Schöne Aussicht auf Lake Cumberland und Pittman Creek.

Das Haus verfügt über eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit neuem Kochfeld, neuem Kühlschrank, Geschirrspüler und Mikrowelle, Waschmaschine und Trockner, Gas- und Holzkohlegrill, Flachbild-TV, Blu-ray-DVD-Player, zentraler Klimaanlage und einer geräumigen Terrasse und Schaukel. Es ist mit folgenden Betten ausgestattet: einem Kingsize-Bett, einem Queensize-Bett, einem Doppelbett und zwei Einzelbetten (Tagesbett und Rollbett).

Wir sind günstig gelegen, 5 Minuten von Burnside Marina, 10 Minuten von Somerset und 15 Minuten von Conley Bottom Marina entfernt.

Very pretty

I loved how it seems secluded but involved at the same time. Very clean, had lots of utensils and extra helpful things. Loved how many towels etc were in the bathroom. Porch was awesome great view.

Some important cleaning needed done,

when we walked we we sighed. It was dimly lite,low watt bulbs in all lamps and dining room overhead light. Kitchen had better light. Bath appeared clean. Kitchen was not clean! Cabinets were sticky. Oven was crusty,I ran the self clean option. Micro was ok. Dishwasher had dried food on silverware basket. I ran an empty cycle through it to remove the yuck. Main complaint was how cold it was. It was never over 65 inside in the evening and sometimes 70 inside in the day. It was chilly,windy,and rainy out so made the space cooler. The deck was the saving grace, beautiful view of the River,marina and lake houses. Furniture was to soft. One Queen bed felt right to our bodies out of 4 beds available. Glad I brought sweats.

Beautiful area, house needs work

The view is beautiful. I think they need to hire a new property manager and/or cleaning service. When we arrived there were no bath towels, hand towels or kitchen towels to be found. There was 1/2 roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and no extra supply. The bathroom mirror had come off the wall and instead of repairing it they simply set it on the back of the sink and it was way too low. I called the manager for the home, he honestly sounded like he had already begun celebrating the weekend. I asked if we could get some bath towels and toilet paper. He said that was the cleaning lady's job and he would call her. When we returned from dinner toilet paper and paper towels had been delivered, still no bath towels. I searched through every closet and finally found a bin with a couple of wash cloths and one bath towel stuck back in the corner of a shelf. It also would have been nice to have a notebook available explaining the tv, area attractions or restaurants etc which we are used to having in all the other homes we've rented through VRBO. I do not plan to rent this house again

Loved the view!

This is a nice little house and is as advertised. Very comfortable and cozy. The view is stunning. It has everything you need in the kitchen. Very quiet neighborhood. Loved our coffee in the morning on the deck. In the evening it was perfect to grill out and enjoy a glass of wine. The outdoor firepit is a bonus. It is rustic but nice and the owner left some wood for us as well. We really enjoyed the warmth and crackle of the fire while looking out over the lake and the lights on the rolling hills. The owners were easy to work with and communication was great. We appreciate that we were able to check in early. We’d highly recommend this house.

Wonderful Lake View But Disappointing Accommodations

The outdoor space was nice and had a great lake view however the house was so musty even after we tried Lysol and candles we could only stay one night of the two we booked. Your shoes stuck to the kitchen and dining area sheet flooring and the carpet and furniture in the living room was very dated and stained. Also the TV was a challenge to operate.

Was in a good location. We had trouble with the beds, king was really hard, not good for my back with several discs messed up and then we went to the other room and we could sleep better, not like at home.

Very nice house with a superb view!

We had a really wonderful stay here! The house was spacious with comfortable beds and seating, tasteful decor, and a small but well designed kitchen. The neighborhood was very peaceful and inviting - very close to Burnside and Somerset, but set back about a half mile from the main road so no city noise. All this was great, but one thing really stood out... ...the deck! The view from the rear deck is AMAZING! It overlooks a fairly active part of Lake Cumberland so you'll see plenty of boats and jet skis, and has an awesome view of Burnside's *Houseboat Capital of the World Bridge* which was icing on the cake. Really couldn't ask for a better view, and the deck had a lot of various styles of chairs which made it extra comfy to spend time out there. We really have nothing bad to say about our stay. It was great, the price was right and the owners were delightful to communicate with. Thanks for the great mini-vacation! PS - Sorry about leaving a few things in the fridge - completely forgot about that til we were home! Wups!

Needs updating.

When we stayed there updates were needed. There is no tv, Just Ruko. Most of the time it did not work. I would suggest having the modem in the living room for better coverage. The bed on the main room is hard as a rock, we couldn’t even sleep on it. Also in the room with two beds, the sheets were huge and would not stay on. The back deck had a beautiful views. However The rails on the desk were very lose and their are huge spaces between the wood. This would not be safe for young.

Relaxing get away

I gave this listing 4 stars, mostly because it isn’t really what most people think of when they think of a 5 star stay. It’s exactly what I picture when I think of a family vacation home. It’s an older home, and it’s been well loved. It’s a bit shabby but comfortable and really clean. It’s much larger than it appears from the front. We slept on the King size bed and while it wasn’t the most comfortable mattress we ever slept on., it was far from the worst. (And mattresses are a very personal thing anyhow.). As the listing says, this home could very comfortably sleep 6. The shining star here is the beautiful view and the expansive deck to enjoy it from. We saw a couple of bald eagles pass by at least four or five times within 24 hours. We visited Cumberland Falls and Natural Arch scenic area while we stayed here. Both were definitely worth seeing, although the Arch requires a bit of work to see, as there are around 160 steps down to get to it. It seemed like a lot more on the way back! I cannot speak to the internet as we were never able to access it. Our phone data worked great though. We didn’t try to watch tv either. My biggest negative is the communication with the host, but this did not factor into my rating. We never got any of the emails that they sent, and in some cases even sent twice,, except for the messages they sent via the VRBO site. Between the two of us we spent better than an hour searching email/trash and junk but never found them. The host had the correct email address so I’m not sure where the problem was. All in all, it was a relaxing weekend.

We have this single home overlooking Lake Cumberland and 2 homes in Hilton Head overlooking the beach and ocean. We have been renting our home at Lake Cumberland for almost 15 years. We make some improvement almost every year. It was a full time residence when we bought it and we've only improved it. We live in Northern KY close to downtown Cincinnati.

We grew up going to Lake Cumberland and camped. We learned to ski there. We have owned our home since 1988. We love the view and comforts of our year around home while still enjoying sitting around a campfire. It has given us many wonderful memories.
