Fühlen Sie sich wie zu Hause und entfliehen Sie dem hektischen Alltag in diesem Cottage mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern, nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt. "Kitty's Place" hat eine warme familiäre Strandatmosphäre mit einem schönen privaten Garten. Im Erdgeschoss finden Sie einen schattigen Bereich, in dem Sie die warme Sommerbrise genießen und mit der Familie kochen können. Hier finden Sie eine praktische Außendusche, Picknicktische, eine Hängematte und einen Grill. Bewundern Sie die Landschaft von Ihren Rockern auf der Veranda. Gäste kommen Jahr für Jahr wieder zu Kitty's Place und haben es sich zur Tradition gemacht, hier ihre Familienerinnerungen zu schaffen!

50% des Gesamtbetrags sind fällig, um die Reservierung zu sichern. Die restlichen 50% sind spätestens 45 Tage vor dem Check-in fällig. Die Kaution wird zurückerstattet, sofern keine Schäden durch Gäste verursacht wurden. Die Endreinigung ist ab einem Aufenthalt von sieben Nächten im Preis enthalten. Bei Aufenthalten von weniger als sieben Nächten wird eine obligatorische Gebühr für die Endreinigung erhoben. Bei einem Aufenthalt von sieben Nächten oder mehr ist die Bettwäsche kostenlos. Bei einem Aufenthalt von bis zu sechs Nächten wird die Bettwäsche automatisch zu einem Aufpreis zur Buchung hinzugefügt. Alternativ können Sie Ihre eigene Bettwäsche mitbringen. Wenn Sie später Ihre eigene Bettwäsche mitbringen möchten, müssen Sie dies zwei Wochen vor dem Check-in mitteilen. Ohne die ordnungsgemäße Benachrichtigung innerhalb von zwei Wochen erfolgt keine Rückerstattung der Bettwäsche. Die Gäste sind für ihre eigenen Bade- / Strand- / Küchenhandtücher, Toilettenartikel, Papierprodukte, Seifen usw. verantwortlich, sofern nicht anders angegeben.

Neglected paradise

Location..perfect. condition of house..a disappointment.sand and old food stuck to all utensils,pots and containers. Had to rewash before using..and ice maker broken. Sofa arms sticky. Someone dropped the ball on this one.

No vacation and no refund!

I booked Kitty’s House on Thursday and Friday night was in Intensive Care in the Hospital. We were to check in Saturday. My husband called Saturday morning and talked with VRBO and the Proactive Vacation people who supposedly asked owner if they would do any type refund. They refused. So we had no vacation and no refund. I am home now but very disappointed in how everything went. Would never try this again.

We do empathize with your turn of events and in no way are we being punitive when there is no refund on a last minute cancellation. We are not aware of any lodging, hotels or otherwise that would allow a "day of" cancellation. We regret that this occurred. We offered to cancel the reservation with no money back except that you would have received your VRBO travel fee back. It was requested that we leave the reservation open in the event that circumstances changed and you were released from the hospital and could come later in the week. Again, we do empathize.

Nothing fancy but great place

Kitty’s Place was not fancy- very 1950-60 retro but had all that we needed. Very clean. Really enjoyed our stay there. Will try to stay there again.

A great choice!

The property is just as it advertises! It is comfortable and lived in, but not run down by any means. It is on a quiet dead end street, perfect for kids riding bikes! The view of the inlet at the end of the room is beautiful. House was very well stocked with appliances/utensils etc. The grill could use an update but it worked for us the 1 time we used it. We did not have the same issues with dish cleanliness other guests wrote about. Be aware that while the beach access is directly down the street, there are stairs up and down the dunes and it is a long walk to the actual beach. It wouldn't keep me from renting this house again but it's something to be aware of. Overall, Kitty's Place was a hit with us! We would definitely rent it again!

Our 7th Annual Mother & Daughter Trip to Holden Beach.

