Atemberaubende Aussicht auf das östliche Ende der Insel, einschließlich der Buck-Insel und so weit westlich wie das Auge reicht. Der Salzwasserpool, der elektrisch beheizt * ist, blickt auf die Aussicht und Sie können Tortola, St. Thomas, St. John und Virgin Gorda sehen. Alle Möbel sind von hoher Qualität und durchgehend aus Mahagoni. Alle Schlafzimmer sind Kingsize und klimatisiert. Wir haben vor kurzem die Wohnung im Erdgeschoss mit einer eigenen voll ausgestatteten Küche und einem eigenen Badezimmer renoviert, was ideal für Teenager oder Kindermädchen ist. Draußen stehen Panama Jack-Terrassenmöbel mit Tagesbett, Liegestühlen und großem Tisch für acht Personen. Die Küche hat einen Geschirrspüler, eine Müllpresse, eine Mikrowelle und ein glattes elektrisches Kochfeld mit zwei Doppelöfen. Das Anwesen verfügt auch über einen Propangrill im Freien. Das Haus liegt auf einem hohen Hügel und ist sehr privat mit einem elektrischen Tor für zusätzliche Sicherheit und einer großen Auffahrt und einem Carport für Ihr Auto. Wir haben WiFi-Breitband, so dass Sie an der Frühstücksbar sitzen und rechnen können, während Sie das türkisfarbene Wasser hinter dem Pool und der Terrasse betrachten. Es ist sehr bequem zu Geschäften und Restaurants. Es ist 5 Minuten von einigen der besten Restaurants der Insel entfernt. Strände sind nur fünf Minuten entfernt. Das Mitbringen Ihrer Zahnbürste ist alles, was Sie im Paradies brauchen!

Million dollar view

Wonderful location. Awesome house and property. View was so calming. Definitely get a jeep or an SUV to get to property. Will echo what others have said that house needs some updating. Would stay again for sure

Incredible View!

The view is nothing short of AMAZING! It was our first visit to St. Croix, but not our last. Be sure to participate in the crab races at Shupe's on the Boardwalk, lots of fun. We had several great meals. Make sure to find No Bones. Their customer service was perfect and the food was wonderful. I would hesitate staying in this home with small children due to the number of steps and stairs. We had a wonderful trip.

Absolutely Stunning and Amazing home

Seriously, this house is amazing. I can't say enough good things about it. Just do yourself a favor and rent a SUV or 4x4. We got a jeep. The driveway up is no joke, but well worth the trip for the outcome. We absolutely loved this home and if we stay in St. Croix ever again we will look to reserve this house before looking anywhere else. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing views!

The view is really incredible and definitely the greatest asset of this property. As others have commented, the drive up to the property is rough but worth the expansive view. There were a few amenities that were not available/as listed but we really enjoyed our stay. It’s just a short trip to many great shops, restaurants, beaches, and landmarks in the area, which is just what we were looking for. If you’re going to use all of the space available, just be sure to note that one of the beds/baths is separate from the main house and is not to the standard of the rest of the property, and there is only one bathroom with separation/privacy from the bedrooms (no doors in en suites) which could be an issue, depending on the group you are traveling with. Overall, we had a lovely stay!

Incredible property!

This was our second time on St. Croix and this house was incredible! There were eight adults and two children in our party and the Villa de Mer had more than enough room for everyone to spread out. The separate apartment worked wonderfully for the couple with two small children. The house is beautifully appointed and the view from the patio/pool area is breathtaking. The house is perched above the Christiansted harbor and is close to the boardwalk, multiple grocery stores, and is only a 20-25 minute drive from the airport and some of the best beaches on the island (Cane Bay and Rainbow are our favorites!). Donna was an amazing host and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back!

This place was magical!!

Unfortunately the last renters left the house a absolute disaster (in our opinion they should not get their deposit back) so the cleaning lady’s were still working hard when we arrived there for two hours after the checkin time. After they thoroughly cleaned the entire place everything was wonderful. We all decided that we will definitely come back to this location. The view was breathtaking, the pool was clean, the kitchen was wonderful to cook in, and we even took advantage of the sitting lounge. The only complaint two of our people had was that the bed in the middle bedroom was uncomfortable the sheets were dirty and the ac unit stopped working about half way through our trip. All in all we had a wonderful time and I’m so glad we picked this house.

A great house overlooking Christianstedt

This was our second stay at this lovely home and I hope we will return. The view is to die for. It takes some guts to drive up the windy, steep, partly unpaved road to the house- but I had no trouble with it. The beds are very comfortable. Plenty of towels. Beach chairs to bring to the beach are a plus. AC works well in all the bedrooms- we did not need to use it on the main level during the day because the breeze was lovely. Communication with the house manager was very easy. I bring a hummingbird feeder with me when I travel, and we got great views of the 2 hummingbird species. Hawks and Kestrels fly by at eye level. I can't wait to return. The market at the bottom of the hill has everything you need- it's just pricier than other stores. There is a great bakery at the bottom of the hill as well and we got great empanadas and carrot cake there every day (go early, the empanadas sell out). There is a book in the house with a list of nearby beaches and we tried a few we had not been to before - all very nice. I can't say enough. I wish I was there now.

