ist eine stilvolle Landvilla, gelegen auf einer Erhöhung mit Ausblick ringsum. Die friedliche Lage ist privat & nicht einsehbar & bietet 5000 m² (1 Morgen+) Land, sie bietet auch reichlich Ausblicke. Comares, ein Bergdorf, ist von der Terrasse aus sichtbar & seine traditionellen Bars/Restaurants/Läden sind 10 Fahrminuten entfernt. Die Unterbringung ist für eine Großfamilie oder eine Gruppe teilender Freunde passend. Auf einer Etage erbaut ist es kinderfreundlich und ideal für aktive ältere Personen. Gesittete Hunde sind (draußen) willkommen und sicheren Platz gibt es draußen auf der Villarückseite. Villa Romeo ist ganzjährig eine ideale Urlaubsgegend. Südandalusien hat über 300 Sonnentage. Die Villa ist im Sommer in allen Räumen mit elektrischen Ventilatoren ausgestattet, diese und Rollläden und Jalousien an allen Fenstern halten die Zimmer kühl. Eine Bank mit Geldautomat, gutem lokalen Geschäft mit frischen Produkten, Apotheke, Tabakladen und 6 Bars/Restaurants mit lokalen Gerichten & Tapas machen Ihren Urlaub in der Villa Romeo zu einem gemütlichen Aufenthalt.

Stadt & Strand Einrichtungen: Velez Malaga ist eine große Marktstadt, in der Sie alle nötigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten finden, inklusive: Modernes Einkaufszentrum, Kinokomplex, Krankenhaus, Wasserpark, Bowlingzentrum und Spezialistengeschäft. Torre Del Mar ist der nächstgelegene Mittelmeer Strandurlaubsort. Über 2 km breite Sandstrände mit verstreuten auf Fisch & Meeresfrüchte spezialisierten Strandbars. Entlang der Promenade finden Sie Unterhaltung für jedes Alter. Leihen Sie sich ein Fahrrad oder gehen Sie am nahe gelegenen Strand reiten. Andalusien erkunden: Villa Romo ist die perfekte ländliche Lage, um die Schlüsselsehenswürdigkeiten Andalusiens zu besuchen: Malaga Stadt, mit Schloss & Hügelspitzenfort, Picassomuseum, großartigem Einkaufen und Tapasbars in 1 Stunde. Granada & Alhambra Palast (muss man sehen!) ist ca. 90 Fahrminuten entfernt. Buchen Sie im Voraus online/bei der lokalen BBVA Bank. Sevilla & Cordoba sind auf guten Straßen ein wenig weiter gelegen - aber die Mühe wert. Antequerra ist weniger als 1 Stunde entfernt und voll von attraktiven Gebäuden und Monumenten. Der Nationalpark Torcal ist nahe bei. Nerja, mit berühmten Höhlen und guten Sandstränden, ist 1 Fahrstunde entfernt. Und wenn Sie auf großem Fuß leben wollen sind Marbella & Puerto Banus ein lustiger Tagesausflug!

Beautiful views all around the property. The pool is a great size and perfect for the kids. The outdoor cooking space is great. The kitchen is well stocked and also has great views. The property could benefit from a/c in all rooms and a smart TV. The local roads are narrow and I would recommend arriving during the daylight hours. All-round, a great family villa for a stay in a beautiful part of Spain.

Beautiful villa, wonderful views!

We were looking for a quiet spot where we could enjoy our natural surroundings and Villa Romo provided just that! The villa was reasonably close to the lovely village of Comares, with several appealing restaurants. Maria is a gracious hostess and a wonderful guide to the area. Wonderful

Stayed for a week in July , we were a group of 8 with a young child . Villa was very clean and very well kept , with really comfy beds. The surroundings are very peaceful with beautiful sceneries , a place to disconnect from it all. Hosts Carl and Maria are really helpful too and respond quickly to any queries. Totally recommendable would definitely repeat the experience . Thank you , we had a wonderful time 😀.

A wonderful house but challengin roads!

Villa Romo is a totally wonderful place. Beautiful rooms in a beautiful scenery with a good sized pool. But the roads there! Never had we driven on such narrow mountain roads. Of course also the size of our 9-persons van made us nervous there. However, everything went well and we had an unforgettable stay in Axarquia. Thank you Carl and Maria!

