Highly recommend, it was better than I had imagined. We arrived later than planned and Janette had the fire on for when we arrived. Amazing communication from Janette the whole time we were there. Would certainly be booking again.

Exceptionally nice accomodation in quiet rural area. Large, well appointed two bedroom cottage. Everything comfortable and spotless. Large, fully equipped kitchen, log fire, gas hobs, full sized fridge/freezer, comfortable beds. Friendly host. Highly recommended

Simply superb. Excellent quiet, convenient location a short drive from Oxford with its supermarket and small high street. Plenty of options to walk at the seaside, the mountain tracks or visit Christchurch. Property is well equipped with the lovely host plus family and animals living next door. Recommended.

Wonderful spot in rural inland Canterbury

Tons of space and all amenities make this house a wonderful place to stay. A very pleasant rural spot with nice mountain outlook. Friendly and very helpful owner. The house is immaculate and has everything needed for stay of any duration. Oxford township (restaurants, bars & galleries) is close, as is the Waimakariri Gorge. All up a great stay.

Country Living

We enjoyed this VRBO. It is in an idyllic country setting. So peaceful and relaxing. Janette was a fabulous host. The property is exactly as described and was spotlessly clean. We highly recommend it.

A quaint self contained and well positioned cottage that allows immersion into country life with steers over the fence and chooks running around - great for a bit of entertainment! Obviously a well loved home which was very clean and comfortable. Very quiet and comfortable sleep.

Absolutely perfect getaway with everything you'd need

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and regret we couldn't extend our stay there. We will definitely stay here again in the future if we happen to be in the area. It was clean, cozy and well kept and organized. The homeowners are super friendly and the small town of Oxford is just minutes away. This is a modern homestead with everything you would need for a perfect getaway. Thank you again for hosting us.

Another Fantastic Stay

This was our second recent stay. Everything was as promised in the listing. The cottage was sparkling clean and Janette and family were welcoming and appreciative we booked again. Fantastic Stay

We stayed on two occasions recently and would rate our stays at six stars.Cottage was everything promised in the listing. Totally set up for cooking and relaxing. It was sparkling clean and nicely decorated. The welcome we received from Janette and her family made us feel special. Great advice on attractions in the area, some fresh free range eggs and the nightly chicken roundup and family ball scrum made us feel at home.Would absolutely stay here again.Jan and Phill

This is a modern, well equipped cottage. Our host, Janette, was friendly and informative. The property is small farm with wandering chooks and even a couple of guinea fowl. It's conveniently located - only 6km from Oxford. There is a great woodburner fire for the cool weather. The extremely well equipped kitchen means self catering is very easy.

Beautiful location

Janette and Simon have a magic little spot with glorious glimpses of mountain ranges. We loved our stay in the cottage. It was so cosy with the wood stove and cooking facilities were great. Perfect location to do what we wanted which is walk in the forests and view the mountains. Oxford is a lovely town for coffee and meals. Great Art Gallery there. Good supermarket.

Very warm and tidy.

Lovely hosts and Cottage. Will be even better when there is perhaps some privacy screening from the main house and maybe some outdoor seating.