This property was just what our small family needed to enjoy our 1 week stay, the kitchen had everything you really need to cook and bake. I would suggest house keeping pay closer attention to cooking utensils and frying pans because on our stay we experienced lots of dirty utensils and appliances. Unfortunately I had to visit the urgent care in Shallote during our stay because of the coffee pot being full of black mold and I was the only coffee drinker and the only one who got sick. I would suggest using their Keurig instead. Our favorite places were the balconies with the views of the intercostal waterways and sunsets from the end of the street. The breeze was wonderful from both balconies. Hearing the waves was relaxing and the birds were in abundance all over the island. Some updates could be done to the very used interior furniture but the couches were comfy. The beds have plastic liners on them in addition to the mattress pad covers which they made for a restless sleep because it was like laying on a heating pad and you could hear everyone in the house when they moved sleeping positions. Had to call maintenance a couple times and they came right away so that was helpful. The beach access was convenient and the homeowners on both sides were friendly. I would consider renting again in the future. We took short trips into Shalotte for dining and bowling at Planet Fun and ate at San Jose’s which was authentic. We enjoyed a short hike at Green Swamp Perserve off 211 and saw indigenous Venus fly traps and pitcher plants and wild orchids. On Thursdays there is a farmers market in Ocean Isle and that was very nice to visit it’s at a winery. You can grab fresh produce and fruit and local crafts.

A review?

Our family has made great memories duri our Aug 2020 stay at the Kitty's Place property. Much kudos to Mgmt company that have been very responsive in answering questions multiple times before and during the stay, as well as personally calling in to see if there is anything that we need. We really liked to discovering the Holden Beach Island and hope to be back again. This specific property is at a great location- very private yet close to the beach. The house has everything a family needs. This property is well worn and reasonably maintained and has its own charm with little things here and there that need to be touched up or updated and that is Okay. The private street shares a municipal 200-300 ft long wooden walkway/boardwalk to the beqch that has three flights of stairs and is badly in need of maintenance. Do not rush as you walk through and be wary of splinters. This structure is owned and maintained by municipality and its condition cannot be held against Kitty' Place property management company. There is nothing else to do on the island except being on the beach. And if you are a beach person, you are in for a treat! There are couple of restaurants and marketplaces selling freshly caught fish. It is satisfying to see fish being unloaded from the boat, prepped, and sold to you right at the pier. Prices are a bit high though. Vacationers are advised to bring mosquito/insect repellant. We were bitten top to bottom by unknown species.

Rest and relaxation

You can tell Kitty's Place has been there a while but it is well maintained. It's a perfect place to slow down and recover. It's location is on the quiet west end of the island so it was almost like having the whole place to ourselves. I highly recommend it!!

First time we stayed in this house. We really enjoyed it.

The house was clean and not too much clutter. Kitchen could be equipped better with mixing bowls, storage bowls. There was a lot of stuff that really was unnecessary in kitchen. But we really loved the quilts because they were light and flexible. Most places have itchy quilts and most are not in fashion. These were great. Porch wonderful with nice rockers. Underneath house was clean as well. Maybe one of the picnic tables could be on back porch? We had a problem with fridge being cold and had to call for help. He came quickly and clean underneath and in the back. Worked great after. Town needs to check walk ways. We have always had a problem with this. Over grown brush and not stable in spots.

Excellent vacation rental

My family of 5 stayed at Kitty's Place and we had a great time. The house was very clean and well-equipped. It is on a quiet street with a nice view of the marsh. And it's a short walk to the beach, with access at the end of the road. In the car parking area, there were beach chairs and boogie boards. (We assume they were available for us to use.) The house is located towards the west end of the beach, 5 miles from the bridge. It's a pretty quiet town (perfect for us) with a few shops and restaurants. We brought bikes with us and rode up and down Ocean Drive for the 5 - 6 mile stretch. There's also an ice cream shop at the three mile marker, which is walk-able (a longish walk back and forth) on the beach. A few highlights for us....we watched baby sea turtles make their way to the ocean in the evening (the turtle patrol folks were VERY nice and helpful), we saw a painted bunting in one of the marsh areas (bring binoculars if you're interested), we rented jet skis (there are a couple of rental places across the bride), and of, course, we enjoyed the beach itself. The beach area across the house was never crowded. And the water was a really nice temperature. The management company was very responsive when we completed the rental. We did not need to contact them while we were there. All in all, I would definitely recommend this house and hope to return.

Wonderful Place to Stay

Ms. Kitty's Place was the perfect place for our family of 6. Everything you could possibly need to make your stay enjoyable was already provided. The house was clean and we definitely felt at home. With our small boys being on a dead end road was perfect for riding bikes and playing outside (without the traffic). The beach access was directly across from our road - we were porch to beach in no more than 5 minutes tops. I highly recommend staying here... the customer service we received was top notch as well!!!
