Das Nuide House liegt am Rande von Newtmore, einer hübschen schottischen Highland-Stadt im schönen Cairngorm National Park.
Das geräumige fünf Schlafzimmer Haus befindet sich auf dem Ralia Eigentum und kann bis zu 10 bequem Platz. Das Haus selbst hat einen atemberaubenden Blick über die Monadhliath Gebirge sowie die lokale Landschaft. Bewundern Sie im Winter die schneebedeckten Berge und im Sommer die mit Heidekraut bewachsenen Hügel - ein Haus für alle Jahreszeiten.
Im Erdgeschoss des Bauernhauses befindet sich das geräumige, aber gemütliche Wohnzimmer mit Kamin, sowie ein zweites Wohnzimmer mit TV, ideal für Kinder und Jugendliche. Es gibt auch eine gut ausgestattete Küche mit Elektroherd, Kühlschrank, Geschirrspüler, Mikrowelle und Kaffeemaschine. Neben der Küche befindet sich der praktische Hauswirtschaftsraum, in dem sich eine Waschmaschine / Trockner und eine Gefriertruhe befinden. Für das gemeinsame Essen gibt es einen informellen und einen formellen Speisesaal.
Die Zimmer im Nuide House sind über zwei Etagen aufgeteilt. Auf der ersten Etage des Hauses befinden sich zwei Doppelzimmer, beide mit en-suite Badezimmer und eine gute Größe Zweibettzimmer. Zwei Familienbäder sind auch auf der ersten Etage. Die letzten beiden Schlafzimmer, beide mit zwei Einzelbetten, befinden sich im Dachgeschoss.
Im Außenbereich profitiert das Nuide House von einem eigenen, komplett umzäunten Garten, der ideal für Gäste mit Hunden oder Kindern ist. Im Garten finden Sie Holzmöbel und einen Grill.
Bei einem Aufenthalt in Nuide gibt es viele verschiedene Aktivitäten zu genießen, darunter wunderbare Berg- oder Bergwanderungen, Radfahren, Angeln und Wassersport. Skifahren ist auch in den Wintermonaten beliebt. Zum Angeln können Sie auf dem Ralia Estate am nahe gelegenen Fluss Spey angeln.
Im nahe gelegenen Newtonmore finden die Gäste einige schöne Restaurants sowie einige nützliche Geschäfte und eine Garage. Large and comfortable farmhouse, it isn't modern by any means but it is warm, comfortable and has a nice feel about it. The shower was really good and plenty of hot water, I also appreciated the traditional features, like the sink in the twin bedroom - great for little ones brushing their teeth before bed and the fire places in the double rooms. It was also great for pets with a large enclosed garden. My children enjoyed the shear size of the property too, perfect for games of hide and seek or treasure hunts.

Great family week in Scotland
Overall we were very happy with our week at Nuide House.
It is not walking distance into Newtonmore but easy access out to the main road for visiting everywhere by car.
The furnishings are a little tired but comfortable and I would have liked a bigger kitchen but it worked well for our family.

Wonderful base for hill-walking week
Nuide House was a wonderful base for our week of hill-walking in May 2023. The house was comfortable and warm and there was plenty of space to relax in the evenings for our group of 8. The beds provided very good sleeping and there was plenty of hot water. The kitchen was functional and met all our needs. There was ample car parking for our 4 cars and a useful outside shed for bike storage. We liked the round table.
In terms of hill-walking the house is very well situated with lots of Munros and Corbetts in the surrounding area. Newtonmore has an excellent Co-op which is open long hours every day of the week and also a petrol station apart from other shops and hotels. We ate out one evening at the McInnes Hotel in Kingussie. Very good meal but they had problems getting our drinks right.
Overall an excellent week.

Very nice house
The house is really big and spacious. The large round table in the diningroom is very nice. The kitchen is well equiped. We liked the fireplace. The house is near the A9, but you don't hear any traffic. It has a good location if you want yo visit Inverness, Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness, Fort Augustus, Fort William, climb the Ben Nevis, take the (Harry Potter!) train to Mallaig, feed alpacas or taste whiskey at Dalwhinnie.
The house needs some tlc; fix some broken tiles and give it some paint. There are 4 bathrooms, but only one normal shower. It would be best if one of the bathrooms (prefably the one next to the showerbathroom) is turned into a normal shower.
A large (Aldi) supermarket can be found in Aviemore (20 minute drive).

