Lake Hartwell !!!! Bringen Sie Ihr Boot mit und genießen Sie ein neu renoviertes Haus am See mit herrlichem Seeblick vom Ferienhaus, abgeschirmter Veranda oder einer großen Terrasse. Genießen Sie ein privates Dock mit Wasser und Strom am Ufer. Der gepflasterte Weg von der Hütte zur Seeseite ist flach mit Lichtern zum Tag- und Nachtfischen. Ruhig und friedlich und doch nur 6 km von Lebensmittelgeschäften und Restaurants entfernt. Dies ist ein älteres Haus, das als Anhänger angefangen hat, mit Ergänzungen versehen wurde und im Mai 2016 renoviert wurde und Sie dazu einlädt, lässig und bequem zu sein. Genießen Sie den See und die überdimensionierte Terrasse mit Tischen, Stühlen, Schaukel und Grill, großer überdachter Veranda mit Stühlen, Waschküche mit Waschmaschine und Trockner. Queen-Size-Bett im Master, Full Size Bett im 2. Schlafzimmer und Tagesbett aus der Küche. Rollbett im 2. Schlafzimmer Schrank. Das Wohnzimmer verfügt über ein Sofa und einen Liebessitz (Doppelschlafsofa) sowie bequeme Stühle. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit einem tragbaren Geschirrspüler, einem großen Esstisch (mit 6 Stühlen) und 4 Barhockern am Tresen.

The host was extremely nice and great to work with. The only thing that was extremely bad was the host fee rack on to the bill. I was not expecting that since you advertised no hidden fees. This complaint is directed solely to VRBO. I will tell all my friends to beware of this and not do business with VRBO.

Pet-friendly house with convenient access to the lake. We paid to use the boat launch at the Springfield RV park across the lake from the house. We found it to be more convenient to drive across the lake. The house is older but clean and contained all basic amenities for a reasonable nightly rate. Friendly neighbors, quiet neighborhood.

This house is just what i would want for my lake house. Clean and well decorated, nice screened porch and deck with cover boat deck. This time of year it was quiet and relaxing.

So we made the trip in winter, and overall enjoyed the house and area. The temps were down into the teens at night, maybe 40's during the day. There were some space heaters provided to help warm the house but we found that it put a strain on the entire electrical system and we had to reset the circuit breaks many times as they kept popping, and at night, 15 degree weather is no fun venturing out into to reset circuit breakers.The house itself was ok, as others have noted the floors have a few "soft" spots, seems the house leans a bit, and to us it was a bit cluttered, don't need 4-6 table lamps and ceiling lights for such small rooms. Also, we found cat hair throughout, we love our furry friends, but thankfully we aren't allergic to cats.For a few days it was nice and gave us a place to stay while we did our other business.

I am so sorry that your stay fell on an unprecedented cold snap, we did offer to have our handyman come over to reset the breaker the 2 times this happened but you only notified us after the fact. You were financially compensated for the inconvenience, we apologized and offered to refund your stay if you wanted to leave so I’m unsure what else I could have done to accommodate you. Thank you for the decorating advice I’ll take a look at it as soon as possible. I do apologize if you found pet hair we will do another deep cleaning to remedy that asap.

Such a pleasant stay

Our time at escaping reality was so relaxing and peaceful. Watching the deer pass through the yard during a beautiful sunrise so enjoyable. Had everything we needed. Nice yard for the dogs too.

May Lake Hartwell Fishing Trip

Lucky to find a reasonable and clean property that met mine and my brethren's expectations for lodging during our weeklong bass fishing tournament. We have simple needs - place to sleep, eat, and clean up after a long day on the lake. Thank you for having this VRBO listing available to us.

