Everything you could possibly want. Great location and a short walk to two great pubs. We loved the Kings Arms with its fantastic food and atmosphere. The cottage is very well appointed and is perfect for a weekend away or as a base to explore the fells. Thank you for the stay.

Long Weekend in the Lakes

Great cottage, clean and very well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Nice village with a good restaurant and easy access to all the surrounding areas we wanted to visit.

We had a great few days at the house. It was a short drive from lots of the main lake district sites and really close to Rheged which was definitely worth a visit. The house was clean, spacious and well appointed. We made good use of the wood burner. We had a really nice meal at the local pub one evening.

I very relaxing week

Lovely property with very helpful owners and excellent communication. A good base to explore The lakes. A nice friendly pub and a hotel very close by to walk for good food.

Lovely cottage in a great location

A great stay. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped. From comfortable beds to everything you could need in the kitchen. Communication with the owner was clear, helpful and timely and check in couldn’t have been easier. And it’s a great location as a base in the Lakes.

Brilliant location

Lovely little place, a great base for exploring the Lakes. Good to have a downstairs bedroom for older family members. Kitchen well equipped with all you could need.

We really enjoyed our time at Smithys House. We felt right at home a very cozy charming spacious home.