Better cleaning needed
Its difficult to recommend the property, as it was quite worn in many places, but offered moderate value for money overall.
The cleaning of the property needs improvement, as we had to clean rancid milk from the fridge on arrival, which was pretty unreasonable as a starting point, and bathrooms and ither areas were worn and not particulalrly clean.
The towels provided were worn, the bathrooms and fitting were old and somewhat dilapidated in areas. Radiators in some areas of the house didnt function while others overheated some rooms, a leaking window just had a jug under it to catch water, many of the doors had warped and didnt close any more.
For the money we paid it was ok, but a little bit of work, some care, some thought about guests, some cleaning etc would all help here.

Large old farmhouse, well located for trips to Loch Ness, Fort William and the surrounding area.
House is large and rambling with lots of character.
Lounge has lots of sofas to sink into, an open fireplace and wifi.
The kitchen has had some superficial updating done but is in desperate need of a new range (the current one is falling to pieces and has an oven which takes an hour to heat up) and some curating of contents (too much in the drawers etc. including broken appliances) on the plus side there is a Tassimo coffee machine and milk frother!
Bedrooms are equipped with comfortable beds and nice bedding and some even have fine original art on the walls depicting highland scenes (not sure why this isn't downstairs in the common areas instead of prints from a France etc.)
Bathrooms could all do with modernizing but they are clean and with seemingly endless hot water.
The washing machine is newer and works well and with good weather we never needed to use the dryer function.
This is a farmhouse on a working farm and could really do with a few cats on patrol, although this is obviously tricky for a rental property!
That being said, the house was as expected, the photos represent it well and we had a great stay there!

Good points: the house was large and in a secluded location. The appliances (cooker, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine were all new and of high quality. So too were the kitchen utensils. The beds were clean and comfortable.
Points that could be improved: there was a broken window in the shower room and some of the walls had holes in them. The downstairs toilet did not flush unless you removed the lid from the cistern and manually flushed it. There was a huge cobweb in the en-suite bathroom to Bedroom 1. The towels were frayed and could do with being replaced.
Major problem: we had booked the house because it had wi-fi and I knew I needed to do some work whilst I was staying there. When I tried to log on to the network I got an error message. I contacted the owners who advised that the wi-fi had not been working the previous week and the previous guests had "moaned" about it. I explained that I needed to do work for the Friday which necessitated wi-fi. It was suggested I go to the nearby cafe. With no further contact from the owners and a continuing absence of any wi-fi we had no choice but to return home early; we left on the Thursday instead of the Saturday. I sent a message to the owners at approximately 1445 to advise we had had to leave because of the lack of wi-fi. I received a reply approximately 2 hours later to advise that it had been fixed at approximately 1400.

We had a great week at Nuide House, perfect location for exploring and hiking in the Cairngorms. Plenty of space and ideal when travelling with dogs. The exceptional good weather made the trip extra special.

A prefect place to recharge the batteries
Large and could easily cope with 10 people. Some of the rooms were very impressive, but some of the rooms did look a bit tired. Beds were comfortable and the grounds were great for the kids to keep themselves busy. Very quiet and great views, and an amazing star show on clear night.

Lovely location
Lovely house but needs a bit of TLC. Boiler broke down at the end of our holiday, no bit deal regarding the heating but the hot water also went off, so we had to boil the kettle for a day. Beautiful location, lots of wildlife to see. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here.

Great stay at Nuide property
The property is great in terms of location for our walking holiday. We spent a lot of time outdoors as the weather was glorious. The house is very spacious and the view from the bedrooms beautiful. There is a nearby farm with sheep. The house decoration and fittings are a bit dated but it didn't matter much for our short stay. The owners were very friendly and fixed the WiFi issues we encountered.

This is a great house if you’re a large party, it’s very clean with plenty of space for everyone to loose themselves is required, there is loads of outdoors space for ball games and the house is only 5 minutes drive from Newtonmore, if I was to find fault I would say the advertised Sky isn’t Sky it’s just freeview and the Wi-fi is next to useless with more than a couple of people on it , apart from that all is good,

- - - once the WiFi came on its performance was very poor - not workable
- - - a cooker hood above the cooker in the citchen would be an advantage as now the fire alarm was activated regularly

Relaxing & Peaceful
Nuide House is a lovely property in a peaceful location. There were no real issues with anything other than the kitchen was probably not equipped for a party of 10. There are plenty of plates/dishes but not enough mugs (a lot of them had chips in!) There was not enough pans to cook for 10 either!
Other than that it was a pleasant, relaxing and enjoyable stay.
