A really super base for us to use for our vacation. We alternated pool days with days to explore the area. Really pleased with the accommodation and would love to return at some point.

Wow, what a find! The perfect place to relax and unwind in a beautiful location. The weather was very hot so the pool was a godsend. Excellent, clean accommodation with modern well equipped bathroom and kitchen. Outdoors the bbq/ fridge and sink were very welcome additions! Communication with Linda and Alan was excellent, and instructions to find the house were spot on. Orgiva is a traditional Spanish village with loads of charm. We loved our time here and will definitely be returning.

Second visit to this villa. It is just perfect. Short walk into Orgiva but so quiet and private it is wonderful. Outdoor area amazing!

Relaxing

Very private and relaxing holiday. The pool was fantastic as it was very hot. The pool guy was very helpfull and friendly. Would recommend if looking for peace and quiet and privacy.

The best stay at El Higueral

El Higueral is amazing! We absolutely loved our stay at El Higueral. The surroundings are beautiful. The house is well equipped, the garden in beautiful. We also loved everybody we met, the staff is very kind! Coming home after our day trips felt really good. We can and will recommend this place to everybody and we will definitely come back. From all our stays, this was the best without a doubt! Don’t hesitate to book, a great time is guaranteed :)

Excellent Property but with a few negatives

A lovely house, pool and gardens with beautiful views but several things made it a less than positive experience. During our 10 day stay there was no hot water. We were unable to shower at all and had to wash ourselves, our clothes and dishes by boiling a kettle. We always had a cold water supply but it seemed the water pressure was not sufficient to fire the boiler. This problem should have been resolved rather than just apologised for. Although advertised as providing 'immediate food essentials', on arriving this was found to be only milk, a small amount of coffee and tea bags. Rather underwhelming after a gruelling 12 hour journey from the UK. As Lili, the housekeeper, spoke no English and we spoke no Spanish the Check-in process was more difficult than we expected.

We are very sorry that John had these issues but the situation was out of our control. There was hot water on the day John arrived and he did not advise us of the lack of it until his third day. We immediately asked our maintenance man and a colleague to investigate the problem. They both concluded there was insufficient water pressure for the water heater to work and subsequently found the whole neighbourhood was affected. We advised the water authority, they started the repair the next day, completing it the following day. John was kept fully informed. Our maintenance man visited the house that evening and confirmed the water pressure was fine and the water heater functioning correctly. John was not there but was advised. However, the following morning, John complained there was no hot water. Our maintenance man visited and confirmed the water heater was working correctly with a steady stream of hot water flowing to the outdoor kitchen sink. John was not at the house but was told of the situation and advised to leave the shower on for sufficient time for the hot water to reach the bathroom. No further contact was received from John and it was only later he said he had had no hot water in the final days of his stay. To bring the issue to a conclusion a significant refund was offered & accepted by John. His comment re the provision of food essentials concerns the pack not including sufficient items to create a meal. We are sorry he misunderstood this.

Lovely location and away from it all

If you want peace and quiet then this place is for you, set in beauitful surroundings and well away from the road, this property has its own gated entry, swimming pool is of excellent size and spent time in there during our stay. Property was lovely and clean, kitchen had everything you needed. Ceiling fans certainly helped during the evening and night, We spent many a night sitting out on the balcony watching the lights come on in the houses on the hillside as it got dark. Was nice to have a covered carport certainly kept the vehicle cooler during the day, was nice to watch the water come down the mountains and water the garden, we also helped ourselves to the fruit around the property. If you get the chance visit the Orgiva Secret Tea Garden which is just 10mins up the road, set in lovely grounds the food & drink is very good, or visit Mario`s which is near the local Police station where they do lovely home made food and nice selection of drinks. The communication from the moment we booked to when we arrived was excellent even when we had a few minor problems they were dealt very quickly. A couple of things we would like to recommend are the car hire company Nisa Cars from the Airport at Malaga we hired a VW Golf Auto hired it for 7 days and only paid 155 euros which also included the insurance plus another driver, they do a great selection of vehicles and no need to pay up front which is an added bonus. Also if you got time go to Motril and then pick up the coastal road to Malaga N340, its lovely plenty of bars and restaurants to stop just for a drink or something to eat, plenty of seafood restaurants if thats what you like. Traumhafter Ausblick.

Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich toll und erholsam. El Higueral hat einfach ein unbeschreiblichen Ausblick in alle Richtungen und ist sehr ruhig gelegen, perfekt zum Entspannen! Die Kommunikation fand stets sehr angenehm statt, so dass wir uns bestens informiert und vorbereitet fühlten. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens weiter empfehlen!

Unser kleines Paradies

Auf dem Grundstück und in der Finca kann man sich eigentlich nur sehr wohlfühlen und gut entspannen. Alles passt sehr gut. Der Pool ist ein Traum. Die Umgebung ringsherum ist so schön bergig und man kann jeden Tag etwas Neues entdecken. Das Bett war super bequem und es ist eigentlich alles da was man benötigt. Auch in der Stadt ist alles zu finden was man zum täglichen Leben braucht. Alle super nett und auch bei fragen würde uns immer schnell und sehr sehr super geholfen. Unser Lieblingsplatz war unter der Steinbank unter der Olive. Für die die Ruhe suchen ein optimaler Platz. Tausend Dank an Linda, Steven, Lilly, alle waren super!!!

Einfach grossartig

Es war noch besser als beschrieben, sauber, komplett ausgestattet, absolut ruhig, eine tolle Veranda!!! Stephan (sehr sympathisch) kam mehrmals wöchentlich um den Pool zu reinigen. Bei Fragen oder Sorgen waren sowohl er als auch Lilly immer für uns da. Unser Frühstück bestand aus Frisch gepflückten Feigen, Granatäpfeln, Zitronen usw. Im weniger als 2 km gibt es einen großen Supermarkt. Voll erholt fahren wir traurig zurück. Bis zum nächsten mal!

Lovely peace and quiet

We loved it here, there was so much space both inside and out for just the two of us. Lovely traditional building and lemoms growing right by your balcony. Views to die for and all involved very helpful.

location bien située mais peu adaptée à la saison.

Nombreux désagréments matériels qui ont du être réglés en partie au cours du séjour. Pas de chauffage , serrure cassée , pas de pression d'eau , impossible de prendre 2 douches consécutives avec eau chaude! Equipements intérieurs à adapter pour location début avril.

Perfect stay, lovely setting.

We had a very good time. The house and surroundings were perfect and very peaceful although the property is very close to town; the pool was heaven. It is a perfect place to enjoy the surrounding villages, which are all stunning.... but it is also great to stay at home, take a plunge in the lovely-big pool and enjoy a home made BBQ with local products bought in the shops in Orgiva. We wish we could have stayed longer.... a lot longer...! The property was clean and the caretaker was always available on WhatsApp. A very pleasant stay.

Beautiful bungalow on a magnificent location with lovely swimming pool

The bungalow is very well equipped and beautiful located and the end of the village. The huge garden, lovely terrace (under a big olive tree), outdoor kitchen and lovely swimming pool make this place a beautiful place to 'celebrate' a holiday. The surrounding and vieuw at the tops of the Siera Nevada are beautiful. Granada is only 50 km away.

Relaxing, peaceful, breathtaking views!

Homely comfortable villa well equipped, brilliant outside patio areas, wonderful clean pool, great for swims in the evenings in the coloured lights, lovely walks amongst the fruit and nut trees, nice private location, friendly owners who are there if you need them. Definately recommend this villa.
