Vielen Dank

Da wir auf alle FĂ€lle wiederkommen wollen und möglichst wenig Konkurrenz hĂ€tten, sollten wir eine negative Bewertung abgeben. Da dieses aber fĂŒr die unglaublich fĂŒrsorgliche und verbindliche Simonetta ausgesprochen unfair ist, halten wir uns an die 'Wahrheit. Die Wohnungen sind charmant, der Pool wohl temperiert und die 'Ausblicke traumhaft. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt und nette Leute kennengelernt ( Gruß an Krefeld und Köln ). An Simonetta nochmals einen großen Dank fĂŒr die liebevolle Betreuung.

Casa paradiso

Die Vermieterin hatte weder mit Worten noch Fotos ĂŒbertrieben - wir fanden ein unglaublich schön gelegenes Urlaubsparadies! Der weite Blick in die Berge und TĂ€ler, die Ruhe die das Haus umgibt - einfach großartig! Das Haus wurde mit viel Liebe fĂŒrs Detail restauriert und eingerichtet - ein Ort zum WohlfĂŒhlen und Entspannen. Wir empfehlen dieses Haus sowie die Gastgeberin, die uns eine unvergessliche Zeit bescherte, gern an alle ruhesuchenden Italienreisende weiter.

GemĂŒtlich auch im Herbst

Wir hatten die Wohnung Sunrise gebucht vom 15.-22.10.10. Als wir ankamen, war es aber regnerisch und kĂŒhl und die Vermieterin hat uns von sich aus kostenlos die Wohnung Sunset angeboten, weil es da einen Kaminofen gibt, mit dem wir es uns an den kĂŒhlen Abenden schön gemĂŒtlich gemacht haben. Die Wohnung ist zwar etwas abgelegen (am Schluss unbefestigter Weg), aber sehr zu empfehlen: VollstĂ€ndig und liebevoll eingerichtet, Einrichtung und Austattung wie beschrieben, alles sauber und ordentlich und funktionsfĂ€hig. Sogar W-LAN konnte ich nutzen, aber nicht in der Wohnung (die dicken NatursteinwĂ€nde schirmen alles ab). (Aber nicht fĂŒr Urlauber ohne Auto geeignet, wie in einem der Kommentare steht.) Wir waren nur zu zweit und hatten ĂŒppig Platz, fĂŒr 4-5 Personen ist die Wohnung optimal. Den Garten konnten wir wegen des Wetters nicht nutzen, er bietet aber viel Platz und viele Möglichkeiten (Grillen, Pool,..) Die Lage ist eher Acqualagna als Cagli, aber das ist eher positiv, weil der Ort einfach "lebendiger" ist (mehr Restaurants...). Die Umgebung bietet viele Möglichkeiten fĂŒr AusflĂŒge (alte StĂ€dte...) Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, wahrscheinlich dann aber im Sommer.

Sommerurlaub im Alba/Sunrise

Wir haben als Familie mit drei Kindern zwei sehr schöne Wochen im Juli im Casa Battista verbracht. Das renovierte Bauernhaus ist ein Traum. Die Lage ist sehr schön. Vom Swimmingpool aus sieht man ĂŒber die ganze Gegend. Der Duft der gemĂ€hten Felder und die weite Sicht ist einzigartig, so dass die Seele sich erholen kann. Das Appartement ist zwar fĂŒr eine fĂŒnfköpfige Familie etwas knapp, aber fĂŒr die Ferien im Sommer absolut in Ordnung. Das Preis-LeistungsverhĂ€ltnis stimmt. Ein sehr freundlicher Angestellter ist immer da, wenn man ein Problem hat. Das Haus hat etwa 8 Wohnungen (gĂŒnstiger oder teurer), die sich gut auf dem Areal verteilen. Kontakte ergeben sich beim Baden am Swimmingpool. Zum Einkaufen geht man mit dem Auto in das nahegelegene Acqualagna. Dort findet man auch gute italienische CafĂ©s, die zum Verweilen einladen. Wir denken sehr gerne an diese Wochen der Ruhe und Erholung zurĂŒck. Danke CaBattista!

