Diese dreistöckige Schönheit mit 6 Schlafzimmern liegt direkt am Ufer des Michigansees. Das offene Wohn- / Esszimmer ist geräumig und verfügt über Ledersofas vor dem Kamin und einen 42-Zoll-Flachbildfernseher / DVD-Player.

Die Holzmöbel im gesamten Haus tragen zum Urlaubsgefühl bei. Ein massiver Esstisch aus Kiefernholz mit 8 Sitzplätzen und 4 Hocker aus Kiefernholz an der Granittheke bieten ausreichend Platz für das Abendessen. Darüber hinaus verfügt der Wohnbereich im Erdgeschoss über einen kabinenartigen Tisch und Stühle, die bei Bedarf in den Essbereich im Obergeschoss passen und perfekt für Kinder geeignet sind.

Die Küchengeräte bestehen aus Edelstahl und die Arbeitsplatten aus Granit. Es gibt eine Mikrowelle, einen Backofen, einen Geschirrspüler, einen Kühlschrank mit Eismaschine, eine Kaffeekanne und eine elektrische Teekanne. Zusätzlich stehen ein Zentralstaubsauger sowie eine Waschmaschine und ein Trockner zur Verfügung.

WLAN und Kabel-TV sind ebenso vorhanden wie ein Festnetztelefonsystem. Die Mischung aus Kiefernholz und verputzten Wänden im ganzen Haus trägt zur Schönheit bei. Die Gipsdecken sind ein dekoratives Kunstwerk. Unsere 3 1/2 Badezimmer verfügen über zwei mit Dusche, eines mit Badewanne und Dusche und eine halbe Badewanne im Erdgeschoss. Vier der Schlafzimmer verfügen über Wand-Flachbildfernseher. Die Schlafzimmer im zweiten Stock verfügen über zwei mit Queensize-Blockbetten und eines mit Full-Size-Etagenbetten. Die dritte Etage ist ein offenes Konzeptschlafzimmer, das sich perfekt für eine Gruppe von Jugendlichen eignet. Dieser Bereich verfügt über zwei Queen-Blockbetten, zwei Einzelbetten und ein großes Futonbett. Im Untergeschoss befinden sich zwei schöne Schlafzimmer, jedes mit Queen-Size-Holzbetten. Diese Zimmer öffnen sich zu einem Gemeinschaftsraum mit einem eigenen TV und einem Wii-Spielesystem sowie einem eigenen Bad mit Dusche.

Das Haus verfügt über Heizung und zentrale Luft sowie Schiebetüren in zwei der Meister im zweiten Stock, die jeweils auf einen eigenen Balkon führen, der perfekt für den Morgenkaffee oder den Sonnenuntergang über dem wunderschönen Michigansee ist. Die Feuerstelle hat neun hölzerne Adirondack-Stühle und der Parkplatz bietet Platz für vier (4) Autos.

Family of 6 kids and 8 adults fit really well. House was even nicer than it’s appeared in photos, plenty of kitchen supplies, and great outdoor seating. We did expect beach access at the house, but it was instead a flight of steps that went directly into the water. Thankfully a beautiful beach access was a 5 minute walk down the road.

Beautiful lake view and sunsets! This property is a great place for families to unwind, relax and gather. The 2nd floor bedrooms facing the water are my favorites. The kids can watch the stars from the 3rd floor window. It does get alot warmer on the 3rd floor but they have already provided an extra fan in the room. The kitchen was well equiped for cooking with large groups. The open concept of kitchen, dining and living area facing the water is really a plus. They have a nice firepit in the backyard. Wish we could have used it but unfortunately it rained on the night we planned on doing a bonfire. There's stairs going down to the water which is about 2 feet deep, better for big kids, adults and teens. Then just a few minutes walk south will take you to a nice beach perfect for setting up umbrellas and chairs and plenty of beach for kids to safely play in. Bonus: picnic tables are available on the beach

Panoramic Views

From the top floor, the view of Lake Michigan truly makes you feel like you’re on a cruise ship because all you see is water. The home was perfectly laid out for our big group so couples could each have their own room to recharge in. The beach just down the dirt road is outrageously beautiful with plenty of space for everyone. We loved our time here and would absolutely stay again!

60th Anniversary Celebration

We booked this home to celebrate my parents' 60th anniversary. There was plenty of space for our family of eleven to gather. The house is lovely, with amazing views. It is well-appointed. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware. Check-in was easy, and communication with the host was good. I highly recommend this property.

Outstanding sunsets

We had a big group and the house was a perfect fit. We really enjoyed waking up and sitting out back with our coffee with the amazing views of Lake Michigan. My favorite part was gathering around the fire every night after watching amazing sunsets and gazing up at the stars. The beach was great, just a short walk from the house. We took our jeep onto the sand dunes.

Great time with friends at the Lake House

Loved the space at the Lake House! There were so many beds, and separate rooms for privacy. The location on the lake was spectacular and we enjoyed listening to the waves as we fell asleep. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Jim was an excellent host, and we all agreed we would come back if we had the opportunity.

Biannual Family Reunion

The house and location were perfect for our family reunion. The week's stay was relaxing as we sat looking out over Lake Michigan, walking on the nearby beach, or watching the dune buggies navigate the Dunes. Other than the food we prepared and enjoyed, the house had everything we needed (except there was a shortage of toilet paper). Cell service in the area was limited and we needed the house WiFi, which had limited range, for calls and data. The owner quickly responded to any of our questions The house is well located for viewing great sunsets. If only the western clouds had cooperated. JBW

Perfect for Lake Lovers

Our family group of fifteen agreed that having a house right on the lake was the very best part of our stay. The house was clean and laid out well for a large group, but for us the location was the thing we most enjoyed. We loved listening to the waves, enjoying coffee on the deck, amazing sunsets and campfires under the stars. The path down to the beach was just a short walk down the road. We also enjoyed our favorite activities in nearby Silver Lake, Pentwater and Ludington. We would be very happy to come back to this property in the future. A note about the parking - we were able to park four cars at the property. The grandkids parked at the Park and Ride by 131 in Hart without any problem.

