"Domus Solis San Pietro" ist eine schöne Wohnung in der 5. Etage eines Gebäudes befindet sich am Ende des '800, in der historischen und eleganten Piazza del Risorgimento, im Herzen des Prati Bezirk in Rom.

Diese helle Wohnung hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage: es nur einen Steinwurf ist von St. Peter, dessen Kuppel sichtbar ist von fast jedem Zimmer, unseren Gästen einen atemberaubenden Blick über die Ewige Stadt zu geben; wichtigsten Punkten des historischen und kulturellen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt wie der Engelsburg, Piazza Navona, die Spanische Treppe, das Pantheon, der Trevi-Brunnen, dem Tiber und der Piazza del Popolo, sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen; die berühmte Via Ottaviano und Via Cola di Rienzo, die Nervenzentren des Einkaufs und die römischen Tendenzen, sind ein paar Meter; U-Bahn und Busse sind bei der Hand und lassen Sie den Rest der Stadt leicht zu erkunden.

Great spot for a family of 7

The location for this spot is incredible - we could walk to St. Peter's in 10 minutes or to the subway in 5. For a family visiting Rome on pilgrimage, this was just perfect. We especially liked the views, and the elevator was very helpful for our luggage.

Whats good: location for Vatican and nearby Rome is perfect. Close to lots of groceries, restaurants and some shopping. Place is clean and quiet from the street noise which can be loud and busy. Warm and comfy. Whats not good: Parking here is terrible if you have a rental car. Garage parking available but expensive and unreliable. You can be in bad luck and have renters above you that are loud and inconsiderate. Informed property manager but they have no control over the other units. Elevator is terrible and definitely not recommended for elderly or persons with disability. Requires stairs! Easily improvable: coffee maker is limited to one mokka maker so you need to spend so much time making coffee for 6 people. A 30 euro drip coffee maker would be an easy fix. Cups, glasses, plates, pots and pans could use updating. Some bedrooms needs new pillows.

Wonderful property and location outside Vatican City

The property was just as advertised and very comfortable. We loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom and were very comfortable. The location was excellent - right near a train station, steps away from the Vatican and lots of great restaurants nearby. Would highly recommend!

Rome Stop with Friends

Enjoyed this property as the last stop of a 2 week vacation in Europe. The property was lovely and a nice break from small hotel rooms. Walking downstairs and next door for coffee or dinner and drinks was an added bonus. Communication was great and check-in was easy.

The elevator didn’t work !! We were a party of 9 with suitcases, elderly and kids. The apartment is 10 flights of steps and it was hot so it was extremely unbearable to go up and down the stairs.Some of us didn’t leave the apartment because they couldn’t walk the stairs because each time we checked it’s not working. The property bedrooms sizes were good. However, 2 bedrooms bathrooms showers was very very small.
Down or up no access to get inside the elevator door will not open
It stay in this all during our stay! We went down to bring it up and we walk up to see if we can bring it down no luck!

Regarding the showers, we would like to clarify that they are of standard size for apartments of this type in the area. Great stay in Rome

The location and property is exactly as described. Roomy, clean and in a great location. The only negative was that if you are traveling with a lot of luggage you need to first go to a locker storage a few blocks away and they do not accommodate large luggage. We had to then hope to get into the apartment early to drop off our luggage and luckily they were able to have the cleaning lady meet us with a key to let us in. We were jet lagged and had to wait in the hot sun for her for about an hour - not a great way to check in. My advice is make sure you time your arrival for the proper check in time so you can skip this whole odd process….

Great place to stay!

I think the rooms can be rented separately as each one came with its own key with a shared hallway, bathroom and kitchen. Since we booked the whole place for our family of four it worked out great. Everything was nice and clean and modern. And the location, right next to the Vatican, was excellent. We found a parking garage right around the corner and then we were able to walk most of the places we visited during our stay.

Our group enjoyed our stay in Rome! The unit was exactly as described and we would book this place again on our next visit! The host was very accommodating and helpful, regardless of our travel delays our daughter was met for check in with understanding and he thoroughly showed the unit and getting us comfortably settled in! We were so happy to have our family stay so comfortably at your property. It is directly in front of the Vatican. The neighborhood is lively and has great bites close by. The property was very clean and we will be happy to stay there again. It is on the 5th floor and the elevator only fits a few people and luggages but we managed just fine. 5 stars!

Best location & view of the Vatican

The 3 spacious bedrooms with attached bathrooms were great for a larger family. The extra shower & bath was a bonus as well. The view and the location to all sites was top notch as well as quick communication with the staff. We had a tremendous amount of luggage so be aware that there is stairs before and after the elevator to account for. Access to taxi, metro, cafes, restaurants and gelato were within quick walking distance as well as the Vatican. In the future, it would be great to add a washing machine which was missing from this location.

