ETNA HOME Luxusvilla

Charlotte and her young group were very nice and friendly. Despite they were a big group (15 people) the villa was quite clean when they left and above all they respected perfectly the garbage planning that is very important for us and for the cleaning day after departure of guest. We would welcome them back again.

We have been hosts for a long time and the reviews on our villa have always been positive. For the first time here is a bad review, it's Sunny's. How is it possible? The answer is simple. When we pointed out to Sunny and her family at checkout that they had broken an umbrella, telling them they obviously had to pay for it, Sunny immediately threatened to write a bad review. It is true that one of the two large sun umbrellas in the solarium did not work but the other was fully functional and Sunny and her group broke the good one, leaving it open on a day of strong wind. We advised them to close awnings and umbrella in case of wind but they didn't. It is normal that if at check-in the umbrella works and at check-out the umbrella is destroyed, the guest must pay for it. This news has destabilized Sunny and her group who, even before coming, had shown that they wanted to save on everything, even possibly on the rental of the car. Sunny's group was so "drawn" to spend even on simple things that they didn't even go to visit Etna (the first place of interest for our guests), a few kilometers away, saying that the cable car was too expensive. Basically they spent a whole week in the pool with the only exception of a trip to Taormina. This suggests Sunny's persistence in the negative judgment at the time we charged him the cost of repairing the umbrella. Charge that has been regularly reviewed and approved by the VRBO staff. This is to make it clear that it was not an injustice. Speaking of the Villa. We are renovating the furniture from the garden, including swings. Right after Sunny left, all the new furniture arrived. On the cleanliness of the rooms, as stated in all the previous reviews, there is no doubt. The villa is always clean when new guests arrive. But Sunny needed something else to criticize ... Speaking of cleanliness, Sunny & C. left the villa very dirty and messy. Finally the swimming pool. It wasn't green, isn't it, it was simply slightly opaque at check-in for the Etna sand, which we obviously cleaned up promptly the next day. We are sorry for how unfairly Sunny wrote, only and exclusively because we told him to pay for the damage caused. He also warned us: "if you charge me for this umbrella I will write a bad review". And so he did. If we hadn't charged him for the damage he would have said everything was ok ...

Group of exceptional, nice and always smiling friends. Upon check out the villa was in perfect condition. Fred and all the other guests perfectly complied with all the instructions we gave him upon arrival, especially the separate collection of garbage. These Canadian guys really are the ideal model of guests. We look forward to hosting them again in the future.