Ruhige Lage

Wir haben im Mai im dort gewohnt. Wetter war leider nicht gut, viel Regen, daher realtiv kĂŒhl. Leider wars nix mit der Zentralheizung, es gab nur ein kl. Heizöfchen mit dem wir heizen konnten. KĂŒche war fĂŒr sehr einfach ausgestattet, die beiden Sessel zum sitzen, ziemlich unbequem. Bett/Schlafzimmer war in Ordnung. Bad nicht mit Wanne, nur mit Dusche und auch dort lief der schöne HandtuchwĂ€rmer nicht. Fön, wie in der Beschreibung angegeben, gibts natĂŒrlich nicht, das dachte ich mir schon. Unbedingt Adapter mitnehmen! Es gab fĂŒr jeden 2 große DuschtĂŒcher und 2 HandtĂŒcher, GeschirrtĂŒcher lagen 2 bereit. Fernseher nur mit italienischem Programm, aber DVD-Player ist da. Was uns sehr gestört hat, war in den letzten 2 NĂ€chten der LĂ€rm aus einer Nachbarwohnung. Dort lief die ganze Nacht ein Fernseher. Das zeigt, daß die Wohnungen doch sehr hellhörig sind, die vorherigen NĂ€chte waren wir alleine im Anwesen. Wer eine Allergie gegen Katzen hat oder Tiere nicht mag, sollte dort nicht hin fahren. Mit mehr als 2 Personen, wollte ich in der kleinen Wohnung nicht sein. Das Angebot, in der Nachbarschaft zu essen, sollte man unbedingt wahrnehmen, es wahr sehr lecker und der Preis sagenhaft. Die Wohnungen erreicht man am besten, wenn man ĂŒber Pole fĂ€hrt, dann ist die Straße noch ein gutes StĂŒck geteert. Unser Navi hat uns ab Aqualanga auf einen Feldweg gefĂŒhrt, dort gabs viele Schlaglöcher. Die Besitzerin ist wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit, war aber wĂ€hrend unserer Anwesenheit nur kurz da. FĂŒr unsere BedĂŒrfnisse war es nicht unbedingt perfekt, aber ok.

Ca' Battista, reflet de la tranquillité et de la beauté des Marches.

La situation sur une hauteur de « Ca’ Battista » offre une vue superbe sur les sommets avoisinants, notamment le monte Nerone. Les quelques petites imperfections matĂ©rielles, comme le manque de rangement dans les chambres, sont vite gommĂ©es par la douceur de vivre du lieu. La paix qui se dĂ©gage des collines ondoyantes et les bienfaits des bains dans la vaste piscine garantissent des vraies vacances oĂč le temps est suspendu. Les multiples visites ou balades possibles aux alentours ont satisfait notre curiositĂ© de touristes. Mais le cĂŽtĂ© humain est tout aussi important, et la disponibilitĂ© et la gentillesse de Simonetta ont contribuĂ© Ă  la rĂ©ussite de notre sĂ©jour, sans oublier le chien Pato : l’atmosphĂšre chaleureuse n’a pas Ă©tĂ© seulement due aux tempĂ©ratures exceptionnelles de l’étĂ© ! La posizione panoramica di « Ca’ Battista » offre una vista bellissima sui vertici vicini, specialmente il monte Nerone. Alcuni piccole imperfezioni materiali, come la mancanza di armadio in ogni camera, sono presto cancellate dal dolce vivere del posto. La pace che emana delle colline ondeggianti e il piacere di fare il bagno nella vaste piscina garantiscono vera vacanza in cui il tempo Ăš sospeso. Le numerose visite o escursioni nei dintorni hanno soddisfatto la nostra curiositĂ  di turisti. Pero la parte umana Ăš anche importante , la disponibilitĂ  e la gentilezza di Simonetta hanno contribuito alla riuscita del nostro soggiorno, senza dimenticare il cane Pato : le temperature eccezionali dell’estate non sono state solo la causa dell’atmosfera calorosa !

