Im Erdgeschoss eines Hauses in einer ruhigen Sackgasse in einer guten, sicheren Gegend im geografischen Zentrum der Stadt. Eigener Eingang. Das Schlafzimmer hat ein französisches Bett. Das (größere) Wohnzimmer hat ein Einzelbett, das wie ein Sofa aussieht, sowie ein echtes Sofa. Beide Zimmer blicken auf den Garten. Eigenes Bad mit Dusche. W-lan. Holzboden. Hervorragende Busverbindungen: Innenstadt / Strand; Marina / MIssion. Garage zur Verfügung: $ 15 pro Nacht .. Die Nachbarschaft ist flach, so einfach zu Fuß zum Golden Gate Park, Laurel Village, Clement St. Bequem zu Fuß zu zwei Feinschmeckerzielen: Arsicault (beste Croissants des Landes); Arguello Markt (bestes Sandwich - Truthahn - in der Stadt). Ebenfalls in der Nähe: ein klassisches Diner, viele Cafés und Restaurants, Post, Apotheke, Banken und FedEx. Achtung: kein Fernseher; Kein Herd - in der Nische gibt es eine Mikrowelle, einen Minikühlschrank, einen Wasserkocher, eine Kaffeemaschine von Braun und einen Toaster. Very good adress to explore San Francisco

The appartment has a good location to start tours to SF. Easy connection by bus. Very friendly host providing and supporting with all you need. As the appartment is on the ground floor, behind the garage of the House, it is a little bit dark. Anyhow, we felt comfortable and did not miss anything. We had what we needed.

Quiet and save

We - two guys from Germany with motorbikes - spent 5 nights in this apartment in early march 2016. For us this little apartment worked well: We had a safe and dry place to park the bikes and a room for each of us. The house itself is in a very quiet street, but sure, you do hear the landlord walking upstairs once in a while. I do understand, why some people in earlier reviews wrote, that they hat a bit the basement-feeling. The bigger room just has a small window, not too much light gets in. The bathroom is one of the smaller sizes. But in all we are not complaining - look up the price, that makes the apartment attrative! We would book again.

Beautiful home in a nice and quiet location. Its not two separate bedrooms, just 1 bedroom with another bed in the living room area but still provided exactly what we needed to be comfortable for out stay and have our privacy. Didn't really utilize the kitchen area as our goal was to explore the city, but location was absolutely wonderful for that! House made old house noises as part of its charm

The place was perfect for a home base during Outside Lands. There was plenty of street parking in addition to being able to park in the garage. Place was clean and bed was very comfortable. This is a basement apartment below other living quarters and we were pleased with the insulation/minimal noise from above. Communication with host leading up to and during stay was great. We would stay here again if/when we are visiting SF. Howard was very welcoming and gave great recommendations of places within walking distance.

Solid Place in a Very Convenient Location

Had a great stay at Howard’s property. It is the lower level of a house, very nice having a garage if renting a vehicle. Very safe area and close access to Golden Gate Park and Muni buses. Howard was accommodating and met upon arrival. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. If looking for a place to stay in the Richmond district or near Golden Gate Park, this is a great option!

Perfect home base for our active vacay in SF

We loved our historic 1930s efficiency/garage, 1 BR w/ kitchenette apartment in quiet Inner Richmond for a family-friendly, active vacation for 2 adults in late July 2025. Howard is a lovely host & was so helpful with advice and assistance when needed. Everything was clean & odor-free. We especially appreciated the bottled water supply for easy daily carry, the entrance shoe rack, & the fresh flowers on the bathroom shelf. Beds were comfy and temp control was great for the SF climate (daytime open windows and central heat at night when needed for the surprisingly cool SF summer). We used MUNI public transport & rideshare throughout our stay to visit all parts of the city, but there's free parking available on site if needed - a real rarity in SF. The neighborhood feels very safe and walkable, with a flat topography and plenty to eat & do nearby, from shopping off Clement to visiting excellent parks like Golden Gate, USF campus, Presidio, and Baker Beach. The unit comes with most amenities you'd need except hair conditioner, so bring that essential for long hair if a necessity for you. I'd also suggest bringing earplugs, noise-cancelling headphones, or a white noise maker if you're bothered by sounds of antique hardwood floors creaking or standard urban neighborhood activity (conversations & TV/stereo sounds from adjacent homes). Having stayed in historic city homes, we were prepared for these things and it was no problem for us. I'd definitely rent again. Thanks!