House is large with the most incredible views. External property is lovely with beautiful foliage. You get used to the bumpy ride up the hill it is worth it for the view. Close to everything. Hate to give it less than a five but for the price the internal house needs updating. Not ideal if you have toddlers or someone with mobility issues. Donna and team were super responsive and provided welcome snacks for our arrival. The house is fully stocked with kitchen items and included spices for cooking. Would rent again once it’s refreshed. Stayed 13 nights.

A slice of paradise

The house is amazing. The views, the rooms, the decor, the pool - all of it were amazing. Like pretty much every where we went on the island the road leading up to the house is, err, "rugged" or "rustic" but once you get used to it, its not bad at all. We explored all over the island and still spent much of our time in Christiansted, so the location is perfect especially if you book a snorkeling trip to Buck Island on Big Beard charters. There is a small grocery store 2 minutes from the house which is great for a quick trip or limited items but if you can drive 10-15min I'd highly recommend going to one of the other much larger groceries - bigger selection and lower prices. If you dont mind getting up at 445am, its definitely worth the short drive to Udal Point for the sunrise - great picture opportunities. The only thing to be aware of with the house is water pressure, since its on a cistern and uses a pump, the pressure isn't what many people are used to on the mainland where they have city water - its not a bad thing by any means just something to be aware of. In talking with locals we learned that, like the roads, its part of island living. One of our favorite things about the house - sitting on the pool deck or in the pool at the end of the day and listening to the music / karaoke drift up to us on the wind currents from downtown Christiansted - it was just loud enough to be heard on the deck but you could not hear it in the house at all. Lastly, with the exception of our 14 & 17 year old, us adults (23 & 26yr old kids and us parents) didn't turn on or watch any TV, not once in 8 days. The views are so commanding you want to spend as much time outside on the deck as possible. We'd stay there again without the slightest hesitation. We all highly recommend the property.

This house is amazing

I have rented many VRBO houses, and stayed on St. Croix 4 times, and this house is the nicest. The view! From every room! The house is lovely, comfortable, and the views were great. I stayed for 2 weeks with my husband and 2 kids. We all had plenty of space. The pool was warm, the deck was where I spent a lot of time. The kitchen was very well stocked. The beds were comfortable. I had read in other reviews that the road up the hill was steep, so I was prepared. Be sure to have a 4 wheel drive car, and drive slowly around the many potholes - I drove this hill several times a day and I got very good at it, but it was daunting at first. We walked up the road from the house to the top of Recovery Hill every day- good excersie and great views. I am a bird watcher and this house had so many nice ways to see birds. Red tailed hawks and a peregrine falcon flew by every day. Baanquits and Grassquits hang out in the tree in the side yard. Two kinds of hummingbirds! I wish I could buy this house. The water comes from a well, (and tastes great) and the water pressure in the kitchen sink is a little low, but that is literally the only thing I can think that wasn't stellar. We drove to one of the island's larger grocery stores on our first day there, but then discovered the market at the bottom of the hill had everything we needed (and had better produce than that major market). I definitely hope to return to this house.

Work Stay

We used the property for a month while working at the refinery. It suited our needs very nicely. Entire property is air conditioned. Very hard to find in St. Croix. Has a great view of the harbor and town. Close to everything. We will plan on staying here again in the future.

Wonderfull week in Estate Recovery Hill villa

Our family 5 adults and 2 children enjoyed our Easterweek on Saint Croix in the Big villa with a lot of space for everybody. The pool was Big and was used of everybody and the view over Christiansted and the See where the Sun was declining was magnificent. The kitchen functioned but some instructions to how the maschines functioned would have been good. We Will come back to the wonderfull House again if we visit Saint Croix. Greetings Henning Gade

Perfect vacation rental

Stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it! Extraordinary views, gorgeous house, and a great location just a few minutes from downtown Christiansted. The house has a nicely maintained private road/driveway leading up to an automatic gate which gives some added privacy, a pool and deck that overlooks the harbor, and beautiful mahogany wood finishing inside. The kitchen has everything, the beds are big and comfy, and there is a lot of space throughout the house. The view from the pool deck was easily the highlight for me the pictures really don’t do it justice. I couldn’t have asked for more and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the island!

Felt Like Home II

I forgot to mention Donna, the property manager. She was AWESOME. She picked us up and gave us all the information we needed. She was attentive and prompt. Communication was a little shaky during the renting process but once we got past that point she was a powerhouse. Thanks Donna.

