I am glad you enjoyed your trip and thank you for being our guest. Next time you visit there will be casserole dishes for your use. We try to keep everything you need in the kitchen and that is one that has not come up yet but it's your feedback that helps us make your next stay, as well as others, the best experience possible. Unfortunate situation. Bugs in a short term rental that is consistently exterminated is a big issue and we take is seriously. The guest slept at the house Thursday night with no issue but contacted me Saturday morning via text. I immediately called her and asked her to move to another house (same size) we own on an adjacent property to get them out of harms way as she seemed very concerned in her text. She said maybe they would move later as they were headed out to float the river. This meant to me they were not as concerned as I was. I texted later in the day asking if they had moved as I had another owner from an adjacent property ready to bug bomb the house and spray in the room where they were bitten. Long story short they never moved to the other house but constantly texted and emailed about fleas in the house and how we falsely advertise no pets as they had obviously been there. Telling me what the "flea saliva" had done to her. We don't even bring our dog to the house out of respect for future guests with allergies. This was a case of bed bugs in one bedroom. I slept in the same bed 2 weeks prior and there were no bugs so a guest brought them in during that time. I cannot apologize enough for the situation and told the guest in the initial phone call that they would be getting a substantial refund. I needed to assess the situation to see what that amount would be. The day they checked out my exterminator was there to treat the house. Guests have stayed since and the house is bed bug free. The BBQ grill is an expensive Lyfe Tyme smoker and has been seasoned. I was not aware that the guest broke the dishwasher until reading their review. The water is very hard coming from a water well. We do have a water softener and our property manager makes sure there is always the proper amount of salt in it but it is still very hard. The spots on the silverware are hardwater spots. As for the outside tables I will speak with the cleaning crew as that is not acceptable and I apologize. Unfortunately other houses can be loud later than they should. We have an officer drive the private gated road through the night Thursday-Saturday nights to try to prevent this. If a guest contacts me about this I contact the owner of the house causing the issue and it is taken care of but I did not hear from this guest. Apologies for the loud house but if I don't know I cannot help.
