Direkt am Meer, schöner Balkon, geräumige Wohnung

Wonderful you had a good time. Thanks for booking. Re parking, all the streets behind the flat are free parking...perhaps my local knowledge makes it easier to find parking spaces as it's rare I need to search for one.

The great majority of people who rent my flat like the bohemian-beachside feel of it, while one or two it seems are into something more ordinary - nothing wrong with that if they are but why come to me?. Almost all of the criticisms in this review are completely unfounded. For example it’s made clear the flat is on the 4th floor, (also a quick look at the photos would evidence this plus a lot of the other things mentioned). Also there is a working lift (the reviewer didn’t like lifts so walking the stairs was her choice), I make it clear there’s no TV, it’s clear that it’s my home so I obviously have things there (again see photos), the place is not full of fruit-flies (i can’t find one…bizarre… and for me the plants are a plus), there is lots of free parking in the roads and square behind the flat - 2 minutes away - as I explained (also as explained not directly on the seafront as of course that’s pay), you can though double park for five minutes to drop off bags as also explained (everyone does it, and send them up in the lift), there is of course a road along the seafront but you can’t hear it in the flat (and with the doors open you hear the waves), there is a hairdryer in a bedroom cupboard, there’s no microwave it’s true (i don’t use them), there’s a cupboard with hangers for guests clothes in the bedroom plus three empty cupboards for other clothes, the fridge has three free shelves empty for guests and there is at least one deep freeze shelf always free, there are indeed Arabian rugs on floorboards (what’s the problem?), the balcony is exactly like the photos (with an amazing view), etc etc. My cleaner was in after I left so i can’t vouch for what she did or didn’t do re the cutlery etc, but I feel there’s an effort being made here just to be negative. It’s worth reading the other reviews below for a bit of balance. And in the meantime here is a review that came in literally a couple of days after this one from another rental website: '*****Beautiful pad in an awesome location. I’m sorry you felt this way. The vast majority of people really enjoy staying. but it’s a bohemian-style flat and I understand that won’t be for 100% everyone. On specifics: I haven’t been able to get the a/c serviced this year so that’s fair, but parking is for me always fine (it’s a seafront flat so it’s in the roads behind - I’ve never had to walk anything like six minutes), the balcony doors work fine - push them in and lift the handle, as for the crumbs and the out of date milk in the fridge I can’t say as I’ve been away, but my normal cleaner has been ill so I’ve had a different cleaner coming in. It sounds like she hasn’t been as thorough, and I cook without a problem so I’m surprised you struggled. Overall it’s a shame my flat wasn’t for you but I’m happy you enjoyed the balcony and the local restaurants. All the best

I’m sorry to hear your experience was so mixed. To cover your points: I leave all but one of the cupboards (which is locked) in the bedroom empty, four cupboards in all, so I’m a little confused by that comment. I’ll make it clearer to future guests though. And while I very much sympathise with your car being scraped, that’s awful for you, It definitely isn’t normal in the area. I park in the free parking streets behind the flat - usually around Magdalen Rd - and it’s always been completely easy, a minute’s walk from the flat. A shame you didn’t much warm to the area, there’s so much going on and to do, and so much history to explore. I’m glad you managed to visit some of the lovely nearby countryside though. All the best