Felt like Home

My extended family and I stayed here for my son's wedding in June. It was EVERYTHING the pictures promised and so much more. I don't have enough words or time to describe how absolutely wonderful the home is. I plan to visit again and again. I would have given it 5 stars plus except the road to get to the villa is a NIGHTMARE. No one told us about the road prior to our arrival. There were few taxis willing to travel the road and some would not even come all the way up the hill. They couldn't. The vans would slide once they got almost to the top. Who would build such a BEAUTIFUL home and not fix the road to the home? One of the drivers tried to "rip us off" so we fired him (and he still got a very nice tip $100+) and got a new driver. But the home was LOVELY!!!!!!

So sorry about your road problem but taxis tend to be unreliable on the island. Most people have jeeps or suv's even as rentals. It is a paved road most of the way and there is a gravel road that is longer to get to the house. My manager was not aware of the taxi issue . I am so glad you enjoyed the house.

Incredible view, relaxing vacation, great amenities!

My wife and I spent a week here with two other couples, all adults. The house and location are amazing! The view is one of the best on the island, and the pictures do not do it justice. We would wake up in the morning and eat breakfast out on the large dining table by the pool, while watching the island come to life - waves breaking over the island reef, seaplanes taking off, and boats coming into the harbor. The house has all modern amenities - high speed Internet wifi, dishwasher, washer/dryer, air-conditioned bedrooms, satellite TV, cooking supplies, so that you don't feel like you've completely left civilization. Our afternoons were spent exploring the island (we rented a jeep from Centerline Car Rentals) - going to beaches, taking excursions - the Cruzan rum tour, snorkel trip to Buck Island are not to be missed - and "planning" our restaurants. At night, we ate at the restaurants (there are many near the house, since it's right by the downtown area), then came back and enjoyed the lighted pool area, watching the town below transform to night life, or played cards or dominoes on the large dining table in the house. We also used this time to experiment with drink recipes given to us by the local restaurants. This was an extremely relaxing vacation, made all the more amazing by the view and conveniences the house offers. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to others.

Wow, just wow.

My wife and I picked this place months before our wedding to be our honeymoon destination. We took two other couples with us and immediately when we arrived we knew the pictures and description dont do this oasis in paradise justice. The house is just flat amazing, every little detail is picture perfect for a Caribbean get away. We have missed every thing since the moment we left, the pool, the gourmet kitchen, AND THE VIEWS!! We absolutely cannot wait to go back on an anniversary or for any other excuse I can come up with. Donna, the manager of the property, is absolutely great! The experience was 100% fantastic from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

If your looking for beauty and privacy with great views look no further!

This was my first visit to St. Croix. The views from this beautiful home of the Christiansted harbor and beyond are breathtaking...yet it's only a short drive to the Christiansted shops and restaurants. Whether you want to cook in the gourmet kitchen or grilling near the freshwater pool...whatever you do, don't miss the gorgeous sunsets overlooking the harbor from the patio of this magnificent home. Although we had five adults in our group we never felt crowded...plus all three of our bedrooms had AWESOME views of the water. There is so much to do...from snorkeling at Bucks Island to hiking in the rain forest and beyond. Best of all you can really tell the owners went out of their way to make this a special place for all their guest to enjoy!! I can't wait to come back again!

The best place to watch the sun rise!

The house has a fantastic floor plan and is well furnished. The list of pros for this house is long: wifi, large TV (3D), satellite TV, fantastic views, private, excellent generator (a must have), gated, wonderful salt water pool, coffee grinder, propane grill, 4+ bedrooms with very comfortable beds, mosquito nets for all beds, individual air conditioning in the bedrooms, nicely appointed furnishings, recently painted, outstanding property manager (Donna), close to Christianstad, abundant wildlife, fully stocked kitchen supplies (pots/pans, dinnerware), great breezes on pool deck, covered carport, solar, tile everywhere, labelled switches, etc. One bedroom with darkening shades, the rest had sheer curtains (tough to take a nap for little ones). I would recommend renting a 4-wheel drive and I suggest you allow Donna to meet you at the airport to lead you to the home and also show you where the button is to get hot water (cold showers are no fun). The property has some large drop offs without fencing, so watch any small children. The house had maintenance issues that we discovered during a storm (windows leaking, water pouring out of outlets, security gate stopped working, several uncovered outdoor outlets), and the kitchen does need a thorough deep cleaning. We did find some used soap/sponge in the guest bath, otherwise all other bathrooms were spotless. I suspect the maintenance issues are being resolved. After each issue, Donna always showed up to help in any way necessary. She was fantastic and made us feel welcomed and a great resource for St. Croix. The pool was the most used item in this house. My child loved seeing all the lizards birds, snails, and even a gigantic hermit crab. I’d definitely recommend this house, if it is your first time on the Island. Its location to the major roads is a huge plus and makes getting around so easy. We couldn’t have found a better location to stay nor a better property manager for our 1st visit to St. Croix.
