Tolles Ferienhaus am Hood Canal in Lilliwaup Bay! Unglaubliche 180-Grad-Blick auf den Kanal von fast jedem Zimmer im Haus. Tolles Kajakfahren direkt vom Privatstrand (drei Kajaks und zwei Ruderboote und Schwimmwesten zur zusätzlichen Nutzung durch die Gäste). Fast 100 'von privaten Low-Bank-Ufer und Watt. Am Strand gibt es reichlich Austern und in der Nähe gibt es gute Muschelgrabungen. Die Bucht ist die Heimat von Weißkopfseeadlern, zahlreichen Arten von Wasservögeln, Blue Heron, King Fishers, wandernden und ansässigen Lachsen (King, Silver, Chum), Robben, Seelöwen, Ottern und gelegentlich Orcas.

Das entspannende Haus befindet sich auf einem riesigen Grundstück abseits der Autobahn 101 und bietet so eine außergewöhnliche Privatsphäre und Ruhe im Vergleich zu anderen Canal-Eigenschaften. Eine große Terrasse mit Blick auf das Wasser ist mit einem Gasgrill ausgestattet. Zusätzlich befindet sich im Wasser eine Feuerstelle für Lagerfeuer und / oder Grillen.

Das Haus wurde 2008 erbaut und verfügt über moderne Annehmlichkeiten wie Granit-Arbeitsplatten, einen Gaskamin aus Stein, 50-Zoll- und 43-Zoll-HD-Kabel-TV mit DVR, einen Blue Ray-DVD-Player, Highspeed-Internet und eine moderne, voll ausgestattete Küche. Das Haus ist ein Lindal Cedar Home und während es alle modernen Annehmlichkeiten hat, hat es auch eine charmante rustikale Atmosphäre. Großartige Aussicht von fast jedem Zimmer einschließlich der oberen Loft-Master-Schlafzimmer.
Beide Schlafzimmer sind mit einem Doppelbett ausgestattet. Darüber hinaus verfügt das Schlafzimmer über ein Futon. Ein tragbarer Twin XL ist ebenfalls verfügbar.

Amazing!

This is a stunner property. Everything is there for u to enjoy. We even locked ourselves out and the owner came and kindly unlocked the house for us. The view and accomodations were outstanding and we will for sure be back! Our only recommendation is bring slippers because the main floor has cement floors that are beautiful but cold on bare feet.

A Gem Nestled on the Bay

From the quality of the home to the stunning views of the water, you can’t pass up the opportunity to stay here! Views abound from every vantage point. Kids will love the pea gravel beach and lots of entertainment options with row boats, kayaks, and swimming when it’s warm. We can’t say enough about this wonderful place! As with most waterfront homes this is tucked up next to the neighbors but zero noise pollution and/or highway noise.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We enjoyed the kayaking, exploring the oyster bed during low tide, and the incredible view. Jay is very thoughtful with everything provided at the rental. We also appreciated the handwritten welcome card and snacks.

Little slice of Heaven...

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Perfect place to unplug, view beautiful scenery and watch the wildlife! Upon walking in I found a lovely welcome note and fresh cut flowers on the table! What a great way to kick off our stay! We really needed a place to unwind and unplug after a very busy 5 months of work, graduation and college planning. And I don't think we could have found a better spot to stay! The home has everything that you need, just like if you were in your own home. The upstairs bedroom is huge and waking up to that view was amazing! We spent a lot of time sitting outside by the fire pit. A little too windy to enjoy the kayaks but there were plenty to choose from. Low and high tide brought out so many animals, I was thankful there were binoculars! Sitting one night I thought I was watching otters in the bay area to the left. Nope, they were a little family of 5 harbor seals! So interesting to watch them dive and feed. They even came around to the front of the property to check us out! Sitting one morning I noticed some large birds across the bay to the left. I thought crows. Nope, they were eagle fledglings with Mom and Dad nearby! We watched them both morning and night. We also watched the seagulls at low tide - they would find a clam, fly up high, and drop it onto the rocky shore to crack it open! We were greeted by a deer the first night outside the kitchen window too! Conveniently located to ONP, grocery and restaurants!

Amazing House and Location!