Grand Lake Front View

We had a small family reunion over a long weekend, and this house was perfect for our family! Let me just say that the pictures don’t do this home justice, it’s more beautiful and bigger than we expected! There is a good size yard beyond a deck where we could play yard games and have campfires. It is close to the ORV area at Silver Lake Sand Dunes, and we loved being able to walk down to the beach parking area to switch out riders on the utv we brought. We managed to park three pick up trucks and the utv trailer in the parking area right in front of the house. Our fourth vehicle was at the park n ride right off the freeway not far from the house. We had small children with us and the short walk down the road and down the path to the beach for playtime in the sand was easy enough for us to manage. We had a few magnificent sunsets to watch and absolutely loved the lake view!

Vacay

The cottage beach access was impossible 200 yards on the road and another 100 yards on the beach cause area was blocked off for bird sanctuary. You couldn’t even drive a car and drop off chairs, umbrellas etc. so we ended up going to a public beach. We had little children and it was too difficult. Cottage is lovely has beautiful lake views just no easy beach access.

Wonderful home

We rent a few times a year for large family get together. This home was one of our favorites. Very clean and comfortable. Views were remarkable. Not any beach as Lake Michigan high this year but we were told in advance so not an issue. The beach at the end of the road was perfect for everyone. The golf cart came in handy thanks for making it available. Jim was very accommodating and a phone call away the one time we had a question. The upper floor was perfect for grandchildren to have quiet time as well movie time. No one was ready to go. We all look forward to summer vacation at the Beach House as we fondly named it. Great Family Vacation!

We enjoyed this wonderful home for our 3 generation family vacation. The layout was perfect to accommodate quiet and private sleeping areas for little grandchildren and adults alike on 3 levels, a large open kitchen/ gathering/living/dining space on a separate level, and a beautiful backyard where we spent most evenings watching the beautiful sunsets over Lake Michigan and visiting around the campfire. We enjoyed many activities in the surrounding area: golfing, cycling, climbing dunes, flying kites, swimming, touring the Country Dairy farm, and a day trip to Traverse City area. A few negatives we experienced were many of the beds were too soft for our liking, and the recent erosion of the area lake shore made the association beach inaccessible. We were able to swim off the back steps leading down to the water, but to enjoy a beach for walking, wading into, or playing in the sand, we had to drive offsite. Overall, we really enjoyed and appreciated all the comforts and amenities of this wonderful home and would highly recommend it!

A Great Place on a Great Lake.

This house was clean and roomy. The lake views from the main floor and 3 of the 5 bedrooms were awesome. The back porch, grill, fire pit and lawn work nicely together accented by an unobstructed and expansive view of Lake Michigan. The sunsets were simply spectacular and drew a crowd each evening followed by fun around the fire pit. Beach access is good and only about 500 paces from the house which makes for an easy walk. The golf cart makes that a quick piece of cake. The cart is also a way to settle down the little ones before bedtime. Silver Lake and all its attractions is a short drive. If there is a drawback it is the sound of the dune buggies running within view of the beach. Then again, that fades into the background and Lake Michigan works it's magic. All in all we got a thumbs up from our whole crew. We gave this property all 5 starts except for the location and neighborhood category. We gave that a 4 only because of the noise from the ORV park. In general though, the location is great as there is easy access to a stretch of the coastline that is full of things to do.

To be honest

This was a girls trip - ages 21 through 81. We chose this property because from the reviews and photos online it looked perfect. The golf cart that was advertised was a selling point. However, when we arrived - no golf cart. The owner did not tell us this before we arrived even though he knew the ages of our group. I had to contact him and ask before he said it was in the shop for repairs. He offered no alternative. No water access despite the photo on the listing showing a stairway to the water. The beach access is down the road and has a very steep incline to reach it. Not possible for the older ladies in the house to reach. House was full of gnats and fruit flies. It was horrible. Many windows did not open and many screens had holes in them or were patched. Doorwall to the deck needed to be replaced as it was falling off the track. Kitchen table was sticky. Furniture was worn and the recliner even had duct tape holding the handle together. One of the heating/cooling vents on the floor was sunken down about 2 inches - a trip hazard for sure. Camera on the outside of the house and a device in the kitchen which we found recorded "volume" in the house. We were not comfortable with either of these. Firepit was full and hadn't been cleaned in some time. I contacted the owner and explained my concerns before writing this review. His reply was that he lived 3 hours away, will get in touch with cleaning crew and offered to refund a small amount for the golf cart. After thinking about this, I decided to the HONEST about the rental as I wished the owner should have been. We paid a lot of money for this rental and are not happy. Basically ruined what should have been a nice, relaxing weekend.

We are a large family who spent many years camping at Lake Michigan as our three children were growing up. Some of our very best memories include the sand and waves of Lake Michigan. Now the time we spend here includes our many grandchildren, friends and extended family as well and we are still making wonderful memories.

We are right on Lake Michigan. Beautiful sunsets. Sounds of waves putting you to sleep each night. Being right on the lake we anticipate installing stairs by July 2025 right into the water for easy access. These stairs will be on our property and the two adjoining cottages will be allowed to use these stairs. Beach access is 150 yards away with a rope-handrail walkway at the end of the road. Access to our private sand dunes is a short walk away. If you are VERY lucky, seeing the northern lights toward the north over Lake Michigan could be a part of your visit. And if you are not afraid of the dark, viewing the stars from the top of the dunes is incredible.
