Casa Guisante de Olor is a two bedroom villa overlooking mango and avocado groves, offering breathtaking views from its elevated position on the edge of the Sierra de Tejeda national park. It has been beautifully furnished and has a private pool. Situated below one of Andalucia's most picturesque and unspoilt white hill top villages Comares, which is a fascinating and interesting place to explore. Your spacious accommodation is set on two levels. On the upper level there are two beautiful bedrooms both with en-suite Bathrooms, fitted wardrobes ceiling fans and French windows leading on to an impressive terrace with amazing views across to the see and mountains. Downstairs there is a lounge/diner with air conditioning, which is very well furnished, and there is a very well equipped kitchen and W.C. Leading from downstairs onto a covered porch are two set of french doors, this overlooks the swimming pool and also has the same fantastic views.


This is the place to come for a wonderful relaxing holiday, offering peace and tranquillity, yet the nearest beach is at Torre del Mar which is only 25mins drive away, the shops and markets of Velez Malaga, the nearest town are only 20mins away. In Comares which is just 5 mins away you will find plenty of bars and restaurants, but if you prefer to relax at the villa one evening, and do not want the hassle of cooking, the owner has a well deserved reputation for her excellent cuisine and will cater for you, with prior arrangement.

The property was well equipped and spacious. We personally felt that the stairs could do with a railing. Only because if slipped (and with wet feet or flip flops) you’d have nothing to grab hold of and it would hurt.The property is remote, we had hired a car and enjoyed the solitude but you do need a car to get around.

Amazing view- stunning villa- great hosts

Wonderful holiday

Beautiful villa in a stunning, tranquil setting

Our second two week holiday in this lovely villa in a beautiful part of Spain. We had a wonderful time, exploring the local area including the small village of Comares and fabulous city of Malaga. We loved the seaside town Torre del Mar with its long wide beaches with Spanish families and authentic, unspoilt atmosphere. Thank you Sally and Paul, super hosts as ever!

Beautiful Villa , spacious and very clean . Gorgeous views of the mountains and white villages . Hosts were courteous and available when needed . Only little issue is lack of shade by the swimming pool and not ideal if you have small children as the pool was not fenced (this wasn’t a problem for us though) We loved our stay and would highly recommend the Villa and area .

PEACEFUL AND STUNNING

A total retreat from the Rat Race. We'll be heading back. The villa is tastefully decorated, with every mod con available. The owners Paul & Sally who have a villa very close by make you feel welcome but do not intrude on your privacy. We had a wonderful holiday and can't wait to book again.

Fabulous villa, beautiful setting, superb hosts

We stayed for two weeks in glorious sunshine at this stunning villa. I chose this villa based on the strong, positive reviews and would like to add one more! We've stayed in many villas in Europe over the past 15 years with similar rural settings but this is one of the best. Sally and Paul were incredibly helpful with lots of recommendations but we also felt completely private. The villa is so comfortable, beautifully designed and fantastically equipped. We loved visiting Málaga, Granada, Alhambra as well as local beaches, villages and restaurants. Thanks so much for a wonderful holiday!

Superb villa, relaxing holiday

Lovely, simple, straightforward and easy to stay in villa. All clean and well equipped, beds comfy, towels plentiful and soft. The pool was absolutely fabulous, it was a life saver in the extremely hot weather we had. The views from the pool and the patio area were breathtaking, you can see all the way down the valley to the sea, and there was always a lovely breeze blowing. It’s location means trips to the coast are easy. The road network is windy and steep in places but very well surfaced and not at all as challenging as some of the places we have stayed before. If you’re looking to get away from it all whilst being close at hand for all amenities, this villa is the one! The owners are close at hand and very approachable if needed, but in no way intrusive and we were given complete privacy during our stay.

