Shawn is a great guy and we hope he returns. Karen and I travel quite a bit and it is hard to come by useful information about the area, sights, things to do, etc. and we work hard to make sure our guests get a helpful leg up with the hope it enhances their Hill Country vacation. Thank you so much for choosing us for your mini vacation as we know you have options. We loved the “vibe” so much we bought the property and enjoy sharing it with others. Sitting on either deck and watching the deer cross over to the lake front never ceases to amaze us. A fire under starlight visiting with friends is so relaxing! Next time consider cruising the lake in our pontoon boat. It is one of the best ways to see the lake and enjoy the Texas Hill Country. Please come again! We so appreciate your trusting us with your Ladies Weekend. We only want Happy Guests and will do all we can to reach and maintain that goal one visitor at a time. The "fuzz" you saw on the siding happens a couple of times per year as some night time ONLY insects visit the area. It is good news that cycle ended last week. We will have the exterior power washed. Although sometimes I am tempted to leave it alone as in a strange way it looks beautiful way. We have deer year round and they cross our property daily. Beautiful sight for sure. Every now again we see Road Runners and small foxes touring the area. A few street over a few property owners have Peacocks! The beauty of nature abounds! Pat I know and appreciate what you meant by "the quieter side of the lake." We love that private feeling as well. Having the grocery store less than 6 miles off and the gas and pharmacy less than two miles away along with the EMS/Fire station gives us the best of all possible worlds. We know you enjoyed the location as you are considering buying a home nearby. Canyon Lake is the best lake in Texas! Next time we can take out one of our boats and show you more of the area from the water. Ross and Karen Katy, TX

Karen and I appreciate you and your 5 star review. We only want happy guests. The area is quiet but live music is all around us. Thursday we attended an outdoor concert 20 minutes away. The band was George Strait’s traveling band who just wrapped up at Texas A&M and the largest concert stage in US history. Last night (Friday) and tonight we attended two more free outdoor events each less than 15 minutes from our door. Whitewater theater is 9 miles away and has top acts year round. Willie plays there about a dozen tines per year. It is hard to believe there is so much going on when you sit on one of our two level decks taking in a clear night sky listening to only the sounds of nature. Many folks are surprised to know our night sky is one of the most beautiful in Texas. Please come again the deer miss you. Even the local grocery store has free outdoor evening concerts!

Tina, Karen and I thank you for coming by and we too like the "Key West" vib of the unit. It fits with the lake and hill country setting.
