Dieser nautisch inspirierte 2-Br. Wohnung für 4 Personen und befindet sich auf der Dock-Ebene. Je nach Verfügbarkeit können Sie entweder im Bug oder im Heck übernachten. Bow hat ein Kingsize-Bett im Master und 2 Einzelbetten im Gästezimmer. Stern hat 1-King und 1-Double .... Sie müssen erwähnen, ob Sie mehr an Stern interessiert sind, damit ich die Verfügbarkeit überprüfen kann. Sie können beide zusammen für größere Gruppen ab 5 Personen reserviert werden. Wir verfügen über Küchengeräte in voller Größe und eine schöne Sitzecke und einen Gasgrill für die Abende draußen. Es gibt 2 Badezimmer mit begehbarer Dusche in doppelter Größe. Und eine ausziehbare Couch für den Fall, dass Sie mehr Platz benötigen. Diese bezaubernden Einheiten sind nur wenige Gehminuten von allen Geschäften und den fabelhaften Restaurants hier in SWH entfernt. Wir befinden uns im Herzen des Acadia-Nationalparks. Besonderheiten des Parks wie Bass Harbor Head Light und Echo Lake sind nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Unternehmen Sie eine Wanderung auf den Beech Cliffs oder St. Retter für Panoramablick auf die Insel. Verbringen Sie einen Abend mit der Erkundung von Bar Harbor und all seinen Geschäften und dem Trubel. Machen Sie unbedingt eine Walbeobachtungstour oder machen Sie eine Bootsfahrt bei Sonnenuntergang auf einer Friendship-Schaluppe direkt vor Ihrer Haustür!

Great location on the dock and close to activities, downtown. Christi was a communicator and helped with recommendations for activities suited to our interests. The rental was well equipped with kitchen supplies and the best pancake mix and maple syrup.

Staying in this lovely condo on a working marina is unique VRBO experience we won’t forget! The condo was recently redone and very clean and comfortable for four adults. We spent a lot of time outside on the deck, enjoying the cool breezes of the harbor and watching the boats. The condo is walking distance from the town, a number of shops and restaurants, and the bus stop for the free Island Explorer bus to Acadia. Our host was welcoming and very responsive. I’d highly recommend this condo!

The property was great and the host was wonderful. I found it extremely convenient for going to Acadia National Park. Our trip was cut short or rather started late due to airline issues but the time there was great. Our only complaint was early morning sounds from upstairs—sounded like stomping around which can happen with any first floor unit. I would choose this property again however.

Awesome place!

Awesome place, right on the marina! You can walk to restaurants and their little downtown area, about 1/4 mile walk. It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable! Great place to stay, since it was only about 20 min. from Bar Harbor. Will definitely recommend this place to our friends.

We were extremely pleased with this property! The condo was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. We loved the peaceful location and the beautiful views—it was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Acadia. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were large. The photos listed on VRBO do not do this condo justice, it’s so much better than the pictures. Vacationland Coffee is a charming cafe located in the parking lot which we visited every morning. We loved ending the day at the nearby Seawall to watch the waves and enjoy the scenery. There is a small downtown area we walked to everyday for lunch or dinner, Clark Point Cafe was our favorite breakfast. Our family appreciated the selection of board and card games, which we enjoyed playing on the comfortable covered porch. My husband and I also loved the collection of books available during our stay.Bar Harbor was only about a 20-minute drive away, but we were so glad we chose to stay in Southwest Harbor instead. It was quieter, more relaxing, and much less crowded while still providing easy access to everything we wanted to do.The owner was wonderful to work with—friendly, responsive, and quick to answer any questions we had. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Acadia.

Overall, this is a lovely property with comfortable, stylish furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen, two spacious bathrooms, and two comfortable bedrooms. I have two criticisms, however. (1) On the day we checked in, I could not find a number identifying the building in which the condo is located and, because of my poor eyesight, I could not see the condo unit's name (Bow) on the door. I called the host and my call went straight to voicemail but I couldn't leave a message because the mailbox was full. Very frustrating. (2) The bedroom windows face the Southwest Harbor Wastewater Treatment plant that's right next to the condo building. The plant does not smell at all, but the machinery inside the building runs twenty-four hours a day, every day, creating a loud, deep, cycling hum that means sleepless nights for light sleepers like me. Caveat emptor.

Anne, thank you for your candid review. We are not a perfect fit for everyone. We do however try to please everyone who's interested in communicating with us. We do live on an island with kinda wonky cell phone service, communication through the VRBO platform is always preferred and encouraged. Our street is undergoing a renumbering as mentioned via the VRBO portal and as you mentioned, the name of the unit is posted boldly on the door. Unfortunately we are where we are. Our harbor is small and we're all close neighbors. I'm sorry this influenced your time here. Communication is always best, we do have multiple properties and had you reached out we may have been able to make you more comfortable during your stay. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Southwest Harbor Stay

We had a great time staying in the Marina side Bow condo. It had plenty of space for three adults. My father, who is 87, appreciated the peacefulness of the location. He could sit outside and watch the workings of the marina. It was relatively close to Bar Harbor and Acadia where we spent most of our time. Christie made a book that gave many recommendations which was very helpful. When I reached out to her, she was super responsive as well. I would highly recommend this condo if you want to be close to Bar Harbor but want a peaceful place to relax at night. We loved it!

A quiet stay by the water

This apartment at the marina was better than I expected! The pictures don’t do it justice! This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the showers never ran out of hot water, and the kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with necessities. The views of the harbor right out the windows were beautiful. The area was quiet and relaxing. This was a perfect stay away from the busy tourist area of Bar Harbor, but within quick driving distance to everything on Mount Desert Island. The owner was friendly and responsive to our needs. I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at The Cannery’s Bow Unit! The pictures of the interior don’t do it justice! It is so clean and spacious! The decor has plenty of personality, but it felt so uncluttered. All the furniture was so comfortable (including beds) and it was the perfect location for our visit to Acadia National Park! Southwest Harbor is the “quiet side” of the Park, but we still had easy access to shops and restaurants and the free Island Explorer bus route is nearby. A nice restaurant and a coffee shop are actually on adjacent properties (very close walk!) and Sail Acadia (the sunset cruise was wonderful!) is just around the corner in the same building. Be aware that the front living room window and the patio for outdoor seating are facing the parking lot of the marina at the same level, but you still have views of the harbor and the sunsets above the cars and it doesn’t feel noisy or disruptive. The scenery around the harbor is lovely and we had an unobstructed view out the side windows of the living room and the dining area. We were mostly out and about during the day because there is so much to see and do in the National Park and although all of the park is quite close by car or free bus, certain areas like Echo Lake Beach are really nearby. Christie was such a helpful host and even provided some extra guidance and left lights on for us when she realized we’d be arriving late because of a delayed flight. Also, the pancake mix and maple syrup were yummy!

Great location! Walking distance to SWH and close to trails, Bass Harbor and Bar Harbor. The Bow unit was spotless and a great place to end our long days. Christie, our host, was super responsive and our place was ready when we arrived. We would definitely chose this place again.

Our family has been involved with this community through recreation early on and now multiple businesses here. We love the friendly local people and that we can just pop in and out of BH should we want a bit more excitement.

We are located right on site of a full service marina. There's great excitement here in the summer beginning with the colorful local fishermen right through to the amazing Luxury yachts and their crews. Always interesting views and people watching.