From booking to arriving everything went smoothly. Sally and Paul were available if we needed them, informative but not intrusive in anyway. We hired a car from Malaga airport with CarGest who were brilliant, easy to find, good price and lovely car. The villa is beautiful and homely, the views are absolutely stunning, watching the sunrise and sunset was wonderful. The location is so peaceful with a large supermarket at the shopping mall about a 20 minute drive away but also smaller ones closer. The pool was heaven and the breeze is definitely welcome as it gets extremely hot. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back again. Thank you Sally & Paul 🌸

Peaceful relaxation with stunning views

The villa listing accurately describes this wonderful property. It is incredibly well equipped, clean and ideally situated in the region, but you must have a car. The owners could not have been more helpful, communication was brilliant. Sally and Paul regularly checked if all was ok, if we had any questions we received a prompt response. The views from the property were breathtaking, our daily sunrise was the highlight of the day. We travelled with two children aged 8 and 12, there is so much to do in the area and the swimming pool was a massive hit! Comares is a very pretty town with a couple of handy shops for any daily supplies, however the main supermarket is only 25 minutes away from the villa. We highly recommend this property!

HEAVEN ON A HILLTOP

Absolutely what it says on the tin - and more! We stayed for a 2 week break in the summer of 2008 and have already booked for a return. The house is immaculately presented, sparkling clean, with superb linens, and very comfortable throughout. The kitchen is well equipped to ensure that any self catering is absolutely stress free and is a great space to create delicious local food to eat under the stars. The position is to be envied and has wonderful panoramic views down to the coast, the house also has all the information you need to sample the area or relax by the 'to die for' pool in this home from home (but with sun!). The Owners are charming and very hospitable but discreet in their attention - truly a place to chill out but close enough to Malaga, Frigliana, Competa and Nerja for days out if you are new to the area.

Stunning !

We stayed at this villa from 15/09/12 - 29/09/12. Upon arrival we immediately knew that we had picked the right one. The views from the villa are stunning and it had absolutely everything we needed. In the welcome notes at the villa, the owners say they have tried to make it a home from home, well they have succeeded, the villa was clean, well maintained and had all the facilities we needed, and more ! The kitchen is very well equipped and we ate on the terrace most nights to make the most of the views. Sally and Paul were very helpful and on hand if you needed anything . We didn’t leave the villa for the first week, there was really no need to as it has everything. However in the second week we did do some exploring and enjoyed Nerja and Gibraltar. The local supermarket is a 5 minute drive away and was well stocked. We would definitely return to this villa. The house and location were very good, however there were a few small things that were disappointing. The main issue for me was that there was no handrail/banister on the 17-step flight of stairs down from the main entrance which was not advised beforehand, nor did any of the photos show the stairs. Had we been aware of this it may had an impact on our decision as I do have mobility issues but can cope with stairs better if there is a handrail. Similarly, we were not advised beforehand that the downstairs toilet was unavoidably out of commission, again a factor important to us. Overall we were satisfied with the cleanliness but we felt a lack of attention to detail, i.e. corners grubby, blue bathroom wall tiles had footprints (?) and we constantly had to keep on top of tiny ants in the kitchen despite sweeping/spraying daily (perhaps to be expected due to the location). The main bed was very comfortable, with crisp fresh bed linen, but was let down by unsatisfactory pillows, although we appreciate the firmness of pillows is a personal preference. In summary, we enjoyed our stay, the location, the pool and the outside area was splendid and we felt totally relaxed there. We have been frequent visitors to the area so we’re aware of the advantages and disadvantages of being in the campo, however the main road and access to the property was fairly good. We would recommend the property, hosts were excellent, but those with mobility issues may struggle.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately your mobility issues were nit mentioned to us at the time of booking , if they had been we could of advised you accordingly. We do not advertise that the villa is suitable for people with mobility issues. We will look into putting a handrail. Unfortunately we were not aware of the problem with the downstairs toilet until the previous clients left, we got a plumber in but did not know till the evening before you arrived that it could not be fixed in time . We are very sorry for the inconvenience thst it caused, there are 2 other toilets. We always tell guests to let us know if they are not happy with anything and we will do all we can to out it right. We are pleased you enjoyed your holiday.

