Great house

The house was great! Lots of space and good location. However I would have liked to see more items in the house for use such as cooking utensiles, salt and pepper, etc. I had to purchase dish soap and dishwasher detergent myself to clean my dishes.

Issues with cleanliness but owner worked with us

The house was in a great location. We loved the neighborhood and had a great time. When we arrived the cleanliness of the house could have been better. It hadn’t been swept, dishes were dirty in the cabinet, the area by the pool was dirty and had food around it and the trash cans were overflowing. It looked as though the trash hadn’t been emptied in a while and the pool had plastic shot glasses in the bottom and pool floats everywhere. I called the owner and she was very apologetic about the situation. Evidently the cleaning agency didn’t take care of the house very well and since they don’t live in the area the owner wasn’t aware. We cleaned the home and the owner refunded the cleaning deposit. The listing was inaccurate as far as the bed situation. It listed four twin beds but one room had a double instead of twins. The owner hadn’t updated the listing . We chose it because we had four teenagers so twin beds were definitely needed. Once we cleaned, teenagers worked the bed situation out, and called about trash pickup everything was good. We saw manatees, dolphins, iguanas, burrow owls, and a few snakes which was neat. The kids fished off the docks everyday and had a blast.

Die Lage ist sehr gut nur könnte es wieder mal eine vollstĂ€ndige Renovierung vertragen da doch einige Sachen in die Jahre gekommen sind besonders im Außenbereich auf den Bildern sieht man einen Grill der Leider nicht mehr vorhanden ist nur ein E-grill 😭😭 Der Whirlpool mĂŒsste ĂŒberholt werden da kein DĂŒsendruck vorhanden ist somit auch keine Blassenbildung Der gesamte Aufenthalt mit der Familie war sehr schön und wir waren die meiste Zeit im Pool

Nearly perfect, great location, good fishing

We stayed for a week in this large and well equipped house. We loved the location at a canal intersection just a few houses away from the river. If you like fishing, thats the location for you. I caught several blacktip sharks, snappers, trouts, whitings, jacks and of course catfish. Bring your own rods and reels! The house has everything you need for staying here. The kitchen is well eqipped, the living room has a huge tv and the bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable. Our kids loved the pool. There was no need to heat the pool. Some pool toys can be found in the garage. The owner was fast with answering any questions we had! We only missed some beach equipment, but we had our own which we left the in the house for future guests. There are now a beach umbrella with a sand anchor, two beachchairs and two kickboards. Handle them with care :) All in all we can really recommend this accomodation and would stay here again!

Good for the price

First with the good: The location of the house is great. It's a quiet neighborhood that is well kept. The views from the canal are nice. There are plenty of dining options nearby, along with a grocery store and a Walmart within a few miles. The house itself has good size and the layout is good. The main appliances worked well, as did the tvs. There were 3 full bathrooms with showers and we never ran out of hot water for our family of 6. The AC worked well and the pool temperature was great. The washer and dryer appear new and worked well. The owner responded to my texts and was very friendly. Things that need addressed: The pictures on the listing are outdated. Some of the furniture pieces are different than shown. One of the rooms shown to have two twin beds actually had a queen bed. The slats on this queen bed were broken, so I had to rotate the box springs 90 degrees to straddle the bed frame in order to support the mattress so that my daughter could sleep on the bed. (I informed the owner and she said that she would be ordering a new bed frame.) Some of the blinds had broken slats or broken strings. Some of the closet doors were off track or wouldn't slide easily. The master bed is very hard and creeky (my wife didn't sleep too well during the visit). The house needs a good dusting and the vents need a thorough cleaning. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom wobbled, so we didn't use it; but there was a box fan there that we used (albeit with dusty fan blades). The outside of the house needs some TLC. Things the owner addressed while we were there: 1) When we arrived, the pool water was green and the walls were covered in algae. We texted the owner about it on the day we arrived and the next day a pool company came and cleaned the pool and treated the water. We were swimming in it by the 3rd full day with blue, clear water. 2) The garbage disposal didn't work when we tried to use it. After contacting the owner, a new disposal was installed by the end of the week. Conclusion: The owner is friendly to communicate with and addressed the issues we pointed out. For the price point, we liked the house and would stay there again.

