Gorgeous house steps from the water, with all the amenities you could want!
This property is really something special. Laurie and her family were gracious enough to open up their immaculate home to virtual strangers, and I am so thankful for it! I planned a surprise 40th birthday trip for my husband and several of our friends and we couldn't have picked a better location. Gig harbor is a beautiful town with a quaint harbor area and just enough around to make it a true vacation, but without the chaos and traffic of a bigger city. The home was very easy to find, although it feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. One night I made dinner for 12 and it was very easy in their well-equipped kitchen, and all of us were able to sit in the dining area (there were plenty of plates, utensils, napkins, and even placemats). The patio has a fire pit table and white lights - a perfect spot for socializing and playing one of the many games they have available to use. The guys stayed up late to use the awesome game room which has a big screen tv, pool table and more. The mornings were enjoyed in the backyard drinking coffee, listening to the birds (there's a lot of wildlife in the area), and eating berries from the dozens of bushes. The house is immaculately clean and maintained and feels like home with comfortable beds, ample couches, and tasteful décor. We visited Kopachuck State Park a couple of times and saw huge slugs, more berries, deer, and some people clamming in the early morning. My husband and I hope to visit the area again with our kids and will look for this home first! I hope Laurie and her family continue renting their home on VRBO. Maybe then we can take advantage of the bikes and kayaks!