Das Haus war sehr schön und hell. Alles war sauber und wir hatten 3 Bäder zur Verfügung. Der Tag am Pool war mit einer traumhaften Aussicht verbunden. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und hat auch einen geräumigen Kühlschrank mit Gefriertruhe.Um das Haus herum ist lediglich eine Straße, wo ab und zu Autos her fahren ansonsten hat man totale Privatsphäre. Wir waren zufrieden und hatten einen tollen Urlaub! Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein kleiner Hinweis wäre nur dass es so 15 min dauert um einen Supermarkt zu erreichen und 25 -30 min zum Strand braucht.

Super Ferienhaus in toller Umgebung

Wer einen erholsamen Urlaub fernab vom Alltagsstress mag, wird dieses ruhige Haus lieben. Das Haus hat alles was ein Ferienhaus benötigt. Die Vermieter sind super nett. Einmal in der Woche wird der Pool gereinigt. Sally hat den Termin mit uns abgestimmt, sodass wir uns darauf einstellen konnten und einen Ausflug unternommen haben. Als kleiner Hinweis für deutsche Mieter, es gibt nur englische Fernsehsender (BBC 1-4) und das Internet ist nicht Streaming tauglich, wenn mehrere Endgeräte im Netz sind. Für uns Eltern war es kein Problem, aber die Kinder haben sich ab und zu beschwert ;-) . Der Anfahrtsweg zum Haus ist nicht befestigt und ich empfehle einen Pkw mit etwas mehr Bodenfreiheit. Wir hatten einen SEAT Arona und der hat den Weg locker geschafft. Ansonsten kann ich das Haus nur empfehlen und der Blick runter ins Tal nach Vellez-Malaga und Torre del Mar ist einfach nur schön. Wir buchen jetzt bereits seit 10 Jahren Ferienhäuser in Südeuropa und das beste Preis Leistung Verhältnis hatten wir mit diesem Haus.

Die Beschreibung der Vila zusammen mit den Fotos beschreibt das Haus vor Ort ziemlich genau. Wir waren zu viert mit zwei Kindern (11 und 9 Jahre) zu Gast. Sally und Paul sind sehr nette Gastgeber, die sofort halfen, als die Spülmaschine defekt war (mit Monteur; eine Stunde nach Benachrichtigung im andalusischen Hinterland!!). Oder uns Tips zu Stränden, Ausflügen und Restaurants gaben. Gleichzeitig waren sie aber nie aufdringlich. Die Villa ist bestens ausgestattet mit allem, was für einen schönen Urlaub benötigt wird bei Selbstverpflegung. Sie lieg in den andalusischen Hügeln, ca. 50-60 Minuten östlich von Malaga-Flughafen entfernt. Wenn ein ruhiger Urlaub verlebt werden möchte, ist die Lage wirklich top. Der Pool ist eine Wucht und wurde nach einer Woche von Paul gereinigt. Ebenfalls nach einer Woche gab es einen Schwung frischer Handtücher und Bettwäsche. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, können die Villa nur wärmstens empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder buchen. Vielen Dank Sally und Paul für die Gastfreundschaft und die fabelhafte Unterbringung. Es war toll:)

Tolle Villa mit fantastischem Weitblick

Diese wunderschöne Villa mit Spitzenpool können wir wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Es war alles da , was das Herz höher schlagen ließ , der Kühlschrank war bei der Anreise gefüllt, da wir erst nachts ankamen. Selbst ein Wäschewechsel nach der ersten Urlaubswoche wurde vorgenommen. Danke Sally und Paul für den schönen Urlaub!

My most favorite place!

This was the best vacation we had so far as a family of four. From the first moment we set our foot onto the premises we were fascinated by the splendid look over the hills and even the sea. We spent 2 weeks in this wonderful house, already regretting the first evening that we did not own it ourselves... The house is nicely equipped and decorated and in perfect order. The views are outstanding, the pool nice and clean and the surrounding area just breathtaking. The owners were very helpful in many ways and we could not have asked for more. Our boys just spent hours in the pool each day and night and it was hard to leave this place even for a short trip somewhere. It was just too tempting to stay at the pool or the beautiful roof terrace with a glass of wine or two. But of ocurse we did explore the beautiful villages such as comares, cutar or nerja, went to the Alhambra and loved our shopping in nearby benamargosa. We will definitely come back. It was really heaven for us, this place.
