We came here for my daughters 10th bday. We had to check in at an office on the way to the house and received a nice little goody bag which included a bottle of wine. Yes, the walk from the parking lot is VERY LONG and we had a lot of stuff so that sucked. Yes, the views are stunning! The hot tub is right outside the front door and it over looks the lake and the sunset. The house is laid out funky. Bottom floor is a bedroom, next floor...a bedroom....next floor...a bedroom...4th floor is living space and lastly, top floor is the kitchen. Kitchen has been updated and does not match the rest of the home. It is also hot up there and there is no cross breeze. Several outlets did not work. Lots of kitchen supplies, pots, pans, bowls, glass wear, silver wear, coffee maker, a Keurig and what not. The living space has an amazing deck that overlooks the lake. I wish they would put a nice patio set out there. Just some camping chairs for now. Rooms were spacious and comfy and the shower was amazing! BUT...bottom bunk of the 2nd story room smelled strongly of urine. There was a cot and a blow up mattress which we used because no one wanted to sleep on the "pee bed". The Bear Room does not have an entrance from inside the house which was unfortunate. Its located downstairs from the hot tub and you need a key to get in each time. For those of you bringing your dog/s...we were told at check in that the neighbor is afraid of dogs so if they are outside they must be on a leash at all times. Also...there isn't much of a space for them to relieve themselves. The space that is there...right next to the hot tub, is mostly rocks and there was some broken glass laying around. So, yes, this place had amazing views and other than the pee bed, it was clean and comfortable. Note...no AC. I agree with what another reviewer wrote, it was too expensive. The fee from the owner AND Lake Tahoe Accommodations was outrageous and I would not pay that amount again to stay here BUT...it was nice while it lasted.
