The house was very beautiful and clean. It was easy to access and host kept us up to speed on how to access the property and leave. Beautiful views and accessibility out on the porches. The only 2 concerns were that the house address was not correct on Google maps and outside trash cans were too small and could have been emptied a couple times during our week long stay since bears were a concern,

It was a wonderful experience! The cabin is beautiful and has amazing amenities! We enjoyed the hot tub, theater room, game room, and king size beds! The arcade wasn't working, but the resort called to check on us and when I mentioned it, a serviceman came and fixed it within the hour! We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone with a large group.

I was disappointed with the “starter pack” of toiletries provided. We had 9 people and the supplies did not match the number of people we paid for. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans. There were missing pieces of flooring in the kitchen. This could be an issue for small children. We enjoyed the game room upstairs but during the day it would get up to 80 degrees in that room, even with the a/c on. It didn’t cool down on the 3rd floor until 1-2am. Kinda miserable for the folks sleeping in the bedroom up there. We had a hot water issue and were very thankfully for the quick response to that issue. They switched out the hot water heater while we were gone for the day. The house overall suited our needs but seems a little run-down. The bannister in the 3rd floor was a little shaky and the beanbag game was broken.

Management was great, very responsive and timely the 2 times we needed to have maintenance. The cabin however, was not clean. Under the sofas, top of fridge, windows, all looked like they hadn't been wiped in months, even the floors throughout were bad. We would wipe something up with a paper towel and the towel was black. The upstairs shower had a rim at our eye level and there was old soap and even two pink fake fingernails left over from a previous guest. Window blinds all dusty, ceiling above the stove was grimy. The cabin really needed a thorough do over. With that being said I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again but will remind management about what we found last time and ask for special cleaning.

Family vacation to the Smokies

Reviewer Comments: We chose this cabin online because it had enough beds to accommodate our large group and it also allowed pets. The cabin was beautiful and had enough room for everyone to spread out, have their own space, then gather together when we wanted to. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. It’s just a quick trip to the grocery store which is nice also. We had some issues with the wifi/router and the movie projector when we first arrived. There was a bad storm the night before and I think it knocked the router offline. It took a few hours but all issues were fixed that same evening. At first the help desk staff though we were just unfamiliar with using the projector correctly but it also had an issue that maintenance needed to fix. My few complaints are the windows needed cleaned. With beautiful views like that, it’s nice to have clean windows to enjoy them from inside. But we definitely spent time outside on the decks to enjoy the views as well. Also we weren’t given enough dishwasher tabs for the dishwasher. We had a 5 bedroom cabin, with 14 people staying and only 2 dishwasher tabs. All other supplies were adequate. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. This was the first large family trip we’ve been able to take all together. Now we are ready to plan another trip!

It was also close to many things like Food City (we made several trips), downtown Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood! We had a great time and it was a beautiful place to meet up with family for a long weekend.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: June 2025. Our family of 7 adults and 7 children very much appreciated our stay at Diamond in the Rough. The 3 story cabin was spotless and kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable! We stayed four nights and bears walked by on two occasions which was thrilling to see. Game room and theater were popular. We needed to buy an undedicated Roku remote to stream in movies. Jacuzzi was clean. Close to Gatlinburg on windy roads. Near the arts community. We hope to return and pick the same cabin! Thank you!

Extended Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 12 stayed five nights in Diamond in the Rough. We had four vehicles and it was a little tricky for parking. We made it work but we weren't positive we parked where we were suppose to. The third floor was very warm in the late afternoon, early evening. If the cabin had blinds in the game room it would help. Maintenance did come out promptly and looked at it.The kitchen was stocked well with pans, utensils, cups, bowls and plates. The ice maker ran out of ice one day and it took a while to refill. The decks are spacious with rockers on each level. A corn hole game was available to use. We used the grill with no trouble.We needed more pillow cases and they came promptly. When we asked for more toilet paper we were told we needed supply it ourselves. Which surprised me, I assumed they'd ant to control the type of toilet paper that went into their septic system. I did pack extra trash bags, paper towels, dish soap and laundry soap. The drive to town wasn't too bad. About 15 mins. Walmart and Aldi was a 20-30 minute drive. Food City with a Starbucks was about a 10 minute drive.

From the booking process until the end of our stay, we were informed on what to expect, check in / out process and given area information which was extremely helpful. The cabin was in a great location and had plenty of space for our group. The Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and enough dishes making it easy to cook our meals. Kids loved the pool table and movie room. We would returned to this cabin in the future!
