Me and my friends had a really good time in this cabin, and it makes you feel right at home in the middle of nowhere. Stars are amazing outside.

This was our third stay at this wonderful historic home. We love the location and modern updates while retaining the log cabin feel. We stayed 8 nights in Silver Gate in advance and used that as our base for Yellowstone and Beartooth Highway. We used Placer cabin to explore Paradise Valley. Stocked up on BBQ from Follow Yer Nose - great food. Brian is so attentive. Highly recommend.

Located in Old Chico on a gravel road, this was a great spot to get away from the crowds. This cabin, while rustic, has lots of upgrades and attention to detail. We only used the bottom but the upstairs looked inviting as well. An offshoot from Emigrant creek runs behind the property and listening to the babbling was very relaxing. We hiked up to the waterfalls -about 2.2 miles 1 way with an approximate 700 ft elevation gain (coming back was a breeze). The waterfalls were beautiful but please note that several trees have fallen creating an obstacle course. We felt the location was great.. easy access to Bozeman and YNP north entrance. It may not be close enough if you want sunrise in Lamar but that was not our goal during this portion of our trip. All in all a great ending for our vacation and would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at the cabin. Everything we needed was provided and the location near Chico was beautiful. We especially loved the quiet walk up the road to the waterfall. The sound of the creek was great at night as well.

If you’re looking for peace, quiet, and a true Montana getaway, this property is hard to beat. Nestled in the heart of beautiful Paradise Valley, it offers the perfect balance of relaxation and convenience. One of our favorite features was the creek running nearby. Opening the windows and listening to the gentle sound of the water was incredibly calming and made every morning and evening feel special. The setting is private, serene, and surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, making it easy to disconnect from the stresses of everyday life. The location is ideal—far enough away to enjoy solitude and nature, yet close enough for easy day trips to both Bozeman and Yellowstone National Park. Whether you’re looking to explore the area’s outdoor adventures or simply unwind and enjoy the scenery, this property provides the perfect home base.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful Montana retreat in one of the most beautiful valleys in the West.

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was located very close to the Chico hot springs that are very nice to soak in after a day of hiking in Yellowstone. We also took a nice walk up the road to the waterfall that was absolutely beautiful.

Great cabin in the middle of nowhere

Great cabin - well kept & clean. Only (slight) downside is that it's pretty off the beaten path & a little long to get to if you are going to explore Yellowstone like we did.

Absolutely gorgeous, modern but historic cabin tucked away in a location near many attractions. Everything was clean & well appointed. We enjoyed sitting on the little backyard bridge just listening to the stream rapids running beneath. Very relaxing! I hope to be back!

Cozy, historic and comfortable stay. We spent a week here and I already miss it. Bryan was a great host. The floor plan was perfect for our needs. It is a few miles of dirt road so if you are a city person you might not be prepared for that. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Montana Getaway

Montana is truly a magnificent state to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed Bryan’s cabin and only had to hop in the car for minutes to fish the Yellowstone River, grab a coffee at Chico Hot Springs or get some BBQ in Emigrant. It’s also very close to the north entrance of Yellowstone. We cannot wait to return one day…thanks Bryan for a fantastic stay!