Very calm and excellent views

We had an excellent stay this April at Villa Como. The friendly owners Carl and Maria cared for everything and we enjoyed the stay at Villa Como very much. My two sons liked especially the Pool. The rest of us enjoyed the BBQ, the excellent views through the landscape and the real calmness of the house. Take a good look at the map, because the Villa is about 10 km off the village Comares. This means, You will definitely Need a car. Enjoy Your stay as we did! Marcus

I am very pleased that Marcus, his 2 sons and his parents enjoyed the peace and views on offer at Villa Romo. And congratulations boys, you are the first swimmers of the season! I agree, a car is the best option unless you are very keen walkers as Villa Romo is 7 kms from Comares hilltop village and 5 kms from Los Ventorros El Molino bar restaurant. Bar El Nino is a 20 minute walk though for those who fancy a vino and a short walk back for a siesta! Thanks Marcus for leaving the villa in great condition and hope to see you again. Carl

Peace and relaxation

Although the roads to the villa are daunting at first, you soon get used to them. The Villa itself is beautiful and has all you need for a complete holiday with everything in the kitchen and living room you could possibly want. Carl came over 2 or 3 times to check everything and to ensure the pool was clean. He was very helpful with regard to local attractions and amenities. The views from the terrace and pool were amazing, the sun was over the terrace all day. All in all a fantastic holiday. Thank you Carl, Regards from Chris, Sue, Jenny, Ena and Simon.

Nobody ever gets a 10 but Villa Romo is close.

Beautiful rural location. Well appointed property with plenty of space. The pool is well maintained and although a tad cool at the time of year we were there (mid Oct) - VERY refreshing! If you like comfort, peace and quiet, stunning views, this is the place. Plan your fuel top ups and shopping trips as the nearest garage and supermarket is 20 minutes drive (Benamargosa) although Comares does have a limited shopping. There is plenty of fridge and freezer space so's not to make it a daily requirement. Overall we had a fabulous holiday exploring the area and were sad to leave.

Super relaxing holiday in great villa.

My wife and I stayed at the villa at the end of September for a week. We arrived late on a Saturday so the complimentary welcome pack was indeed welcome. The road can appear challenging but that a price worth paying for the location, tranquillity and views. The villa was very comfortable and we are breakfast on the terrace each morning. We travelled to the local town with a slightly larger supermarket and found everything we needed. We also visited Velez Malaga for both shopping and beaches. On our last day we went to nerja and a town called frigiliana which were both really interesting and worth a second visit. The villa was very well equipped and had all the facilities we required . Carl was very helpful and gave us some useful pointers for restaurants etc. We would definitely recommend this villa and will be back again.

We try to be flexible with arrival times where other reservations permit and always provide a welcome pack of hot and cold drinks & some breakfast foods which is especially appreciated when shopping en route to the villa is not possible. Thanks Michael & it would be good to see you again. Carl

STEER CLEAR!! Dirty oven with congealed grease & food debris on oven tray. Mouse jumped out of kitchen drawer when we opened it. Kitchen pedal bin lid broken. Mouse dropping in cutlery drawer. The inside of the villa appeared to be very cluttered and with worry & concerns of what we might find next we decided we couldn’t stay. Swimming pool was murky. Outdoor space consisted of two old garden tables pushed together in veranda. BBQ and pizza oven to the side of drive with an old wooden picnic table. The pool was situated at the top of the driveway (we could not see the advertised garden area) cushions and outdoor chair/sofa cushions badly stained. The photos on website are definitely not a true reflection of what the villa looks like now. We suspect photos were taken a number of years ago. Owner ‘sniggered’ on the phone when we said we were sleeping in the car that night. Owner finally turned up at 10.20 the following morning with no offer of a professional deep clean or pest control.

We have been advertising with VRBO for a number of years and have 81 guests reviews most of which are 4 or 5 star. We are very proud of this. The last review was written by a guest who stayed a week an left on the morning of the same day these complaining guests arrived. The property was cleaned after the departure of the guests in the morning. This review is almost completely untrue or an opinion of this guest. Suffice to say there were no mouse droppings in the drawer and no mouse was seen by us. The pedal bin lid was broken (apologies), this has since been replaced. Cluttered it is not by homely with books, dvds, games for guests to enjoy. Swimming pool was perfect and cleaned the day of arrival. It is located in front of the house as per photos in our ad. The sturdy picnic table is not old and coneniently placed by bbq and pizza oven. There are 2 large glass topped tables with chairs on the covered terrace. These tables are exactly as shown in the photographs. The Mediterranean gardens around the villa include palm trees, yuccas, flowering shrubs and 2 beautiful bougainvilleas as per photos. All our photos are representative of the house and outside area . These 2 guests and 2 dogs arrived late on the Saturday evening and called me, we agreed for me to go and see them the next day, Sunday morning at approx. 10am, which I did. When I arrived guest said she had already booked accommodation on the coast and left. There was no good reason for this guest to leave.

A truly wonderful spot

We travelled as 2 families, 5 adults 2 teens and a 5 yr old and there was more than enough space to accommodate us comfortably. All rooms were clean and of a very good size, master bedroom was huge, kitchen was great, very big with all mod cons. But it was the pool that took top honours, we had 8 in the pool at one time and it didn't feel a squeeze. I spent ages looking for the right pool as my daughter loves the water but is severely disabled but the stairs into pool made it easy for me to support her in and out. The other kids just loved it and literally they were in there at every opportunity 10/10 The location is very rural and in the 36°c heat just walking to the bin 70m away up the hill was challenging, so any idea we had about walking to the nearest cafe/shop was out, but having said that it didnt spoil our stay, we were 20 mins from the stunning Comares, 55mins from Nerja, 35 mins from Vélez-Málaga and 1hr from Benalmadena, given just how good villa was this was a drive i was willing to make, infact were already planning to come back. Honestly this was one of the best trips we've had, Carl was a very good host, with good communication and a very friendly laid back attitude.

