Everything was ideal for our weekend. Plenty of room across the board, with the pool table and foosball being down in the bar area as well as the large table upstairs for card games, both having good TV setups as we watched college basketball. Porches (3) were also great and had a good view. Would recommend highly to anyone.

When we first arrived we experienced a few issues that were not pleasant and very disappointing. I contacted the owners immediately and they were understanding and accommodating. They rectified the issues at hand in a very timely and professional manner. I would hands down recommend this host to anyone. My family and I enjoyed the cabin it was beautiful and well put together. They supplied all of our needs and wants. Thank you for an extraordinary stay.

Great location!

The location was perfect for our group activities that took place at the Convention Center. We were able to avoid all the traffic on the Parkway, which saved us so much time going to and from the Convention Center. The road up is quite steep and we had a little bit of snow but made it up the mountain in a 12 passenger van. The owner was very quick to communicate with me about some concerns I had ahead of our trip. My only complaint is the kitchen needs more pots and pans.

Smaller than it Looks

They layout of this cabin was perfect. However the main rooms were smaller than expected and we could have used more seating. We loved the kitchen and bar area. Our biggest complaint was the dirty carpets and the bunk room. Then bunk room was very small and the rooms bunks were too close to the ceiling. This room was very uncomfortable. This cabin would work better for a group of 15, not 20. The decks and the view were awesome.

Don’t come back

my experience in this place was not the best, the photos they have on the internet are not correct, the kitchen is very small, there are only 3 showers, the hot water runs out quickly, there were only 5 cups to drink coffee, the bathrooms had only a wheel of soap, the grill was dirty, the beds in the first room (basement) were very dirty, So I will never say at this place and I didn’t recommend.

Not clean

The property looked like it had not been cleaned from the previous renters. The bed linens were dirty and the floors were not cleaned either. There was dust everywhere and also black mild in the ice machine. We never received the key for the pool either

Little but big things

We didn't have enough toilet paper. I never found the card to go to the swimming pool The nob for the main room in the shower didn't work. We where not able to connect the TV to the wifi. The TV from the second floor never turned on. And the manager or owner never responded to my email calls or txt.

This is the worst place we've ever stayed at

Notable Incidents: The Cabin was not cleaned upon arrival. After being cleaned, the cabin was still filthy and and dirty clothes in it, including a peed in blanket in the cabinet and a used diaper under the sink. There was a giant rodent in the cabin. There was not enough bedding, pillows, blankets. The Grill / Oven were unusable. Several things were broken such as the Bunk Bed Ladder and the fire alarms. There is mold everywhere. The owners were terrible with communication.

We got our cleaning team back to the cabin while you were present. We wish you would've informed them of your concerns, as they would've addressed all of them while they were there. -Given our cabin is in a woodsy area, we have pest control come monthly. If guests let us know about any pest concerns, we ask our pest control to come out for an additional visit. -The oven is working properly. -There is no mold. We had past guests cause water damage in the bathroom. A plumber has addressed it and taken care of any mold risk. -We got new wireless smoke detectors and the detector you saw was turned off. We've since removed it to avoid any confusion in the future. -We feel we communicated well with you, and have started to reach out to all guests to make sure their stay is going okay. We appreciate your feedback!

Needs Updated and Porch Dangerous

The property is in need of updates! The lower deck is not usable, boards broke and holes in deck. They did have door to deck blocked off. The upper deck had at least two of the spindles in the railing that was broke - This deck is off the main floor and about two stories off the ground, thus unable to let the grandchildren onto the deck due to safety concerns. This was an issue since there is no yard area. We attempted to contact our assigned contact but never received a call or communication back.

Hi Kathy, thank you for your review. We wanted to pass along the following feedback from the homeowners: Kathy, I am very sorry for the state of the deck during your stay. The porch has been repaired and the broken spindles have been replaced. I did not receive any messages from you, so I'm not sure where the breakdown in communication was. We try to be responsive to all of our guests, and I will look into what happened.

Hello, Property was much smaller then it looks on your listing.It give falls impression of size of individual room. Rooms were very small. The surrounding of the property was good. Cleanliness. Property was badly managed. Bed sheets and pillows were so dirty that we had to buy new bed sheets and pillows.We saw lot of spider web inside the house luckily no spider bits. Pool table was dirty. NO BATTERIES. There was no batteries in any of the TV remotes.We had to buy new battery. POOR AIR CIRCULATION. no air circulation in master bedroom. SOFA were super dirty and smells. HOT TUB. Water wasn't fresh and we couldn't change the temperature of the water. We are planning to open the dispute with credit card company for half of our payments back due to poor condition and inconvenience caused. I suggest to delist this property from your website.

