It was great staying at this property again. My husband and I really love that it’s spacious, peaceful, and affordable. We, along with our little dog, enjoy the area a lot. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing, and my parents always love coming here to hang out, unwind, and play board games together.We really appreciate our time here and are looking forward to coming back.

would love to know what brought you to Deland. This place is one of a kind, in our opinion, but then again, we raised our family here and we are kind of prejudice about it. Beaches, River, Fishing, Festivals, great people, close to everything yet a mile away from congestion and city stuff. And the Florida lifestyle and weather, can't be beat.

Truly it was Grandmas home before I moved her in with us. And thanks to our guests reviews we are in the process of upgrading some of the furniture for more comfort. Hope to see you again soon. PS We just had a new Metal roof installed.

Pleasant & Stressfree

Area was in a good neighborhood. in Deland. The location was convenient to lots of things to do. This was much better than a stay in a hotel and priced right. Thanks for helping make a great vacation!

Very glad to hear you enjoyed the house and Deland. This is our home and we love the whole Deland Vibe from the #1 ranked small downtown to the St John's river and our very own Stetson University. A vacation here can be as relaxing as you want or as exciting with all the parks, beaches, boating, fishing and races.

My brother and I stayed at this house for a long weekend and it was exactly what we wanted at a very fair price. The carport, covered front porch and screened in back porch were all really nice, especially when it rained but we wanted to sit outside. There are two bedrooms with comfortable beds and plenty of storage areas. My only complaints would be the kitchen is very small, so it would be hard to cook a sizeable meal in there, and the water pressure and temperature are not great. We both couldn't shower in the two separate bathrooms at the same time and you pretty much had to turn the hot water up all the way without using the cold at all to get a warm shower. But overall, we loved the property and the owner was friendly and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Felt safe and secure

This was an older home, clean, but no dishwasher. No problem for us, but it might be for a family, so bring your paper plates! This was located in a nice, safe neighborhood with nice neighbors and close to restaurants, etc.

Great Place to Hang out and Relax

This property is very clean and nice. Air Conditioning works great. Its a wonderful place to get away for the family or if your going to the Nascar Race. 20 mins to track. Close to a Winn Dixie to get all groceries. Bill is a great guy and will help you anyway possible. 5 Star HOME

Nice Comfortable Pet Friendly House with great location

This is an older home but very well kept. It was the perfect set up for our dog with a fenced in backyard and screened in porch. The house is in a nice quiet neighborhood and close to the historic downtown which is a quaint area with shops and good restaurant choices. It is an ideal location for other sightseeing such as Disneyworld, Universal Studios, the ocean beaches... We also enjoyed the hiking and biking trails in the area. The owner, Bill, was great in responding to any and all communications and contacted us during our stay to check if we needed anything.

July 2020 Trip

Property has not been updated so renters need to know this & not set higher expectations. Lots of room, basics (microwave, coffee maker, etc.) provided. Beds comfortable, adequate telecommunications. Excellent accommodations for the cost. Property is located close to all needed services but, would not be walkable to historic area.

Grandma’s House is Great

This was the perfect house for my parents and their small dog. It had plenty of room and layout was like two master suites each with their own bathroom. The screened in porch was wonderful to sit outside and enjoy morning coffee or evening dinner without worrying about mosquitoes. Nice size fenced in backyard to allow their dog to go outside. The neighborhood was quiet and nice area to walk. We loved the location. It was close to everything...stores, historic downtown, state parks, etc. Even though the pandemic happened during the stay, they had a nice place to stay and felt safe. The owner was very nice and responded quickly to any questions we had. He also provided a new grill during our stay. I recommend this property to anyone coming to this area. We love Deland!

Grandma is alive and well and very pleased with the way her house is. She does however suggest we replace the antique dining room set but I like having things I grew up with still being used. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Review for Grandmas Place

Very impressed overall with the property and the entire stay. The property was in a very good location. Quiet community and able to walk daily. the property was clean except could use a little deep cleaning. Called the manager and he was very responsive to our calls. The only problem that we had was that the furniture in the tv room was very dated and very uncomfortable. Looking forward to a staying in the property in January. John and Patsy Sage

It was perfect for us!!!

My college roommate and I stayed here for Stetson's homecoming last weekend. the house was perfect for us! It was easy to find, and only about 1 mile from campus and downtown DeLand. We had plenty of room, the beds were comfortable, and the house was clean. And there here were some very nice surprises for us on the dining room table when we arrived. When I couldn't get one of the lamps to work on our first night, I left a voicemail with the owner, who had someone one out there the next morning to fix it. He was very pleasant, and even share a bit of history about the house. The screened in back porch looked so inviting! Unfortunately we already had breakfast commitments each day, so we didn't find time to sit out there. We're alreedy trying to think of reasons to return to DeLand soon so we can stay at Grandma's Place again!