We were beyond pleased with our stay. Jay was super helpful and responsive, and his home is amazing. We were able to ride Go-Karts at Ridge Motorsports, hike at Olympic National Park (with a stop at Lake Cushman!), ride the railcars at Vance Creek Railriders, and enjoy the kayaks on the property. We had a deer and her baby visit us while we sat at the fire pit, saw seals, a bald eagle and enjoyed a stunning view. I would stay here again without a doubt!!

Such a gem!

Last year, we had one of the best family vacations ever at Jay's place. It"s beautiful, comfortable and well appointed, and location can’t be beat. We had an incredible time exploring area, flora and fauna. Our nine-year-old said that all he wanted to do this summer was go back to the Hood Canal and that we MUST stay at the same place. We did! We had a wonderful stay at this really nice and clean home right on the banks of Hood Canal. We had everything we needed and we’re impressed by the cleanliness. Communication with the owner Jay was quick and easy. It’s quiet and we had a relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

Family Canal week

Jay is an attentive, communicative host. You will NOT find a Hood Canal/Hoodsport home with a better bedroom view! Every morning I woke up to the sunrise over the canal right from the loft. This home is ideal for a romantic getaway for two- just because the master is the loft bedroom & I could communicate clearly with my family downstairs in the kitchen from my bed in the master. That said- we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. We kayaked , cooked, grilled, swam in the canal & at Lake Cushman, napped and played yatzee. I highly recommend Jake’s Hide-a-way Fishing Lodge!

Hood Canal Gem

We had high hopes for our stay at this property and we were NOT disappointed! The view from the house and on the patios is stunning! The weather was ideal for our stay, but if it hadn't been, we would still have been able to enjoy the setting. We took advantage of the well appointed kitchen and patio barbecue to eat in and took a few excursions to nearby scenes, but mostly enjoyed a relaxing time on the property with my 90-year-old mother. There was a little glitch with the access code when we arrived, but Jay had it corrected before I had a chance to contact him. Later in our stay, we accidentally locked ourselves out and Jay was able to help us immediately. Thank you Jay! I can recommend this property without hesitation and will definitely consider booking it again for a relaxing get-away.

Great property in a great location.

Hoods Port is a lovely spot. Easy access from Seattle. Nearby hiking trails and water sports. A couple delightful restaurants. Don’t miss the Oyster Bank. We enjoyed kayaking and just sitting on the patio soaking up the view. The accommodation is perfect for four people. Very open and light. Bring eye shades if you are a late sleeper. There is a Keurig and drip coffee maker but no coffee grinder as listed. Jay is a thoughtful host and provided many of the little things that make for an enjoyable stay.

An amazing getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here. Clean, comfortable and the most amazing location. We came to tour the Olympic Peninsula and had plans for every day but decided to spend a couple or days right here because it was so relaxing and beautiful. I highly recommend this place. Jay is an excellent host.

Cozy Beautiful Cabin

We loved this waterfront cabin located by Hood Canal. When we first entered the cabin we were welcomed with fresh flowers, a note fro the owner, and a lovely fire burning in a beautiful stone fireplace. The cabin was spotless, has a well appointed kitchen with any tool you’ll ever need, and the large loft bedroom with King bed provides a stunning view of Hood Canal. The views downstairs are equally as gorgeous and invite you to enjoy a large yard and the use of a wide variety of water toys. Five stars.

Everything about this little home was well thought out and perfect. Warm and cozy. Very clean and kept up. Comfy beds! Great views, as it’s situated perfectly on the Canal. Off the highway, so it’s also quiet. Plenty of activities to entertain you. Highly recommend.

I am a retired lifelong Northwesterner. I love the great outdoors and many associated activities such as fishing, boating, kayaking, wildlife, golf, skiing, Seattle Mariners, live music.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

I bought the lot in 2007 and built the house in 2008. I was lucky to find this great location and chose it for its amazing views, beach and fishing/boating opportunities! I love the fact that the property is not right on highway 101 (unlike most other waterfront homes on the Canal) which provides for peace and quiet. I have since discovered it is a bird watchers dream (Bald Eagles, Killdeer, NUMEROUS waterfowl, Kingfishers, Blue Heron, etc.....).