Hi Vishal, thank you for your review. We wanted to pass along the following feedback from the homeowners: I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. The pictures on the site are taken by a professional photographer through Evolve. They were taken true to size and do not seem to be fabricated or edited. Linens are provided clean and fresh between reservations. We have a pest control service that knocks down webs as a service to their customers. The cabin is in the Smoky Mountains and will have webs back in the same day they are knocked down. We have knocked them down ourselves and seen how quickly they are rebuilt. We replaced the pool table felt about two years ago and just had it re-felted last week. The AC is working just fine, as it was just replaced a few months ago. We were just at the property and the sofas are clean. Hot tub is drained, cleaned and refilled between each reservation. There is a temperature control on the hot tub. The hot tub was replaced a year and a half ago with a brand new hot tub. It is working properly. You did not contact us with any of these issues. We would have been happy to take care of any concerns you may have had right away. We want all of our guests to have a great stay and ask that you just contact us if there is ever anything that needs attention!

Needs Maintenance

It should have raised flags when I never received info. I requested from the host after booking. As soon as we pulled up to the location, we noticed trash all over the place. Not isolated to the trash bins, but all over the property.. cans, paper plates and general trash. The bunk room had no heat upon arrival. There were space heaters in the area, but tripped the breaker once plugged in. At the mid-level bedrooms, there were wet towels left on the floor, we washed and dried these in order to use. Calling, emailing and texting the host, only lead to no answer or returned texts. We had to call the real estate company, that prompted the property owner to call me. The cabin advertised a fireplace and an outside gas grill, this deemed useless since the propane tank was empty. The grill was so nasty, I would never eat food from it anyway. After texting the host for a propane delivery, she said it was scheduled but we never received propane. The main floor shower`s mixing valve control handle fell off when used. The most disgusting issue was the hot tub, not only was it ever set to a useable set point upon arrival, but the filter was so nasty we refused to use the tub. It was a shame of the lack of maintenance of this unit because it was a great location with a view, second to none.

Chateau Sur Lamont

Chateau Sur Lamont has been re-stained on the outside, repainted from top to bottom on the inside, both decks have been re-stained, as well as a 3rd deck built outside of the Bunkroom, so 3 functional decks are in place, new ladders have been installed on the bunk beds, all new wireless smoke detectors have been installed, new graspable hand rails have been installed, as well as new black piping for window treatments and bathroom towel bars and 6 additional outside rocking chairs have been put on the 3rd deck.

Awesome High School Football Weekend

We rented this beautiful, spacious house for our cheerleaders to stay in over fall break and an away football game. We traveled from Alabama to play a local high school In football and enjoyed this house tremendously. It had plenty of space and the view is spectacular. We saw lots of wildlife and several bears! We cooked most of our meals in the fully stocked kitchen. The girls really enjoyed the porches with the view and the hot tub. Will definitely stay here again!

We Voiced our concerns over the rating and review posted Dec 19th... we were assured everything would be checked and in order AND then they added - the reviews before the bad review were all 4 and 5 stars ...we spent MUCH more than we ever had for 3 nights. — The Chalet itself was nice, with great day and night views, when you could see through the cloudy and streaked windows... The bathroom mirrors were streaked and cloudy as well. Another need was the Fireplace was not working, which was mentioned on the review before we came — but I was told it had been shared with the owner and it should be resolved - it wasn’t resolved... I called 1st day and though the young lady tried several times — no one came until the afternoon of the final full day “too busy” was the reason we were told — that was a major reason we booked a chalet for the ambiance of a fireplace.. The cabinets were stocked very well with dishes, glassware, pots and pans - nice coffee pot - microwave, but only two trash bags for the duration - and no replacement of toilet paper, only 1 roll per bathroom. Finally for a chalet that housed 21 people the parking was extremely tight being that only 3 to 4 cars at the most would fit, however that was mentioned in the descriptions, we would suggest vans with multiple seatings if you’re going to need the 21 person rooming the chalet offers, it would be hard to fit 21 people into 3 or 4 cars ...We ‘re not angry just more educated and wanted to be clear for the next renters..