Fantastic holiday

Superb!!! that is the word that sums our holiday in Sunrise.We stayed there for 2 weeks. There were 6 of us in total: 2 adults and 4 children. Even though the apartment was smaller than the rest of the apartments we didn't have a problem. The bedroom upstairs was large and we spent most of our time outside. Due to some car problem we arrived in the dark, all tired. Simonetta, the owner had prepared a delicious dinner (which we had requested beforehand) and had made the place all cozy with candles and..... a bottle of wine. This was very warm welcome after a very tiring journey. The apartments are situated up a hill. Each apartment has a wonderful view of the surrounding area. The swimming pool which is higher up the hill has a beautiful view and a wonderful place to cool off. There are two rivers nearby, the kids enjoyed diving into the cool waters. The location is great for taking trips to villages and towns. The kids enjoyed learning to make their own pizza (ages 17-9). We had fresh vegetables from the vegetable garden. Try the courgette and the tomatoes, really good. And, the ice-cream parlour in Aqualagna, mmmmmmmm Simonetta is really friendly and a very helpful host. She came up with some great suggestions. I wanted to go to Rome with my daughter, and she helped book a bed & breakfast in the middle of Rome for a very reasonable price, and also gave advice on the best way to get there (train). She always went the extra length to make our stay there pleasurable. Thank you Simonetta. Jayne & kids

paradise on earth

I arrived in Cagli with my wife and our four kids last June and stayed at CàBattista where we met with a couple of friends and their families coming there from London. I didn’t know the place before and I have discovered a part of my country where the beauty of nature combined with the traditions of the mediaeval villages amused us and our friends. At Cà Battista we stayed at the Sunset apartment, no other name could have been more appropriate, the view from the terrace is breathless, when the sun goes down behind the horizon and the colors of the earth become immediately dark the images of the countryside disappear leaving the scene to the noise of the crickets. After few hours we felt immediately at home, relaxed and having a drink in the swimming pool offered by Simon, The Queen Of The Place. The apartment is so comfortable and welcoming, everything is at his place but not too much, the bedrooms are great and also have a terrific view, it is just like home! The kids liked the place and spent a lot of time outside playing around, they loved the pool, I love my kids

Actually we all loved the pool, especially when Simonetta invited us for a barbeque, we had a lot of staff to kook on the fire that night, fresh genuine vegetables, growing in the country around, if you eat a simple salad there you discover a taste! Highly recommended!

We spent a week in October in the Sunrise apartment and simply had a wonderful stay! Simonetta is a great host, really friendly and personal and her recommendations for restaurants and other places were greatly appreciated. The apartment itself is very cosy and stylish at the same time. We especially enjoyed the large upstairs bedroom which provides much space for placing a baby bed, for example. But what really makes Ca Battista a unique place to stay is its location on a hill with stunning views of the surrounding area and - of course - the pool!!! It was sensational to swim your rounds with such a spectacular panoramic view. What we also liked about the Sunrise apartment is the large garden which you may use - it gives you a great sense of freedom. Simonetta always thinks one step ahead to make your stay as pleasant as possible - she put up a hammock, brought us tomatoes and basil from her own garden and even bought a new bathtub for our baby. The surrounding area has many attractive towns, Urbino being the most beautiful of all. And even the coast is not far! There is still so much more to see and we will definitely come back.

Home Away From Home For Fun Sibling Reunion

This is a wonderful home with absolutely everything provided that was needed. We loved every minute of our visit and would love to do it all over again! The owner has added so many little things to this home which shows her desire to please. We experienced a 2 hour power failure from a wind storm one evening. We found plenty of candles and flashlights were available. We had such fun sitting and talking, reminiscing and enjoying each others company until the power returned. Beautiful home and location. Reunion of Siblings

There were 6 of us - 4 siblings and 2 husbands. We all loved this home! I kind of hate to write a rave review because it is such a find that it may not be available next time around. We found it perfect for our needs. Lovely setting. Everything we needed throughout the home. One night we experienced a 2 hour loss of electric due to high winds. It was fun sitting with candles and just talking and reminiscing. And, yes, lots of candles and flashlight were available. This owner knows people's needs as well as providing the little thoughtful extras. Thank you so much for everything. All of us hope we can do this again! Carolyn and Jim (and the Hunter clan)

Absolutely wonderful!!

Simonetta is a very nice and friendly person that makes you feel truly welcome. The location is fabulous and the swimming pool overlooking the valley was a real delight! We stayed in the 'Fienile', it was very comfortable and well maintained, everything was very clean, the kitchen well stocked with all appliances that you might need and more. Absolutely perfect and we felt right at home. Simonetta also took me truffle/tartufo shopping in the village so I was able to take some back home with me and cook a real italian style dinner :-) Thank you Simonetta for a memorable stay and we look forward to a return stay at 'Ca Battista' in the future!!

