Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was a good size for 4 adults and five kids (four of them shared one large room and that worked well). The house's yard was beautiful, especially the front. The house is at the end of a "cove" area so the dock is a little marshy but the kids still jumped in and swam. One complaint is the cleanliness. It felt like it needed a good scrub (rings/streaks in toilet, etc).

Great Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay at the Sunrise. We were unable to access the house until about 90 minutes beyond check-in time. I was a little surprised that no one from Taylor Management reached out to us about it. It was the fault of the people before us who left such a mess. I think the cleaners did the best they could cleaning up after them but because they were rushed, it probably wasn't as clean as it could have been. The location was great for the kayaks and the boat rental. The grandkids loved the large yard and long driveway and were able to safely ride bikes, play games and have fun outside. The entire family enjoyed the community indoor pool. The location was close to all of the places we wanted to visit...the beach, Swallow Falls, Lakeside Creamery, the Discovery Center at the State Park, the inflatable water park, and the list goes on. On the website, it lists a hot tub as one of the amenities. There is a jetted tub in the master bath but no hot tub. This is misleading and should be corrected. It was a warm week and the air conditioning was great. We plan to stay in the same house next year.

Disappointed !!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental was ant infested. Taylor-Made rental management company did offer to bring ant poison for us to put out. We rented this home because it was on the lake with private dock for our boat. The private dock was covered with bird feces everywhere!!!! So our first day of our vacation was spent cleaning the dock and trying to remove as many ants as we could from the house. Extremely disappointed with this experience. Wish I was allowed to give this a zero star review, one star is way to much!! Brian S.

Great Thanksgiving getaway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had great time in Sunrise house over the Thanksgiving break. Location is amazing right on the lake and away from main roads. Deer came every day to graze on grass by the house. House itself is kept in immaculate condition. Very clean and very well stocked with anything a large family may need. Large windows let tons of natural light in, just perfect.

Perfect Family Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Three generations had a relaxing stay at Sunrise. A variety of activities kept us occupied: whitewater rafting, ropes course, and mountain coaster at Wisp; picnics at State parks; swimming and playing pool at Blakeslee Community building; fishing and canoeing off the dock; fun and games in the great room; watching deer and turkey on lawn: wow! Taylormade staff responded to issues with hornets and DVD player promptly.

Sunrise - July 2017

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great time at secluded lake front property on the southern end of the lake. Situated on a quiet cove that provided safe swimming atmosphere for kids and allowed for enjoyable experiences on the water. Very clean property with a nice deck and yard. Only minor complaint; can't see the lake from the house. Possible for owners to trim back brush and smaller trees so you can enjoy the lake? That would add great ambience to a cool spot.

However, there is a buffer strip around the lake that is owned by the state. It is possible that the trees are located there and are not permitted to be removed. Great Long Weekend...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sunrise is a lovely, well-located and equipped home for a Deep Creek vacation. We stayed with friends over a long weekend. The house is quiet, well-removed from its neighboring properties and an easy ten minute drive to grocery and shopping for supplies. The community pool was a great way to spend a rainy day too - the kids loved it!

Nice house and property, except for lakefront area

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was well equipped and clean, although it needs A/C in the summer as the upstairs get very hot and has poor ventilation. The property was secluded and a very natural setting. However, it does not have a great lakefront area as the docks needed some attention and its located on a marsh. Because of this the lakefront was muddy, filled with geese droppings and feathers and seaweed. So while its a very natural setting, the lakefront is very shallow, filled with seaweed, and generally unpleasant for swimming off the dock. Overall a nice and secluded property, but be aware of the lakefront setting.

Sunrise Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were quite shocked to learn that this rental does not have air conditioning! And the person that checked us in was not very professional in the way he handled letting us know. He said there was nothing he could do because all their other places were booked. We managed through the week because all the windows and door opened, and there were plenty of fans, but it was not a pleasant experience. We just felt that was information we'd like to have known up front more explicitly instead of through omission. The house itself was lovely, in a great location, and pretty clean (except the carpets). The children's beds don't have box springs which made it really uncomfortable for adults who had to share that room. The coffee pot spout was cracked. The oven didn't work--and I pre-made dinners that required the oven to reheat! Which was probably better that we didn't use the oven because the house would have gotten even hotter! The goose droppings on the pier were gross, which I know is hard to control, but there has to be a better way to manage keeping them off the pier. The rest of the wildlife was cool, with all the deer and turkey that live in the area. Fortunate for us, we didn't see any black bears!

Perfect family hideaway with room to spread out and enjoy nature

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 8 (3 generations: 5 adults, 2 schoolage children, one baby) chose well in Sunrise. We enjoyed the privacy and the beauty of the location. We were visited by deer, wild turkey, and even a bear! We used the pool and recreation facilities. The dock was perfect for fishing (no fish though)and launching paddleboard and kayak. The house was in great condition and afforded privacy for 3 families. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. We enjoyed being a short ride from activity of many body of lake. DOWNSIDE: water and dock look pristine in photo. NOT SO! We had to swab deck to clean off goose droppings constantly. Geese in this shallow inlet fouled the water. Swimming was unpleasant because of shallow bottom and probably not safe because of foul water. We swam elsewhere!

REST and RELAXATION

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the short drive... the wonderful house.. the beautiful scenery.. so glad we rented the boat. The weather could have been better. And I wish I would have notice the house did not have air. The kids room was unbearable. This skylights made it TOO HOT and TOO LIGHT. Could not get them to sleep plus two adults slept in there. That was my fault I will not assume next time..

We do have several properties that do not have air conditioning due to the mountainous area, however, we also have days that are a little warmer than we are used to.
