This was a great place to stay. Loved that is was a block from the beach and and easy walk. It was aslo very easy to get all over the Charleston area from here. The place is a little dated and could use some up grades but had everything we needed to make breakfast in the morning and 4 of us could spread out.

Besties Weekend

Condo was perfect for our extended weekend. Unit was very clean, bedding comfortable and plenty of towels. Unit overlooked pool and was a very short walk to beach and shops, restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay for our son's recentball tournament! The unit was clean upon arrival. It was stocked with extra linens and lots of dishes. There were plenty of supplies left for washing dishes and extra trash bags. The location is perfect!

Over all a good place to stay

This place worked well for my husband, two grandparents, and our teenage son pretty well. It is dated for sure with some funky decor and paint job, but the location is great because you can walk right to the beach, the grocery store, bike rental shop, and coffee shop. It is super conveniently located if you want to pop over to Charleston, Sulivans island, ect.

Lovely, clean and close

The unit was clean and very comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. Comfortable beds and two bathrooms. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook. There was an automatic ice maker which was nice! We would definitely stay here again.

Great location in Isle of Palms

A lot of great things about the property. They had chairs on site to take down to the beach. Pool view, and easy to get to. Beds are a bit stiff and the dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes at all.

The location was nice

The location was nice because it was jus across the street to the beach access and park. We have stayed on the island several times at different locations. For the needs of quick access to the beach this was nice. It’s an older building so the noise on the room above was heard even into the late hours of the night. So that was annoying but the walls are thin.

Comfortable, affordable, and conveniently located.

Good location, across from park, a block’s walk to the beach, and easy access to shopping and the mainland. The building was dated and well worn. The unit was clean and comfortable but no frills. No hair dryer or Kleenex for example. Kitchen-wear were odds and ends, but completely adequate for us. We called the property managers on a few issues and got a rapid response.

However, the unit had mildewy carpet that needs to be ripped out. The air conditioner did not work properly to cool off in the evening.

Property could use some remodeling

Condo up above unit was very loud and could hear everything. There was no sound barrier. Door to bedroom needs replaced due to falling apart. Was somewhat dirty. Shower facet dripped continuous. No washer/dryer. Limited towels for 3 people staying. Bathroom rugs dirty. Would probably not stay there again.

Great location but could use some updating

The beds are not very comfortable and are very small, they definitely got the cheapest beds possible. The shower handles are falling off, the trim is getting kind of moldy; the shower rings are rusty. Just overall needs some money to be put into it. Even updating the faucet fixtures would be a step forward. There weren’t extra paper towels or extra trash bags so we had to buy some. I just think it can be improved. But the location is perfect.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we enjoyed the time we spent on IOP. The condo we rented had a great location--one block from a beautiful beach. The size of the unit was perfect for 2 people and could accommodate 2 guests. The unit was not thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. We also had issues with both showers and had to have the management company send someone to repair the toilet in the master bedroom. The unit could use some sprucing up (e.g. painting, screen in master bedroom had a hole in it, mattress covers are very worn and should be replaced, etc.).

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love IOP and have been vacationing there for years. We've rented various properties over that time. However, this unit is really showing it's age. We had plumbing issues that took 3 trips to repair, the doors to each bedroom and the master bath would not close because they were either swollen or misaligned, and the queen bed was worn out and uncomfortable. In addition, the decor looked like leftovers from grandma's basement, and the wi-fi only worked 50% of the time. I will avoid this unit if we rent from Island Realty again.

Good and Not So Good

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In general, the property was good. We absolutely loved the extra space that we don't get when we stay at the Sea Cabins. However, on the negative side, I miss seeing the ocean from my balcony. The condo was clean and very nicely decorated, but the bathroom left much to be desired. They were outdated and quite in need of upgrade and refurbishing. One toilet made a very loud sound while refilling after a flush. Water pressure was good. The kitchen was spacious but the appliances, pots, pan, and silverware were in poor condition, stained, and needed to be replaced. The internet was also spotty. Connections were lost frequently but usually for just a minute or two. So, my rental experience was better in some ways but worse in others. I really liked the layout and extra room of the Oceanside Villas but B-206 needs a major upgrade in several areas. We enjoyed our stay and would likely stay there again.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. Your feedback is very important to us. We are glad that you enjoyed the extra space Oceanside provides. As a returning guest, we appreciate that you understand at the beach WiFi and cellular service can be spotty. Please feel free to come back next year, try out one of our DELUXE units and I think you find that all of the other issues you had mentioned will be a non issue. As for those items, we thank you for your suggestions and will bring your suggestions to them!