A place without equal

We have been using rural holiday apartments in central Italy for 15 years so we have had plenty of experience of what they are like. We prefer to be up in the hills where it is cooler and there are good views with opportunities for walking and the Apennines provide the perfect location. We stayed at Ca Battista (Sunrise apartment) for 2 weeks this June and I have to say, the location is amazing. We arrived after dark and the owner, Simonetta, had stayed up to greet us and help us into the apartment. The next morning we were greeted with an absolutely stunning view of nearby Monte Nerone (you can drive to the top) and a range of smaller hills covered with a patchwork of corn fields, woods and vines – a view we never tired of. Ca Battista is a short drive up a part tarmac and part white road from the valley bottom. The small town of Acqualagna is only 10 minutes drive from the apartment and has a number of restaurants and shops as well as a reasonable supermarket. We like to eat out and we found many good local restaurants in the area. There are also many interesting small historic towns nearby – Piobicco, Fossombrone, Cagli and several major cultural centres within an hour’s drive – Urbino, Pesaro, Gubbio. There are also many Nature Reserves with great walking and impressive scenery. In fact there was so much to do in the area that we didn’t have time in two weeks to do all we would like to have done. The villa consists of two sizeable buildings which house the several apartments. We looked around a few of them with Simonetta and they all have their own quiet area outside with table, chairs, sun beds and umbrellas. We were in one of the smaller apartments but it had ample space for the two of us - a large bedroom and living / dining area with adequate cooking facilities, fridge etc. We always ate meals and spent all our time outside so facilities inside were not important. The larger apartments in particular were very impressive and well equipped. The large swimming pool is strategically placed slightly higher than the buildings with an open and expansive view over the countryside. During our stay Simonetta was very helpful with advice and information and was always on hand when needed. She kindly offered us the occasional home-made delicacies and a glass of wine, which we very much appreciated. The whole place has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, very informal. Family Fun

Owners were great as was the house. We felt very welcome. The house is just like the pictures and everything is neat, clean and well supplied. The owners were available if anything extra was needed or just to answer questions. My husband & I stayed there with his three sisters and we enjoyed playing games, hiking, BBQing on the back deck. The fireplace was an added plus. We enjoyed hiking in the Peninsula State Park, visiting light houses and the Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay. We would recommend this house to any group looking for a relaxing and fun time.

Charming and comfortable---awesome sunsets!

We've just completed our 2nd stay at the home and was as impressed as we were the first time. The home is very comfortable and perfect for any traveler to Door County. Neat and clean.and oh so charming. Breath taking sunsets. Deer walking through yard Close to any activity you may choose yet offers a nice quiet getaway if you don't want to leave the premises. We are already looking forward to our stay next year. Highly recommend.

Charming Cottage

This charming cottage, nestled among the trees, provides the feel of living out-of-doors; with the rocky shore of Green Bay just a short stroll away. The sunsets are spectacular. There are plenty of paved streets and roads throughout the area, ideal for bicycling or casual walks. For the more adventurous, a bike ride or walk to the center of Egg Harbor is worth the effort. There are plenty of small animals and birds to please the children of all ages. We have stayed in this cottage for several years, and would come back to it each summer forever if we could.

Had a nice time!

Me and my husband recently went to the annual truffle fair and stayed in Simonetta's sunrise apartment. We had a truly enjoyable experience and managed to buy fresh truffles from the area. This was recommended by the owner who knows the area and the local people very well and was able to advise us on where to eat and what activities to do in the area. We mostly enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset over the 25 Hectars of land. The winterskies was painted amazing shades of red, pinks and oranges. After watching the sunset we opened a lovely bottle of local redwine and started our fresh pasta and truffle cooking in the very homely and authentic italian kitchen. The apartment was clean, homely and the owner managed to combine modern and rustic decor to make this place truly unique. The owner speaks English and seems to be well respected in the area. I will miss the hot fire and smell of freshly brewed italian coffee. This was truly an amazing holiday and I feel I have seen a true and untouched part of Italy. I would recommend the local shopping from many italian designer outlet stores...any girls dream, handbags and shoes to die for. We plan to go back in the summer and take our friends for two blissful weeks of sun and cocktails by the poolside with breathtaking views. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it if you want to feel refreshed and revived from all the hard work and city life.