Peaceful and tranquil villa near Comares

This is a lovely, spacious villa near Comares. The villa is well equipped and has a delightful pool and terrace area which are very well laid out. Carl and Maria are great hosts and very supportive and responsive. The villa represents very good value in rental terms. The roads can be a challenge if you are not used to them and you need to be organised on food shopping since the nearest good supernarket is 50 minutes round trip. The location is really peaceful and serene and we had a great 2 weeks enjoying the countryside and had lazy days by the pool as well as trips to Cordoba and Antequera (the latter only 50 minutes away). It takes about 50 minutes to get to Torre del Mar which is a great beach resort. During our stay, there was no hot water in the kitchen which it was not possible to fix whilst we were there, which was a bit inconvenient but overall, we had a great stay. Air con in master bedroom only and some of the bedroom fans could do with a bit of a clean. Our family had some great hikes nearby. Would thoroughly recommend to those wishing to see a different part of Andalucia, away from the crowds on the coast. Good restaurants nearby. Very accessible from Malaga airport.

Rest/Relax/Recharge

We stayed at Villa Romo for 10 days. The perfect place to get away and appreciate a slower pace and Spanish way of life. Carl & Maria were attentive throughout. Only snag was getting to the house on day one, as we were driving from Toledo. Managed to find the house before dark; a plus! The home is quite remote and it took us about 30 minutes to get there from the small town of Rio Gordo. (My advice is to buy groceries before you arrive.) We were very happy to get 'home' and unwind and not have to brave the roads again after dark. With that being said, after day 2 we became quite comfortable navigating the mountain roads and enjoyed the sweeping views and beautiful wild flowers around every bend! Who needs Ronda when you have the mountains of Axarquia? Didn't take as many day trips as planned, due to the location, about 4 days on, 5 days at home/local. May was the perfect time to visit; not too hot, and the spring fairs and festivals are still going on! The house is well appointed, with just about everything you need to cook a good meal and relax with your group around the pool. Loved the outdoor grill as well (sadly did not get the chance to use the wood-fired pizza oven).The water got very hot and the waterfall shower heads are wonderful. There are plenty of linens, towels, and patio chair pillows to go around. Fans in every bedroom, although this time of year we did not really need them. Carl was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local goings on. Thank you!

Das Haus ist ein Zuhause. Liebevoll gestaltet mit vielen Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten. Küche sehr großzügig eingerichtet, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Eisschrank, Kühlschrank, Backofen, Mikro. Sehr schöner Außenbereich. Leider hat der Pool nicht die 20 Grad erreicht, aber die Kinder sind trotzdem reingesprungen. Drau.en Grill und Pizzaofen. Der Weg dorthin ist wirklich herausfordernd. Aber der Blick entschädigt für alles.

Perfekter Familienurlaub zum Abschalten

Das Haus ist sehr schön, geräumig und gut ausgestattet, der Pool ist toll und im Steinofen lässt sich leckere Pizza zubereiten. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und würden definitiv wieder kommen.

Traumferien

Es war noch viel viel schöner, als die Fotos erwarten ließen. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung, Erholung pur. Die Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern hat gut geklappt; leider konnten wir sie nicht kennenlernen. Nica hat sie aber gut vertreten! Die kurvigen Sträßlein zur Finca sind allerdings nichts für ängstliche Autofahrer!

Die Villa liegt im ländlichen Andalusien, die Straßen dorthin sind asphaltiert, aber ja, einige Landstraßen sind etwas windig. Ein Traum von Villa ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

Carl ist ein super Gastgeber. Im Kühlschrank lag bei der Ankunft eine große Flasche Bier, eine Flasche Wein und einige zu essen. Die Villa liegt sehr schön und ruhig auf einem Hügel mit Palmen. DANKE CARL !!!!!

We continue to be thrilled by the views and beautiful, colourful landscape of Andalusia. The white washed village of Comares is both unique and unspoiled yet only an hour from Malaga. The perfect rural base to relax and explore.
La Paz, our finca meaning “peace” was renovated and a swimming pool was built on the hillside. We converted part of the farmhouse to a self contained studio overlooking the pool and our holiday rentals idea became a reality when we welcomed our first guests in 2002.
Our next project was Villa Romo, spacious accommodation with pool and popular with families. Friends owning properties locally and wishing to rent their villas for holidays have entrusted us with the keys and management responsibilities.
We are proud to showcase a small, quality selection of individual villas, beach houses, apartments and even a seaside Fisherman’s Cottage. We provide a professional, bespoke service which can include the rental marketing and maintenance of holiday properties in the Axarquia region of Andalusia.