Just right

Husband temporarily transferred to Anderson - this allowed me to travel with our dogs and stay with him - we enjoyed our time in the evenings - on our PWC or swimming in the lake - This home maybe no the newest or fanciest but it was just what we needed and it was very clean - you could tell the host cared.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm not sure I understood the monsoon season comment or the GPS???? I don't control the weather.... I arrived right after your stay and didn't see anything amiss. The cottage address does come up on my phone GPS and I send detailed directions to guest. I heard no comments or concerns during your stay so there was really nothing I could change to make you happy. I guess the need for update is relative. Fresh paint, new floors and fresh linens were done summer of 2016. My description of rustic, comfortable with a great private dock is accurate. My pictures speak for themselves. Thanks. Laura

We enjoyed 5 days relaxing on the lake. Our pups really enjoyed playing in the water (too cold for us though) and the fenced yard. It was great to be able to dock our boat. Deer passing through the yard in the evening as we sat by the fire. Definitely an "escape from reality".

Lakeside Getaway

We were looking for a countryside lake getaway that would accept pets to enjoy some hiking, kayaking and fishing. The property did not disappoint. Nice fenced in front yard for the pet, great back deck with a view through some woods to the lake and private dock available for your use. Check in was easy. The mgmt. was responsive. The only complaint we had was the furniture was not conducive for comfort with persons having back issues. Low sitting, soft sofas. Soft mattresses.

Bass Masters Classic 2018

We rented this cottage for a long weekend for the Bass Masters Classic 2018 on Lake Hartwell. The inside of the cottage was immaculate and felt homey. Although it did not have new updates it had all the conveniences of home. The negative side we experienced was that as much as the inside was immaculate the outside was not- Trees were fallen over, there is high grass around the property, not a well kept outside appearance. Along with that the outside furniture was not clean and ready to use on our visit; and the dock was not along the bank for us to get on- it was about 3ft out into the water- we would have to wade the water to get on it. This was all very disappointing as this is why we rented this property- to sit on the deck and or the dock to be able to see the Anglers in the tournament if they came to the cove; which we did have several that fished the cove. I am giving the benefit of the doubt that we rented in the middle of transition of seasons and maybe the owners have not done spring clean up for the tenants in the spring and summers seasons. I would recommend this place only if the outside was cleaned up and the dock was accessible.

Melanie, Thank you for the 4 stars! I do apologize for any inconvenience that you had. If you had contacted me during your stay I would have been able to quickly have any issues fixed. Due to the record rains and storms the 4 days prior to your arrival I did have 2 trees downed. Since they were away from the house, drive, path and dock, I thought they would not be an inconvenience and did not want to cancel your stay and ruin your vacation plans. Luckily, docks on Lake Hartwell (any Army Corp property) are mobile and can be easily moved by a local company with no inconvenience to guest. I provide multiple contact numbers or you can always contact HomeAway to rectify any issues you have. Most owners are happy to assist you or fix any problems you may have as long as we know there is a problem. Best of luck and I hope all your future vacations are up to your expectations. Laura

Had a great time.

Property is very nice, house is clean & comfortable. Dock is very stable & great to tie up the boat. Location is very good. Have seen deer everyday on the property or in the area. Many parks around to go hiking. I’m trying to get dates to come back next summer

My family and I live in Atlanta. We loved the quality of the water on Lake Hartwell as well as it's less hectic crowds over our Atlanta area lakes. When we were shopping for water front property we were so happy to find such a great spot less than a 2 hour drive from home for my family to really get away from it all! My dogs both love swimming in the lake as well as going on our boat. The casual cottage and location has made for many great family adventures and our friends love to come hang out as well. For us the cottage is a perfect fit!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

The dock always has water due to it's location in a "green zone"... even in a draught we always have water at our dock. The paved path with lights for night time enjoyment and the fact that the path was flat make getting to the dock easy for my parents when they come to visit. I loved that it was close enough for a weekend get away for all my family scattered throughout the south and that it was an hour drive from Greenville-Spartanburg airport and 2 1/2 hours from Atlanta airport.... so location, location, location! My cottage is 10 minutes off of I-85 at exit 14.
