Such a beautiful historic home in Cain City. Not too far from the big city and you get the quiet and serenity of the country living. We loved this house and enjoyed our mornings watching the wildlife around the property! We will be back the next time we are up in this lovely area.

Overall good. The trash can outside was full, so full that trash was visible with the lid being open. And that was visible where you walk in to the place. There was no shampoo - only conditioner and soap.

Great place to stay!

My brother's wedding was about 1.5 miles away at Camp Hideaway, and I stayed here with my daughter and son-in-law for the weekend. The house is lovely, well decorated, presented and cared for with period furnishings. The kitchen was well equipped, though I couldn't find salt and pepper shakers -- just a container of salt that I gently used to season our eggs. The beds were lovely and comfortable. The outdoor trash bin was full when I got there but not a problem -- I took home our trash, recycling and organic materials for composting. The air conditioning system worked well. The bathroom is lovely. The antique bathtub, converted to a shower, had really good hot water but is not ideal from someone who's elderly or disabled. Overall, I would stay there again for a nice getaway. There also is a similar house next door that can be rented, great for a small group gathering with side-by-side rentals.

Very cute house with spacious back yard! The house is very comforting and had cute little decorative rooms. It would be a cute place for a girls trip! I enjoyed my stay and the host were responsive.

We enjoyed our stay here! Nice screened porch to enjoy morning coffee and watch deer. Close enough to town but good to be away from the traffic.

Couples Weekend

We ended up staying a weekend with a cold front and we got to enjoy the fire pit outside with wood provided! Instructions were clear and house was cozy. Would stay again!

Cottage in the Country

Attractive, comfortable cottage in the quiet of the country, surrounded by pretty pastures and wildlife, yet only a short distance to Fredericksburg. The historic house was very clean and furnished with cozy touches and beautiful antiques. Would love to stay again!

The house was in a great location to Main Street in Fredericksburg to Luckenbach. Great view of the hills, Cute older farmhouse. Few minor things wrong. The tub had hair in it, toilet could use a pumice stone scrubbing.Understanding this is an old house. Overall had a peaceful weekend.

Lovely Cottage

This cottage was wonderful for our weekend stay in Fredericksburg. The cottage is centrally located from wineries and downtown Fredericksburg. The cottage is very well kept and has all the essentials, central AC is a big bonus in the Texas heat! Would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Beautiful views!

Absolutely loved the Hill Cottage! It rained on Saturday night and the views of the lightning in the distance were amazing! There's nothing better than sitting on the porch with a glass of wine and watching Mother Nature. We had a great experience!

Music in Luckenbach

Great location and quaint quiet place. We were gone majority of the time out in Fredericksburg Friday night then in Luckenbach all day. Location is great in the sense that we were easily able to get an Uber there and back. It was an all day festival so we didn’t want to risk having fun then having to drive on unfamiliar roads. All and all cute and comfy place.

It is a cozy cottage to stay in. I would rather sit on the back porch and watch the deer than go in to town and fight the crowds of "different" people that are taking over Fredericksburg.