Just what we needed!

We had a few hiccups at first, but the owner handled them. Honestly, the hiccups were from the cleaning crew instead of the owners. This is the perfect location & had all we needed. There is something for everyone. Fishing, kayaking, the pool

My children loved the nice pool and swam several times a day. Only 30 minutes to nice beaches in Bonita springs. We loved watching the boats go through the canal, with occasional ducks and birds and iguanas. We enjoyed our stay❀

Disappointing time in Cape Coral

Location was great - saw dolphins a couple evenings! Home and pool are spacious. We enjoyed using the kayaks, however did not find any adult life jackets. We tried to open the garage door - was broke. Soon after arrival found salamanders in the house - caught and removed what we could. But, there was at least 1 roaming the home! We loved the screened in pool areas, but the pool circulation did not work the entire time we were there. Again entire area looked in need of a good cleaning and some care. Wouldn’t even try to turn on outdoor fan - so filthy and broke at base. Charcoal grill had burnt charcoal in it and was dirty. The bed in our room had something wrong with it - sunk to the center. Not sure what was going on with it? Never found any kitchen towels used a bath hand towel in the kitchen. Pot holders smelled so bad I didn’t even want to touch them. All Air vents were black and filthy - wasn’t sure if it was mold or dirt. Wiped down the bedroom with a cleaner before we slept in there. Entire house definitely needs some love and attention. We contacted home owner several times and basically told they are working on getting updates. We have been staying in VRBO’s for years and honestly this is the first time we have been disappointed with the accommodations.

Don’t believe the photos.

When we arrived for our stay the house was not cleaned. Bedding and towels in piles still and counters were not cleaned. cleaned Previous renters did a great job however cleaning up as much as they could. Owner needs to probably change cleaning services. The owner was very easy to communicate with and allowed us to cancel with no charge. Photos of the house should be updated.

Great Location

A roomy 4 bd 3 ba house. Kitchen was well appointed. View from back yard was awesome. Comfortable furniture and plenty of seating. House could use a deep cleaning (fans, air ducts, windows, pool needed vacuuming) Some powerwashing and fresh paint would be beneficial inside and out.

Our stay in Cape Coral has been very relaxing. Even though Florida has experienced some really cool nights. Several of us are avid walkers and the neighborhood has given us the opportunity to walk in this quiet, safe neighborhood. All things considered it has been very nice. Considering we had 8 people staying here we never ran out of hot water and the pool has been great. The bikes are an asset and we have been riding them almost everyday. We also enjoyed the fishing opportunity on the dock. I do, however, need to point out a few issues about the house. This house could be an even better experience if it has some TLC. We have all adults staying here and the twin beds are not comfortable for adults. They are small, hard, not level and the headboard is not connected to the bed frame. The information of VRBO does not say that the twin beds are only for small children. Plus the VRBO advertisement lists two rooms with twin beds, there was only one room with twin beds. The folding chairs in the garage need to be replaced. One of them has a tear the whole length of the seat that is very dangerous. The dock has several planks that have collapsed and the small rope across the dock will not keep anyone safe. We could not use the kayaks because there were no adult life jackets. We have rented several homes through VRBO and Homeaway in other states and abroad. This could be an exceptional home with some updated work. We especially suggest a thorough cleaning and organization.

House dirty, when arrived back door not locked, pool not even working cold and dirty, everything is old not as you see on pictures , all TV ‘s old remotes don’t work properly , no fish there also , place should be half the price Pitchers are from maybe 10 years ago or more .

Location location location!

My husband likes to fish to relax. Our kids like to swim. We all like the water. This location allowed everyone to do what they love! The house is situated close enough to the river, and that allows fish manatee and dolphins to be in the canal! We got to see a manatee beside the dock! Also many dolphins. Place was clean and very quiet and secure. We’d stay again!
