rent a pontoon boat for a day and not having a place to keep it when it wasn't in use was a headache. But my family made it work regardless, so everything worked out at the end. Jeannie, I think you should probably update the listing to address the inaccessibility of the dock.

All in all, my experience renting this home was a positive one. If you're looking for an unpretentious lake house for a family-friendly vacation, this place will work for you!

Jeannie opened the space up to us with so much love. She gave us everything we needed to assure that we would have a wonderful stay. The location is beautiful, being right on the lake. The water was perfect to swim in. The house was just great. Clean rooms. Beautfiul space. Looking forward to returning in October!

pleasant place to stay - idyllic setting

I spent 3 days relaxing on a spacious deck, enjoying the amazing setting of this home right on the river. The home had everything needed for a comfortable retreat. The kitchen is clean and well-stocked for basic needs. The living room and bedroom furnishings are basic, but very comfortable and of good quality. The boat dock isn't usable, but you could launch a kayak or canoe from a beach access on the property. The only irritation on our long weekend was a dog next door who barked continually when the occupants were outside; hopefully, they too were just visitors like us. All in all, this is a terrific place to use for a personal retreat and I will keep it in mind for our next visit to the Charlotte area.

Property was not as described

I will begin my review by saying this house has a great view. With that said, I am extremely disappointed with our experience and feel certain very important points regarding the house should have been disclosed up front.

This lake house is water VIEW only. There is no lake access. The front of the property is steep and covered in rocks for erosion control. The beach described is on the neighbor’s property. It is rocky, has leaches, and is only accessible through a narrow wooded trail. There is a dock, but you are not permitted to use it even though it is mentioned throughout the property description and many of the reviews (which note fishing off the dock, etc.). This point should have been made clear up-front instead of a surprise upon arrival.

The house: This house is old and a little run down. That is described accurately. However, make sure you walk the house thoroughly when checking in to document the condition upon arrival. Half of the chairs on the back porch are broken. In addition, some of the doors throughout the house are broken and very difficult to open/close.

The home owner will also require photos of your IDs and license plates (each guest) before handing over the keys. I certainly understand wanting to check IDs at check in, but requiring photo copies is completely unreasonable. This isn’t in the property description.

Overall, the experience would not have been that bad. Nothing beats spending time with friends and family boating, fishing, swimming and hanging out on the lake. Just make sure these activities are permitted on the property you rent. It will not be this one.

Vermieter-Kommentar: Robby, You admitted that you had not read the rental agreement. There's nothing we can do for people who have expectations for things we explicitly state we do not have. The honorable thing to do when you realized your error at check-in, would have been to have an honest conversation with us. At check-in, your party was informed verbally that the dock was in need of repairs and off-limits, and was shown the "No Trespassing" sign on the dock, but you used it as a boat dock and damaged it anyway. Now apparently you have sour grapes about paying for that damage, and the suntan oil-looking damage to the paint in the upstairs bedroom. I'm sure we can agree not to work together again-- we do need our guests to be honest and abide by the rental agreement. Sincerely, Jeannie Seanor

The property was awesome.

The property was great, good fishing off the dock and a great yard with fire pit which we put to use as well. Jeanne was very friendly and welcomed us in person and explained everything about the place to us. Very peaceful place to stay. The one down fall for us was the place could have been cleaner and dishes in the cupboards were dirty and or greasy, I'm sure not washed well by whoever stayed there in the last few visits so this is something that the owner may not notice but should maybe check between visits. Bathrooms need a good deep cleaning as well but otherwise the place was great and more than met our needs. great area and good fishing lake.

Thank you for the reminder to be more specific during the tour of the house..... I know I covered with you that the dishwasher cannot tolerate food scraps left on the plates (and that they have to be rinsed off completely or minute specks of food will be distributed over every dish and glass) -- evidently I did not emphasize that point enough with the guests before you! I am sorry I didn't catch that they had been put away like that. We had one guest about a year ago that was very put off by the discoloration ring at the water line in the toilets. At some point in the past the cabin was left to sit empty and although the toilets and tubs are completely thoroughly clean, there are definitely watermark stains which don't come out. Thank you for the reminder to be sure to better explain those; that is what I meant to cover when I said we are a 1980's cabin with original kitchen and baths, but sometimes a more explicit explanation is beneficial. I was very happy to help you out with the early return of your security deposit, and am delighted to hear of your enjoyable stay at our lake cabin.

SHORT TERM RENTAL AGREEMENT
This Short Term Rental Agreement is made by and between Homeowner and Guest as of the date last set forth on the signature page of this Agreement. For good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties hereby agree as follows:
Property. The property is located at: 16920 Landover Road, Charlotte, NC 28278
1. The property is furnished and includes linens and towels.
2. Rental Party: The rental party shall consist only of Guests registered on VRBO registration.
3. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 8-- this cabin is not rented as a party house.
4. Term of the Lease. The lease begins at 4 p.m. on Check-in Date and ends at 11:00am on Checkout Date.
5. Minimum Stay: This property requires a 3 night minimum stay. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than 3 days, the guest will be charged the 3-night rate.
6. Rental Rules: Guest agrees to abide by the Rental Rules attached as Exhibit A at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property.
7. Access: Guest shall allow Homeowner access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner..
RENTAL RULES
The dock and swim platform is currently in need of repair and closed. It is not available to tie up your boat to..... the wood, cleats and design are not suitable for this purpose.
This property is surrounded on 3 sides by water, so this will not be appropriate for children who can open doors, cannot swim, and/ or are prone to wander off.
Smoking is allowed outside only, and cigarette butts are to be collected and stored in your car for disposal.
People other than those in the Guest party set forth are not permitted on the property; unregistered guests