Great location

Great location steps from the Vatican. You do have to walk to get the key, and walk up one flight of stairs then down another to get to the unit. There was a musty smell that never quite left, we kept one of the bathrooms closed as that’s where it seemed to come from. When messaging the host we were told the sewer was being worked on. I received a message in the last night that neighbors were complaining that we were having a party and being too loud, but we were not even at the unit. When I questioned the message, I received no response. Overall good stay, but a few things that made a difference.

Thank you for your review. We’d like to clarify that in the case of self check-in, the keys are to be picked up just a 5-minute walk from the apartment. However, if this is inconvenient, guests are always welcome to request an in-person check-in in advance, and we’ll be happy to accommodate when possible. The apartment is located on the fifth floor, and we’re pleased to confirm that there is a lift in the building that takes you up to the fifth and a half floor. From there, it’s just 5 steps down to reach the apartment door. Regarding the noise complaint, we’re truly sorry for the misunderstanding. Our neighbors called us upset, believing the noise was coming from our apartment. Since we were not physically present, we simply asked you to be mindful and respect the building’s quiet hours. We now understand that the noise did not originate from your unit, and it seems the neighbors were mistaken. We regret that you were wrongly accused and thank you for your understanding. We appreciate your stay and hope to welcome you again in the future under better circumstances.

Check in & luggage storage frustrating.

All good except checking in & storage of luggage was very frustrating. Long walk with luggage & lockers you said were available did not hold our luggage & had to find vendor & pay extra to store our luggage for the day as we had booked an excursion. All a bit confusing & not clear at time of booking.

Excellent property in a great location

Spent a lovely weekend here with my Mum and sisters. Apartment building is on a busy street but is very peaceful inside - on the fifth floor but there is a lift. All bedrooms are very spacious with excellent ensuite facilities plus another bathroom. Lounge/kitchen is small and not equipped to make and have more than breakfast here , but that suited us fine. Lots of places to eat nearby. Very close to the Vatican - only a few minutes walk. And five minutes walk to a metro station which takes you easily (and cheaply, compared to London Underground!) to the other side of the river and other famous sites. Stefano really pleasant and helpful and available on mobile should you require anything

This apartment is literally in front of the Vatican and it located in a great location for visiting Rome. The apartment is also very well kept and spacious for large families that are traveling together. Two of the three bedrooms literally oversee the Vatican and you can see St. Peter's Basilica very clearly! We took family photos right from our window. The apartment had everything we needed - a bathroom for each bedroom, a nice kitchen and a great location!The property management company was also extremely responsive and helpful especially for check-in purposes. The property management company also helped us with our airport pickup taxi and apartment which helped us enjoy our trip better right from the airport!Keep in mind that the apartment is located in a beautiful historic building, which means that the elevators were installed at a later point in time. So the elevator stops between floors. To get to the apartment there are roughly 10-15 steps going up when you enter to use the elevator and another 10 or so steps down from the 5th floor to get to the apartment. It's not a lot, but something to keep in mind if traveling with a stroller or a lot of luggage. Would definitely stay there again and we highly recommend the apartment for anyone looking to stay in Rome and especially for anyone looking to be close to the Vatican! Thank you for a great stay!

Pros: Two bedrooms have views of the dome of St Peter's basilica. The location is right on the Vatican wall, so it's easy to hop in line for your tours.Cons: All the traffic that routs around the Vatican wall passes right in front of the apartment at all hours, so sleeping with the windows open for fresh air is too loud. The listing was a bit misleading. In one text section it says 3 bed, 3 bath. But in the photo section, it pictures 4 bedrooms. It was not obvious to me when booking this apartment that the 4th bedroom pictured is actually the kitchen and it's using a pullout couch/bed. When the bed is extended, it hits the corner of the dining room table and there's no way to get to the fridge without climbing over the bed. Thank goodness we did not need to do any cooking, otherwise this would have been terribly inconvenient. In summary, there are 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. There is a 4th room that is a kitchen with a pullout couch. There is a 4th bathroom in the hallway. I was booking for our multi-generational family of 8 and wish I'd understood that the only common room was also the 4th bedroom as we would have liked more room.The host team was very responsive on WhatsApp. The check-in process involves getting the key from a lock-box at a luggage storage facility 5 minutes away (consider using the facility on the same block as the apartment). This was a very different experience from Venice and Florence where our VRBO hosts met us at the apt with maps.

Den Petersdom im Blick

Ich kann diese Wohnung echt weiterempfehlen. Ein großes Dankeschön an Stafano der alles möglich gemacht hat um mir und meiner Familie einen schönen Aufenthalt zu gewähren. Man ist mitten im Vatikan, hat einen super Ausblick vom Zimmer aus. Auch dass jedes Zimmer über ein eigenes Bad verfügt ist ein absolutes Plus für diese Wohnung. Super Restaurants in unmittelbarer Fußnähe, Metro ist auch nicht weit. Einfach Klasse. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.
