Spaziergang zum Smallwood Museum (berühmten Ort von lokalen Pioniergeschichte) und Havana Cafe BESTE MEERES BESTE Stone Crab in der Saison. Lokale Restaurants bieten frische Meeresfrüchte und lokale Steinkrabben. In der Nähe (Fahrrad-Lage) Everglades City und Nationalpark und der allgemeinen Luftfahrt geebnet Flughafen. Kurze 30 Minuten Fahrt nach Neapel (Shopping), Marco Island (Strände) und 1 Stunde nach Miami / Ft. Lauderdale Flughäfen und Handeln. Schließen von "fast Katze" Bootsfahrten nach Key West. Das ist perfekte Ort um sich zu entspannen und den letzten FLORIDA, nicht entwickelt Bereich genießen.
My friends and I stayed here for 4 nights. Four of us were in for a multi-day fishing trip, and this place worked very well for our plans.
The listing description was accurate regarding the location, layout, and amenities. The location was perfect because it was within walking distance of the marina where we met our fishing guides each morning. The property was well maintained and was very clean when we arrived. Given the cooler weather and lack of mosquitoes, we especially enjoyed being able to hang out on the deck in the evenings. We received very good customer service from the owner. Getting into the property was easy and we were provided good instructions on using the air conditioning, the TV, the internet, and everything else about the property. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay on the island with good access to the marina and the water. Our main activity was fishing. We did go to restaurants for dinner, and our favorite was the Havana Grill.

My wife and I traveled from Ontario Canada to Chokoloskee to escape the winter. The previous reviews and the accommodations were a definite factor in choosing this rental.
Our positive experience with this accommodation started with the owner Walter. He was prompt, friendly , accommodating, and always available when needed.
This property was excellent value for the 2 months we spent there. The reviews and property description are accurate.The accommodation is spacious, clean, and well equipped. It had everything to make our stay comfortable.
We used it as our base while we explored everything the Everglades area had to offer. We took the time to visit all the tourist areas. Our favorites were Loop road , the Oasis center ,and Shark valley.
This accommodation is also a good location to try your hand at the great fishing the area has to offer. We spent many hours enjoying catching a variety of fish.
The Everglades City/ Chockoloskee area is also an excellent area for cycling. There is an easy path to ride on the causeway between Everglades city and the Island.
Walter's home is part of a very friendly community. The boardwalk by the docks is a great area to sit by the water, meet other residents, and make new friends.

Great place in the middle of the 10,000 Islands. The unit is clean, well maintained, and has everything you could need. Great place for a home base to explore Everglades National Park and the surrounding area. I spent a month kayaking, fishing, and camping while using the unit as a home base and could not have been happier. Walter was super helpful and always available to answer any questions.
Very nice accommodations. Plenty of space inside. all appliances work great. Down the road from a marina. I rented a small boat with an outboard motor on it and made some adventures around the mangroves bordering the gulf. Super close to Everglade city where there are plenty of opportunities for alligator and manatee adventures. wildlife abounds around here. I wish I could have stayed longer. The property owner was always available and super friendly.
Just got back from a really great trip at Walter and Margret's place to Choko. . The place is fantastic !! First upon entering I couldn't believe how spacious and clean the place is . We had 4 guys and with a ton of gear and no problems . The beds are comfortable and the unit has amenities galore . A fully stocked kitchen . Washer / dryer / Wi-Fi are just to name a few. A REALLY large deck with seating and a charcoal grill . Everyone in the village is super friendly and the owner of the marina was really helpful in locating our slip for the boat . I'm not new to this area ,I have stayed in EGC at Glades Haven . I have also rented on the Island in the Barron river for several years. . This place will have me coming back for years to come ... This year the fishing was off the hook and it was really nice coming back to Big Blue for some evening drinks while we all made up our fish tails ... Give Walter and Margret a call you will not be disappointed ....
