Der Strand ist breit und herrlich wenig überfüllt - ideal für Strandkämme, gemütliche Spaziergänge, Wellenbeobachtungen und Sonnenuntergangsfeiern. Das friedliche Rauschen des Ozeans ist Ihr ständiger Begleiter in dieser Kabine, nur 250 Schritte vom Sand entfernt. Naturliebhaber werden die kaleidoskopische Vielfalt an Vögeln, Streifenhörnchen, Eichhörnchen und anderen Lebewesen, die unser kleines Paradies teilen, zu schätzen wissen.

This is such a lovely and comfortable house. The walk to the beach is so pretty with the flowers and the trees. It is very private even though there are other houses close. The beds were super comfortable and everything was very clean. I contacted the owners about some questions and they were so responsive and kind. We really enjoyed our time at the beach and we were close to the different coast cities so getting around was super easy and convenient.

A Private Beach!

Unique, comfortable, accurately priced for the summer season. Three adult women were a perfect sized party. The property itself is truly special. We walked on an empty beach every morning and evening. The trail to the beach was easy enough and somewhat magical. I hope to return.

Beautiful property

Lovely property with a short little walk over a sweet bridge, through a magical forest, past a great fire pit next to a picnic table, to the ocean in front of the iconic Twin Rocks. The home was extremely comfortable (the beds too!) My daughter, SIL, 8 year old grandson and I had a wonderful time making memories. The chipmunk was especially a hit with the grandson - as well as a deer that wandered onto the property.

House on beach

Location was nice. Walk outdoors down the short path to the 7 mile uncrowded beach. Beds were little firm. They provided bird seed and had multiple varieties of birds and chipmunks out the back door. The house was large enough for our family of 4. Close to everything less than an hour drive to cannon beach and state parks. Creamery down the road. Bunnies at Cannon beach. Best tidepooling 3 minutes south of house below the railroad tracks. Sliding glass doors need work and screens on back door.

Sweet vacation cottage

Our family had the best time! Location was great; quiet driveway but just close enough to Tillamook and downtown Rockaway in case we needed anything. Best part was the property and private trail to the beach. The house had everything we needed! We hope to stay here again in the future.

Comfortable, serene, inviting

Just an absolute gem of a location. Quiet, cozy home in a fantastic setting. The access to the grounds, firepit and beach make this an amazing draw. The owners were great to work with. This is well worth it for anyone who is looking for a chill getaway at the coast.

Nice stay near the beach

A smaller house by the beach. We had a nice garden lot behind the house, the owners had lots of notes about local flora and fauna. An easy drive to Rockaway (3-5min). Owners were very responsive. Kitchen had the std things you’d need for basic meal prep.

Perfect escape

We had a lovely weekend with our daughter and her family, including two small grandchildren. It was the perfect spot! The kids loved watching birds and finding slugs—they enjoyed the property almost as much as the beach (which was conveniently very close). The adults enjoyed all that too, as well as a well-equipped vacation kitchen, comfortable beds, and a cozy living room to hang out in for games and reading…

Peaceful getaway

My family and I came up to visit my sister who has moved to Rockaway. This was a perfect central location to be able to go and check out so many locations. The home was a quaint little cottage and worked out very well for our stay. And talk about an incredible location! Just moments to a fairly quiet beach. I'm missing Oregon already and would definitely stay here again.

Ocean & Wildlife Heaven

This was our 2nd visit. The property is lovely, beautifully landscaped and easy, quick access to the beautiful wide beach. The house was very clean and the kitchen was nicely stocked. Sounds from the highway died down at night leaving only ocean sounds. Loved the variety of birds and adorable chipmunks that visited. Owners are always responsive and helpful.

Dreamy bird and plant oasis!

My friend and I had such a lovely stay at this warm, welcoming home! The house had everything we needed, and a few things we didn't realize we needed until we arrived (jigsaw puzzles! bird identification guides!), and is surrounded by the most beautiful, mostly native garden. It's a short walk to the beach, which we had mostly to ourselves every time we visited, and when we returned to the house, it was so nice to sit on the deck and watch all the birds and chipmunks frolic while we sorted our beach treasures. Highly recommend this spot, and will definitely return in the future if they continue to rent it out. Thank you so much, Neal and Ida, for sharing your lovely home with us!

Great time all around

This property has three distinct zones between the cabin and the water. There is a yard and gardens, a woodland with a camp fire pit and then the beautiful beach. You stroll through all three zones on your way. It was nice to be able to come off the beach, walk through the trees, the gardens, spray off in the yard and relax on the porch. We really enjoyed all the bird, deer and chipmunk activity. Morning coffee sitting on the logs on the top of the dune before the beach each morning was a plus. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary cooking utensils for meal prep with a full sized oven and refrigerator. The whole family definitely enjoyed the stay. The owners were very helpful and provided extra travel instructions and tips on activities. We would stay at The Cabin on Strawberry Lane again. Thanks for the great week.

a great girlfriends weekend retreat

We had a great time together, and the house added to the fun. It was a cozy and comfortable place. It had everything we needed. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, utensils, etc. The bedrooms were comfortable, everything was clean and accessible. The view was lovely. Access to the beach was close and easy. The back garden was pleasant and green. We loved watching the birds and chipmunks check out the feeder right there by the living room. Our only issue was the wi-fi. Our devices wouldn't connect. We don't know if the wi-fi wasn't connected or we didn't enter the password correctly. We tried multiple times. It wasn't that important to us, so we didn't press it. I highly recommend this house. Very enjoyable. We hope to get to stay there again.

Neal and Ida are both native Oregonains and have always had a connection to the Oregon coast. We are delighted to share our little piece of Paradise with you. Ida, a retired art teacher, is working to re-establish native flora and increase the biodiversity of the property, inviting birds, bees, butterflies and more. We divide our time between Portland and the coast.