Charming spot

We loved our stay in Howard’s apartment. The neighborhood is perfect for exploring in all directions—Richmond with all its great restaurants, Golden Gate Park and the de Young museum, the Presidio etc. Nearby Geary street gives you a. Straight shot downtown on the bus. Howard was very helpful and communicative and we particularly appreciated his letting us leave our luggage for a late pick up on our last day. It was a delightful stay.

Cozy garage apartment in the perfect location

The apartment is tucked behind the garage with a delightful garden view. Communication and check-in were easy and efficient. The space is as pictured - a little dated but very clean and comfortable. The bathroom and kitchette are small but set-up perfectly and work great! The bed and linens were very comfortable and there were special things like fresh flowers in the bathroom! I appreciated having a table, chairs and living area. The location is an easy walk to many coffee shops, restaurants and the Golden Gate Park!

Host was the best!

We were very fortunate to have found a place in close proximity to the hospital. Howard was very gracious and prompt in his communications with us and we looked forward to our stay. Unfortunately, the surgery that was to take place had been postponed (four times) and we were unable to stay at the Quiet Garden this time. Howard was very understanding and left a great impression on us, we will look forward to coming here under better circumstances and enjoying his hospitality.

Sweet comfortable quiet garage level apt in good location. Many local restaurants nearby. Efficiency kitchen. Howard who lives upstairs, is a lovely, accommodating host. Parking is moderately challenging if the driveway is blocked which, during our stay, was the case.

Quiet, perfect location, exceptional host

This flat is perfect for either a couple or a single person, we stayed with our adult child who slept out in the living room. It isn't a full two bedrooms, that's the only thing to consider if your group really does require two separate bedrooms and a living area. The second bed is in the living area which was perfect for us. The area is an ideal location, Howard is a wonderful host, it is a beautiful setting and incredibly quiet! If you are looking for a comfortable, quiet, and convenient place to stay in SF close to parks, cafes, and shops, this place is a winner. We would gladly stay here again.

Well Located Property

We spent 10 days here as we helped our son who was hospitalized locally. Two of the main reasons we selected this property were its location and the availability of a garage because parking is a major issue in San Francisco. We were quite pleased with those aspects of the property.Two issues came up early in our stay and Howard was incredibly responsive. Both issues were resolved within a couple of hours of raising them. Howard treated us well and respected our privacy.The apartment is behind the garage in the main building and it faces the backyard. As a result, it was quiet and we had no trouble sleeping.The apartment is on the dark side with one window in the main living area and two in the bedroom. On a cloudy San Francisco day, this lacks the cheery feeling we needed. The place is comfortable but dark.The bathroom and kitchenette are very small. The kitchen sink sits beneath the counter, making it difficult to clean dishes. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby but eating in is challenging. Rental prices in San Francisco are extremely high. We were glad to find this property at a reasonable rate for our extended stay.

Excellent location near Golden Gate Park.

Nice basement apartment. Small wet bar/minimalist kitchen. Small bathroom shower with excellent water pressure. Very comfortable bed. Cute backyard with flowers and patio table. An excellent experience in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood on the west side of the city.

Stay in Inner Richmond

Howard is a great host. Left us a list of nearby restaurants and services. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. Very walkable. I probably would not say there was a kitchen in the unit. It was more like a kitchenette. But overall we really enjoyed our stay!
